Guests have called out the hotel's immaculate grounds and praise the professional and attentive staff that contribute to a memorable stay. The hotel is impressive, it is a luxury hotel. All the service is friendly, smiling and makes you enjoy every moment in this little paradise in the world.
First of all I will highlight the entire team at the Pine restaurant, but among them, Anna, Prig, Top, Matty, Leo and the others.
Apart from being a beach restaurant where the food is wonderful, it has an incredible sunset. Highly recommended, the yellowfin tuna, tuna tartar tacos, burgers, pizzas, fish of the day and of course Thai food. And they have very good Phuket craft beer.
To get to the hotel an airport taxi charges 1300 baht, with the Grab application it does not reach 800. It takes about 40-35 minutes.
Phuket is 700 baht by taxi.
The hotel is close to Kamala where there are pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants.
Regarding the room, it has been impressive. I had doubts about the room with access to the pool due to possible noise or indiscretions, but it is a completely calm pool, not very frequented and the calm is total, it is a luxury to get out of bed and access the pool from the room. There are several more pools and the one that is really buzzing is the one on the beach. I recommend paying the difference and getting a room with access to the pool, it is a success and a luxury.
It's cleaning service is friendly and fantastic, Durant 5 nights everything perfect.
The hotel has complimentary mosquito repellent, multiple pool and shower towels, pajamas, slippers for the room, complimentary water with several bottles, umbrellas, etc...
The bed is very good, the rest is great.
Regarding the restaurants, Jaras is impressive, Thai food of an exquisite level. El Pinto has a calm atmosphere but very good quality, and I couldn't try the Japanese and others.
For people with mobility problems, there is a 24-hour buggy service which is incredible, since this hotel has part in front of the beach and part on the other side towards the mountain connected by the hotel's own tunnel passageway.
I have been to more than 600 hotels in my life, and this is one of the very few that has left its mark on me.
Incredible hotel, 100% recommended.
I will return one day if life allows me.
Thank you Intercontinental Phuket!

A few days ago, I stayed with my family for 3 nights in a two bedroom pool villa.
First of all, disappointing thing is that there are only bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, and there is no common space such as a living room, so there was no place for the family to be together. Around the pool on the 1st floor, there were wide sofas, table, and sunbeds as well as a nice garden, but there were a lot of mosquitoes and insects, so even for a short while, my family were bitten here and there.
Other than that everything was wonderful. Breakfast wasn't a lot of variety, but each one was delicious, the view from the beach was nice, and even though the public pools also were nice, but the private pool was large enough that we didn't have to go to the public pool that much. Jaras restaurant was a bit pricey, but most of the food was excellent, living up to its reputation.
And above all, each and every one of the staff was kind, so I was able to have a good time anywhere. Sophia, who was our butler, was very attentive to our convenience from time to time. Especially since it was a night flight, we had to spend time at the hotel late after check-out, but she welcomed us and took care of us until the moment we left the last door. Every time I go to the pinto restaurant for breakfast or lounge, the staff, for instance Jah, Napha, Opor, always come first to ask if I need anything, and when I ask for help, they sincerely helped. Thanks to them, I was able to finish the trip happily. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude. We hope to see you again next time. Thank you.

My wife and I decided to have a fantastic holiday in Phuket, so we immediately understood that it would not be cheap.
We reviewed various options, each of them had pros and cons: in some places it was a long walk to the sea, in others there were no villas with pools, in others it was noisy, in others it was insanely expensive.
Any option that was suitable for the money was not suitable for the location or quality of accommodation.
After much searching we settled on the Intercontinental Phuket Resort.
Pros of this hotel:
1. Location.
It is located a little away from the central beach, all this bustle, smells, etc., at the end of a picturesque bay, the shore of which can be admired for hours.
The beach with the most delicate white sand, which resembles flour, is just as white and soft.
In the morning, the entire beach is in the shade of tall deciduous trees, which is a huge plus for people with white skin, which my wife and I are the owners of.
In addition, the Cafe del Mar club is nearby. Connoisseurs of modern music don’t need to say anything more))

2. Hotel quality.
The hotel is quite new, has very interesting architecture, emphasizing the culture and history of Thailand.
We took a villa with a shared pool for three buildings.
Near the villa there is a veranda with a huge sofa, a jacuzzi and fountains.
We spent the entire afternoon on this veranda, because being on it was like being in a fairy tale: around there were huge trees, palm trees, shrubs and... the purest turquoise water in the pool. Moreover, even though the pool was shared by three villas, we hardly saw our neighbors and felt absolutely comfortable.

3. Friendly staff.
The staff is so friendly and polite that my wife and I felt embarrassed. Russian people are not used to such treatment)).
And although none of the staff speaks Russian, we were saved by the English-speaking butler Sofia, who was assigned to us and who solved all our questions 24/7; for this I used the chat, since my English is far from ideal.
I want to tell you how “unlucky” we were due to the renovation of the next room.
After a couple of days of rest, renovations began in the next room.
I complained about this fact to Sofia. She solved our problem within an hour: for 4 days of inconvenience we were reimbursed 20,000 Baht and after these 4 days we were moved to a superior villa! With a private pool and a completely private area! We couldn’t even dream about this, because when choosing accommodation, the price for this villa was not at all reasonable.
As a result, we got another week of unforgettable vacation in a luxurious villa.
4. Food

It is organized in a network of restaurants on site, one of which has 3 Michelin stars. Above all praise.

