A nice hotel with a really nice Cafe. Decorated with beautiful and elegant Provence style interior design. Food is good, especially coffee, tea and desserts. Smoothies is highly recommended. This was our random selection since other places were either full or left only small tables which couldn’t accommodate us! It turned out quite an cozy place for our gathering! Decor was kinda country homy, drinks were good, We ordered berry juice, latte! We also tried their Italian spaghetti, n brown sugar cheese cake! We weren’t there for the stay so couldn’t know how their rooms are! But I googled it, it seems quite comfortable n rooms are with different themes!
We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and not only did Wilson wait for us to arrive, DG Hotel also let us check in early free of charge. They also upgraded our room for our first night! While they already had been open for more than a year compared to when I last went, everything still felt brand new, well maintained and taken care of. They also added English instructions for the vent and AC (something I took note of during my first stay). A lot of places to eat in has also opened nearby, so you can take your pick. The location is quite nice because it's still near the main attractions but is in a quiet neighborhood. Audrey helped us book a tour at the last minute, and I wish I can give more than 5 stars for the staff of this hotel (Audrey, Wilson, Summer, Cindy, guy with glasses). :)…
The hotel environment is very clean and quiet which is very suitable for holiday. It's located close to MRT station (within ~5minutes walking distance). The hotel staffs are very helpful and nice. 酒店很清潔及寧靜,很適合休假。它很靠近捷運站(大概5分鐘的步程)。酒店的員工很樂意幫助客人。
The people are really friendly and helpful. The room (we had 306) was fine. Not huge in size but clean and fresh. The bathroom was the good part with a Japanese toilet and a device to dry your clothes that we washed after sweating like hell in summer there. Breakfast was ok.
D.G. Hotel is located at close proximity to the 大桥头 MRT Station. Take a walk through one of few oldest commercial streets in Taipei, and appreciate the history and culture of old Taipei. You will find different styles of architecture and the traditional shops which offer various goods and services. They all shaped the earlier visage of this city.
Great location for exploring the Dihua Street area. Notified the property that we had to check-in late after mid-night. And when we arrived, despite some hipcup to locate the place, a lovely lady was there to greet us even in the wee hours. She also turned on the air-con in the room so that we don't have to wait for the room to cool down and could take a rest straight away. Appreciated her greeting alot! We were upgraded to a family room with 2 double bed duplex, interesting layout and a good size room. If the odour of the room could be cleared, it would be perfect.
It looks exactly (if not better) like their website photos in person. The facilities are great. Nice bathroom. Hotel is fairly new so nothing is worn out yet. The location of the hotel is near the train station, but not a lot of places to eat within the vicinity. Taxi fare is less than 1200 TWD to and from the airport. The staff is very helpful. Someone is available 24/7. There are no English maps or english instructions to operate the ac or the fancy bathroom air vent (it does have helpful icons), so you will have to call the reception for that. Complimentary breakfast serving is huge compared to typical Asian standards. They have a cafe you can order food from but only during day time.
