Stayed here recently with my family with 3 kids, age 12, 12, 10. We booked the 2 bedroom family bunk bed room and absolutely loved our stay. The kids loved bunk bed room too!
We were served by Noodles for our check in and she's friendly and helpful. I must say all the staffs in Hyatt renders great service to the guests.
Hotel is located along the Kamala beach, there's only a small Kamala city centre which free shuttle bus service is provided at certain timings. There are some restaurants, small 7-11 and massage places over at the Kamala centre. Location wise there is really nothing much around the hotel area and area is quite secluded by itself. To walk to city centre took us a good 20 minutes up and down the hill - lesson learnt take the hotel shuttle bus or taxi.
Our hotel room was spacious and very clean. Love the idea of kids having their own bunk bed while parents still have their private space. Toiletries items are all provided for, drinking water & fresh towels provided daily. There is also a safe in the room to keep your valuables.
We will need to take a buggy to travel within the hotel as this place is huge and buildings are all up in the hill. Buggy will come in about 5 minutes after you call "0" and request for one via the room telephone.
There are alot of activities for kids in the hotel, what was interesting was really the Marine biologist centre which kids can join in the lesson and learn about marine animals etc. Do make booking via the concierge for your kids for the various lessons in advance. Some activities are free and some will need cash top up.
Hotel breakfast was sumptuous and food selection is wide. We also went for dinner at the restaurant Casa Boho at the hotel - serving mexican/western cuisine. Food was delicious however portion is quite tiny and price is a little steep.
Overall loved our stay here at Hyatt Regency, great place especially for family with kids. Kids can be occupied with the activities provided at hotel. There is also Nanny services provided at the hotel should you want a break in looking after your young kids.

Had a great stay at the Hyatt. The Club Rooms are great value as the daily reception includes great cocktails and mini buffet with a spectacular view from the top of the resort. The food is wonderful, especially the breakfast buffet which is a real standout for quality of food. Casa Boho is very cool with great music and they do have a little pool area if you don’t like the kid noise at the regular pool. Always found a lounger or sun bed with no problems. Room was great and the whole resort is very clean and very few bugs. We did the hotel hike with Mickey and he was a fantastic guide, his English is excellent and he gave us a great tour as we hiked. The hike is quite steep! Take the walking stick they offer you! He also gave a tour of their marine biology center which is lovely with a beautiful live jellyfish display. The staff and so welcoming and nice. Would love to come back💕

We recently stayed here for 5 nights using our Hyatt points. The hotel is a little older. The pool is really big and we enjoyed it. The beach in front of the hotel is unswimmable and has ugly rocks in the afternoon during low tide. The hotel provides the shuttle to the beach but it's inconvenient because the 1st shuttle starts at 11am. Be aware that it says picking up at Kamala Center as a big header but the fine line says tsunami memorial park. Google map does show direction to Kamala Center but it's not the same location for picking up the shuttle. The 3rd night coming back from the beach, our room wasn't clean. I called the hotel service and immediately they said the sign donot disturb was displayed so they didn't clean the room. We never put up such signs. We went to the pool thinking they would clean the room immediately. 45 mins later we came back to the room and it wasn't clean. The 2nd call was placed and we said we could not take a shower because we needed the room cleaned with fresh towels. 30 mins passed by and a 3rd call was placed. They came by with fresh towels... We showed them the uncleaned room then we had to wait for another 40+ mins while they cleaned the room. I complained that this is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. The next day their apology was a basket of fruits and some decorative towels with orchids on the bed. We ate at the restaurant by the pool a couple times. The food is ok but the presentation was great. The waitress Nadia was very warm and friendly. I would probably not stay here again because of the hotel location and inconvenient shuttle schedule to the beach.

We stayed for 2 weeks which was probably a little too long. We requested a room change straight away as our sea view was restricted by the room’s & trees in front of us! So they moved us a block up Rooms were really good, towels & bedding changed (you could request daily) although the cleaner often came after 5pm. The regency club where we spent happy hour 5-7 was brilliant. The 3 ladies couldn’t be more attentive. They are a credit to the hotel. Food was good. Our daughter slipped in the bathroom on dripping air con water & they were very good with ensuring it was sorted. Sending mechanics to fix, checking she was okay & she even got free breakfast ice cream. There is no proper beach in front of the hotel that can swam in or played on for long. Lots of coral and a couple of sunbeds. The pool is huge and more than adequate. Could always get a sunbed as people moved their towels when they went for lunch. The staff worked tirelessly hard. If anything is wrong, please tell them & they will try & sort straight away. The massive minor point is the gym is useless. Couple of aerobic old machines but no strength & conditioning equipment at all. 14kg were the heaviest dumbbells. The hotel is also not close to anything & I would not walk along the narrow road. They do provide a free shuttle a couple of times a day but book if you can as it gets full. It was a lovely hotel but let down by the lack of gym. The website pictures are a bit deceptive. A nice hotel and the staff make this.

