Our stay at the T.O. Hotel was pleasant. Although the room was pretty small, it was clean, with all the necessary amenities and in a convenient location. The staff was very kind, too, so we recommend this hotel.
PROS: 1. Strategically located in between Shunglian and Zhongshan MRT stations. We prefer the Zhongshan station (exits 5 and 6) because I believe it's much closer. There's also a nearby Family Mart, Wellcom grocery mart, coffee shop, eatery, bakery, banks, and Ningxia night market. 2. Accommodating staff, got a very good customer service Since our arrival was at past 1 in the morning and their reception is not a 24-hour thing, I was communicating with one of the staff (thru LINE app) days before our arrival and she sent me a step-by-step video on which side/entrance of the hotel should we proceed upon arrival, how to open the main door (with PIN code), how to get our room card, etc., etc. Thru that, my family and I never encountered problems checking in. All was well. Also, the driver of our airport pick-up service didn't leave until we were already safely inside the hotel. And on our last day, while hailing for a taxi outside of the hotel, the lady receptionist, went outside and asked if we were already on our way to the airport. When we said yes, she offered to get us an airport service because hailed cabs might charge us of over a thousand Taiwan dollars. We said yes, of course, and in no time, a car appeared and brought us to the airport for only 800 NTD. =) 3. Free breakfast 4. Family Room Contrary to some of the comments here, yes, the room is not that big but it isn't that small too. What really small is the bathroom. From the toilet area, you have to move sideways to go to the shower area. But it's ok. At least it's clean and useable and it has a free toiletries (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste). 5. Daily Housekeeping (even if you don't ask them to) Clean towels and tissues are being changed/supplied everyday. 6. WiFi is fast, TV got cable channels, and the number of power sockets for charging is more than enough. 7. Free unlimited drinking water, in hot, warm, and cold. CONS: 1. On our last night, we were no longer supplied with clean towels and rug. We used our own face towels that we fortunately brought. 2. Hope the free breakfast can get more variants.…
What a lovely hotel. Great location. Lovely staff. Nice and clean. Good aircon. Nice coffee and free breakfast. Free hot water for drinks and noodles. Free cold water after a hot day. Comfortable beds. And great value. Rooms could do with more hangers though.
This is the place to stay if you are in Taipei for a short stay. We booked a room for 4 pax during our recent trip & will not hesitate to book here again for our future trip to Taipei. The room is clean & new with firm beds. Towels and toiletries are provided. Just would like to add that the size of the bathroom is quite small. We loved the breakfast that comes with the room package. There are a few choices to choose from & our yummy favourites are: 1) veggie pastry sandwich 2) thick cut toast with coconut paste 3) thick cut toast with garlic & herb butter The hotel is located on a main road & you do not need to go into small lanes to find this hotel. You can also walk to Zhongsan MRT station from here. The staff at the hotel is helpful, especially Ms Vivian who has offered advice where to go for food & tip on getting to airport from Taipei Main Station. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much to Ms Vivian and the staff of T.O. Hotel for making our stay a good one!…
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in a standard double room. Our room was very small but had everything you needed. Since we just traveled with backpacks it was fine. I think two suitcases would be impossible to fit on the floor. Basically you open the door and fall into bed. But on the other hand the location of the hotel is great. Not so noisy but still close to the center. The communication with the hotel via line was absolutely amazing. Fast replies and good explanation, since we arrived very late and had a late check in. For breakfast you can choose from a small menu with bagels and toasts. We had both and they were simple but tasty.
Small sized room reflect in price. Very reasonable but small. Clean and breakfast included. Rooms have w-c but two rooms have shared w-c and it's a great deal in bsement. Staff very friendly. Elevator slow.
