Food in the restaurant wasn’t great , I ordered a yellow curry and asked it to be spicy however very bland .it did not compare the the yellow curry we had for breakfast which was amazing . We did complain however no response from the management . We are here for 3 more days so they may respond late
Drink are expensive for what they are . Our cocktail last night was average and not much alcohol for 320 baht . We have had some great cocktails on Kamal beach for 100 baht which was far better than the hotel . Need to up their game here

I recently stayed at Namaka for three nights, and while the views were breathtaking and the surroundings clean and beautiful, the service left much to be desired. Despite repeatedly calling for golf carts, they often never arrived, forcing us to walk up and down steep hills. Room cleaning services were extremely slow and delayed as well. The breakfast options were particularly disappointing for Indian travelers—uncooked chole and boiled rajma were the only choices, so if you’re from India, you might find yourself surviving on just bread and croissants. To make matters worse, I found lizards and many insects in my room, which was unsettling. Additionally, the location is quite remote; Patong Beach, where most activities and amenities are, is a 40-minute drive away. If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle and simply relax, the area might be suitable, but I wouldn’t recommend Namaka. Also the pillows will take your life, so damn hurting on the neck.

We had an absolutely terrible experience. Looks nothing like the photos, and the team were highly unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.
We had booked to stay at Namaka on New Year's Eve, as it was close to where we would be celebrating that night at Cafe Del Mar, and appeared to have luxurious pool facilities that we could use in the run-up.
After checking in, we were informed that, so the hotel could set up their own NYE event, the main pool would be closed all day. A second, length pool was all that was on offer to scores of guests who were trying to cram into the facility. Even this second pool closed at 3pm, at which point the hotel suggested we walk down to a public beach (passed off as their own amenity!) that looked like a sewage works.
Dining from this point on was in-room only, with the restaurant and bar facilities also closed, and we tried to take a nap around 6pm before getting ready to go out for the night. At 6.30pm, the hotel's NYE 'event' started - consisting of a lady screeching rubbish down a microphone at full volume for three hours straight, narrating the current weather conditions, talking through every single item of food at the buffet...
We left as early as we could the following morning. On 2 January I then wrote a formal complaint to the hotel directly, outlining that we were unhappy with the poor condition of the property not commensurate with its marketing photography, and the fact that the advertised facilities were unavailable, plus that we suffered a great deal of noise during the setup of the event. On 3, 4 and 7 January I followed up through multiple channels to enquire as to when I could expect a response to my complaint and request for refund. Having still heard nothing six weeks later, I am in the process of engaging booking.com through whom I made the reservation, to have the property removed from their site.

The actual hotel was excellent, however the last night of our13 nights stay we have decided to go to the restaurant for a diner. We have waited for 10min for someone to come and give us the menu. As I was very hungry I have gone my self for it. After waiting for another 30min no one has noticed us , so we have waived for someone to get our order. It wasn’t busy at all, there were only 4 tables . The people sitting next to us, has started glancing at us, we have mentioned that this is actually looks like a morning buffet and none is noticed us at all. After leaving for a quick 5 min when we came the people was gone.In the mean time after realising that there is some rain water left on the actual floor some of the staff came and actually started cleaning the floor with the white big towel. In front of all the customers . After realising that the people are looking she has left. So , food is actually good, prices are very high, cocktail 350bath, the morning buffet 750bath each. Another thing if we are talking about the actual 5 star restaurant the cutlery was left on the table without been placed at least on the napkin. The front staff which takes care of the luggage and the actual reception they are excellent. However the waitresses are not at all. Overall, very overpriced, avoid eating in the restaurant.

My family and I have just returned home from an 8 day stay here to finish off our time in Thailand and overall our stay was pretty good. As a lot of the reviews are saying, there is room for improvement. We just put these down to everywhere trying to get back on their feet after COVID-19.
The hotel itself is really smart and situated not too far from town, especially if you don't mind a 20 minutes hilly walk. The staff are really helpful and pleasant, although we felt like they needed more staff to properly service how big the resort is. The main pools were really nice with a swim up bar, although the music really needs to be looked at. It was the same playlist each day but a lot of the songs weren't upbeat and didn't encourage everyone to get up and buy drinks etc...
The rooms were good size, kept clean and modern. In our room the towel rail in the bathroom was nearly coming out the wall, which every time we went to grab a towel felt like we were going to pull the whole thing out. I'm amazed there wasn't more bugs in our room because the gaps in the door frames allowed for a lot more air flow, which meant our room was slightly on the warmer side. My partner and I also thought our air con unit was pretty noisy, annoying when trying to sleep. The WiFi is pretty much nonexistent and you continuously have to log in , annoying when trying to arrange things with friends and not have mobile data on.
For the short times that we were in the resort we paid as we went with food and drink at the pool bar, we noticed that each time there was a service charge which we did add up if we got a few rounds in each day, we just really hope that this is split fairly between the staff.
For the price and location, this resort is pretty good and would recommend despite the little bits they could improve on, that's just being picky.

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this so-called five-star hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were rude, unwelcoming, and lacked basic hospitality. It was clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority, and their attitude made the entire experience unpleasant.
Breakfast was dull with very limited options, and to make matters worse, the chef refused to serve bacon due to his personal religious beliefs. In an international hotel, I expect a variety of food choices that cater to all guests, not just specific preferences.
Housekeeping was just as bad—an empty bottle was left in my bathroom for two days, even after requesting service. The pool was filthy and clearly not well-maintained, which was disappointing given the hotel’s modern decor. Despite its appearance, the hotel desperately needs proper maintenance, as wear and tear are visible throughout the property.
To make things worse, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I woke up every morning with back and neck pain, which lasted for the entire stay. Instead of a restful vacation, I left feeling worse than when I arrived.
The location is another major downside. It’s quite remote, making it difficult to get around. The hotel shuttle service stops at 6 PM, and without it, I had to pay 400 Baht just to get to Kamala Beach for dinner. Unfortunately, dining options outside the hotel are very limited, making it even more inconvenient. While Kamala Beach itself is okay, the surrounding area is dirty and has a strong smell of rubbish, which takes away from the experience.
For anyone visiting Phuket for the first time and hoping for a great experience, steer clear of this resort and this area! It’s simply not worth your money, and there are far better options available.

Location of the property is nice but there are few basic things missing.. First of all the hotel is not recommended for senior citizens and people with trouble in walking as they do not have lift and one has to climb staircases (20-50) depending on the floor. Second, food options are limited and not a kid friendly hotel. Last but not the least they do not serve cutlery and water bottles (more than 2 small bottles). The resort is in a remote location near the beach with no transport facilities after 7PM. The staff at reception is not well trained. The only best part of the stay is the View from the hotel. The rooms are descent with no wardrobes. booked this hotel at 11000 per night but this is more like 5k hotel.

As other reviews indicate this is an older resort that has undergone some refurbishment. As a result the communal areas (pool etc) are looking tired.
The large gym they feature in photos is now a store room and has been replaced by a space half the size with limited equipment.
The location is quite a distance from the town (30 min walk) taxis are readily available at 200B each way and the hotel offers a free shuttle however dont rely on this. You can only book this on the day with only 10 spaces per shuttle, and whilst the sign says you can only book 2 hours in advance, this is a lie and you are recommended to call reception at 7am to try and get a space.
Internal room refurbishments are nice and housekeeping staff were great, however our shower flooded the bathroom everytime when used.
Unfortunately there are many more resorts offering a higher standard on the island