The hotel staff were AMAZING! We selected this property because I suffer from food allergies and communicating was my concern. Thank you Helena at the front desk for all your help with our currency exchange.
A special “thank you” to Vivek the restaurant manager. He checked in with me every morning and ensured my food was prepared without peanuts, peanut oil, saffron, and no soy sauce.
A special thank you to management for the wine and cake acknowledging our 25th anniversary.
The breakfast staff members were attentive and great. Thanks to Fly, Koi, Golf, Tangmo, and Arm for remembering my food concerns.
The property sets up in the mountains, but it isn’t a problem coming down from your room. The golf cart team members are quick and efficient. A special “thank you” to “Dan the Man”, Kiot, and Zoro. We miss you!
Housekeeping was great. Thanks to Kad and Kwan for the towel art and the little treats in our room. My husband and I enjoyed the Thailand candies.
The property has a beautiful roof top club called “Casa Boho”. Poor marketing efforts. The music selections are terrible and this place is a true diamond that NO ONE visits. The server named Beer is great! The hotel should consider marketing to the guest population and the surrounding properties with ‘Ol School 70’s - 90’s music. Just this travelers opinion and observations. Even marketing foam parties in the pools may attract more customers.
We rated the property 4 out of 5 because it is extremely quiet. No entertainment and it is isolated. If you want total quiet, this is the property for you.

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and were incredibly disappointed to leave.
The staff are amazing led by the engaging and super helpful Mickey where a text message is sufficient to find all necessary information and make bookings. He is a class act and a huge asset to the hotel but along with the broader team from check in, concierge taking you up to the rooms, breakfast and housekeeping we couldn't have been better looked after.
The Hyatt is a 200 BAHT trip or 25 min walk to Kamala beach and originally we were worried about the location. We mixed things up and went into the beach for food and shopping without finding the travel difficult or expensive. The Hotel has a shuttle service but limited times of the day and we didn't use it. Slightly more time options might be good as things get busier especially in the evening.
The hotel itself is well looked after and there are no signs of a post covid decline which we experienced at other hotels in Phuket. The breakfast was sensational. We had a Regency Suite which allowed access to some free drinks and nibbles after 5pm. An amazing location and the staff couldn't have been more attentive there as well.
We used the Spa which was well priced for an upmarket hotel and there were plenty of both paid and free activities on offer. There is plenty to do.
We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning one day.

The moment that you arrive at the Hyatt Regency Resort Phuket, you get a sense of classy, roomy and a very beautiful Resort. The staff on welcoming you through to the Maintenance staff, you are always acknowledged and warmly welcomed with a friendly smile and hello. The food is fantastic form the breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant and the Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant is of a high and fresh quality. A great location over looking the bay to the Andaman Sea and only a 10 minute walk to the shops and beaches of Kamala. There is a hotel bus to and from Kamala at set times, or take a 20 minute Tuk Tuk ride to Pathong Beach and Jungceylon Shopping Centre. There is a small beach with a beach club in front of the hotel, to relax and take in all of the beautiful views.

I was hesitant to go to Phuket because I was afraid it would be a site of overtourism. The Hyatt is nicely sheltered from it all. The highlight is definitely the marine biology center on site where you can go snorkeling with a marine biologist. I have all the snorkeling kit from Malaysia and Hawaii, but it was really unnecessary because they have quality kits that seem to have been purchased a year ago. I’m actually a fearful snorkeler after having nearly drowned on the big island of Hawaii last year. The marine biologist Nadia could totally intuit my trepidation and was excellent in creating an atmosphere that felt safe. You swim over a walkway covered during higher tide and they have a buoy that marks the end of the walkway and the snorkel guide has polypropylene rope and a life preserving ring attached to her body, so that if you get freaked out, you have something to hold onto. The waves are very gentle since Kamala Bay is protected. We were out there for about an hour, which is ample time to see a wide array of fish and corral. Lots of parrotfish, butterfish and cool things like iridescent blue giant clams and a morey eel. We were in a group consisting of 2 couples.

Average stay at the Hyatt regency Phuket resort. The hotel location is very private, the room is okay, the air conditioner in the room can be improved, blowing strong air even though was on low. The room was also quite humid.
We loved the pool. The pool is incredible, suitable for kids, great view, large and even tho on a busy day u won’t feel very crowed there. All staff at the pool are very nice and caring, especially Lee! Lee would greet us and get water, ice, and towels ready for us every time, and he took extra care with us like always asking what we need or bring toys to my baby to make sure my baby is having a fun time too. 👍🏻

As Neha S mentioned yes kids are allowed at Casa Boho.
We also have The Den, game room on first floor what is super fun for kids.
There is also kids menu.