I was making a quick trip to Taipei during the weekend and found this lovely hostel that was tucked away in the busy streets. As per other reviewers, this hotel is between two mrt stations so you can access via both ways. It's also located 2 blocks away from ningxia markets so you'll never go hungry. I stayed on level 2 but noise wasn't an issue as my window was facing the side street. The bed was very comfortable but be conscious it's for short term stay as the size is relatively small. If you're out and about, I don't see you need the space but if you have a large luggage, you may struggle to open it with the floor space. A medium or cabin size luggage is fine. The room is clean and kept well with basic amenities. The stay comes with complimentary breakfast which was decent cafe standard. I had the almond toast which was very tasty. Overall, if you are looking to stay in a budget friendly place, convenient and don't mind limited space then this is a great choice. …
Location: 5* There are two main stations within walking distance - both at about 10 minutes walk away. Ningxia market is also just a throw of stone away and you couldn't fault anything. Service: 5* Impeccable service. To be precise, my partner and I both had terrible food poisoning from day 2 onwards and the staff went all the way out to make sure our stay was better. They specially cooked rice porridge with no additional charge for us which was a very nice gesture. They were really friendly and patient which I couldn't fault anything too. Room: 2.5-3* We were allocated to the highest (5th) floor where it was accessible by stairs and a disable outdoor lift. No complains on normal days when we didn't mind walking. However, just as bad as our luck could get, the lift were broken when we were both very sick from food poisoning. We had to pay a couple of visit to pharmacy and dinner and having to climb up the stairs was a pain. The room was small which was expected from pictures. But it was a little worse than expected (or just cos we were sick). You could hardly move around in the room with 2 and a luggage. Basically once you open the room you will need to jump into bed lol. Also, with all the food poisoning - it was just unpleasant when one is hogging up the toilet bowl and the other you lie on the bed next to the toilet bowl with a panel apart. The room is really humid too for some reason? The glass panel near the window was all wet and your clothes that hangs there gets moist too. Price: The price was a steal for its location and partially condition (new) given if jt was a single bed and single traveller. It really wasn't too pleasant for 2 and you will get a little claustrophobic at some stage. Overall, we were really appreciative towards the nice gestures of the staff and it really wasn't much of their fault - just our luck. At times we were so sick I wish we had a better accomodation since we spent so much time in the room resting. Thank you staff :)…
At the time of my stay, there was no review on TripAdvisor, but based on the price and some reviews on Hotels.com, I booked my stay here anyway. The hotel is located in the middle of two metro stations, and I personally tried using two stations, the travelling time from the hotel to the station is approximately the same. The entrance of the hotel is a small cafe with a open-kitchen and reception. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, she gave me a short introduction about the night market and transport near the hotel. The room was small, to be exact, it was really small. There was only 1 double bed in the room, and nothing else, no wardrobe, no standing lamb, no water boiler. There was simply nothing. But I still struggled to open my suitcase. Imagine that I had to share the room with my friend. The bathroom was small, when I closed the bathroom door, there was simply no space for me to turn around. The sleeping quality was quite good, but noise from the pipelines or adjacent room could be heard when it was quiet. Daily room service was provided. Toilet amenities were refilled or changed daily. Bottled water was provided daily for no extra charge. Bed was made but I believe the bed sheet was not changed. But all in all, the room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and there were 2 choices for breakfast daily. The food was good and the ingredient was fresh. A good start for the day! In conclusion, there was no major complaints or disappointments. After considering the price and proximity to the city centre, T.O. Hotel can be your choice in your next stay. But you have to bear in mind that it is a small and basic hotel, don't expect too much from it.…
This room is about the size of a semi-double bed with about 1m from the feet to the wall and 0.3 feet from the bed to the toilet separated by a sliding door. The other 2 sides are pushed directly against the wall. Definitely not recommended for 2 people. This is a backpacker type accommodation with a capsule sized room with a slight difference of a very tiny personal bathroom. The prices do reflect this but again this room is not meant to be for 2 people even though they allow it. You can't really even open your luggage here. The location is pretty good as it's about 7-10 min from MRT station, and surrounded by some of the best eats in Taiwan. If you are a backpacker with some spare money and want to have your own room instead of a dorm, you may consider this one.