Minuses:
1. Price (well, there’s nothing you can do about it, you have to pay for quality).
2. Lack of Russian-speaking staff.
3. Quite a meager offer of fruit in restaurants; for breakfast there was only papaya, watermelon, and dragonfruit.
Given the abundance of fruit in Thailand, it was not clear why there was not an equal abundance of it in the hotel.

Conclusion.
An unforgettable fantastic vacation for wealthy people!

Sincerely,
Kolesnikov Andrey

I had high hopes for this resort, but the condition of the beach was a major disappointment. Despite the beautiful setting, the beach was noticeably dirty and clearly lacked regular maintenance. If I were managing the resort, I would ensure a dedicated team cleaned the beach every morning to enhance the guest experience.

The situation was further compounded by the loud music blasting from Café del Mar next door, which made it nearly impossible to relax by the water. The beachside pool, overrun with kids, didn’t offer much respite, and the adult-only pool was tucked away on the 4th floor with little ambiance and no staff presence.

The staff were hospitable and recognized my ambassador status during check-in, but the experience was marred by uncomfortable, low chairs that made me feel out of place.

The gym is another area that could use significant improvement. It’s small, outdated, and doesn’t reflect the standards of a resort of this caliber. I’ve seen much better gyms in other hotels, like the Intercontinental Bangkok. To add to the disappointment, some guests were wearing slippers and improper gym attire, yet the staff didn’t enforce any dress code.

Our room was comfortable and reminded me of the Indigo Hotel in Bali. However, our sleep was disrupted on multiple occasions. On the second night, neighboring guests returned from a party and continued their festivities in the room, keeping us awake with loud noise. Then, on Sunday morning at 8:30, the cleaning staff started preparing nearby rooms for new guests, waking us up early with loud noises. Although the reception staff was informed, and I appreciate the gesture of a fruit basket and bottle of wine from Khun Bo, it didn’t fully make up for the disturbances.

Overall, while the staff were friendly and tried to make our stay enjoyable, the resort falls short of its price point. Several areas, from the gym to the beach facilities, need significant improvements to meet the expectations set by its branding and cost.

Dear glacier_traveller, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at InterContinental Phuket Resort. We deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially given the high hopes you had for your visit. Your comments are invaluable to us as they help us understand where we need to improve. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the beach during your stay. Maintaining a pristine environment is a priority, and it’s clear that we fell short in this area. Your suggestion of a dedicated beach-cleaning team is well noted, and we will ensure that this is addressed to enhance the experience for future guests. We are also sorry to hear that the ambiance at the adult-only pool and the noise from Café del Mar affected your ability to relax. We will review these aspects to find ways to improve the tranquility and overall atmosphere of our resort. Additionally, we will work on enhancing the gym facilities and enforcing appropriate dress codes to ensure all guests can enjoy their workout in a comfortable and well-maintained environment. It’s disheartening to learn that your sleep was disturbed by noise from other guests and early morning housekeeping activities. We apologize for these disruptions and will remind our team to be mindful of guest comfort during all hours. While we are glad that you found the staff friendly and appreciated the recognition of your Ambassador status, we understand that these positive interactions could not fully compensate for the shortcomings you experienced. We are committed to making the necessary improvements to ensure that our resort lives up to the high standards we aim to provide. Thank you again for your candid feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a stay that truly reflects the luxurious and serene experience that InterContinental Phuket Resort strives to deliver. Warm regards, Management Team InterContinental Phuket Resort

This is not our first time in Phuket, and now we are on tour. Intercontinental is the third hotel, at the beginning we stayed in bang Tao, then in JW Marriott, there is nothing to compare with! We live in room 4107 with access to the pool, the excellent interior is modern, new, like the whole hotel as a whole, but the sockets in the room are not working, and you have to be a bit of an electrician to turn on the iron and catch the current. At breakfast there is a meager selection of dishes, you can’t say that you are in the best hotel in Phuket, a very strange story with fruits (2/3 choice and no mangoes!) It is also not clear the story that you need to ask the waiter for salmon, it is not freely available! In a 5* hotel, is this really international?! Or we've got the wrong door! We took breakfast/dinner, at dinner at the PINO restaurant - the waiters were extremely unfriendly and rude, and could not calmly explain the concept of our food. In the Jaras restaurant, which has 3 Michelin awards, there is no pork for two days in a row and I do not suggest replacing it with other meat, the answer is simple: no pork! Sorry, I want to eat meat!!! There is also a problem with watermelon, it is impossible to make a plate of watermelon, there is none! The service in this restaurant is good, very nice girls, thank you, they made our evening. In general, restaurants are the weak story of this hotel, as is the service! The beach is a completely separate issue, everything is bad, in a nutshell! The sun loungers are placed so close to each other that it is impossible to just relax and enjoy your stay on the beach, God forbid you move the sun lounger a little , so that the sun doesn’t fall on your head, the employee immediately says you can’t do that, the rule is not to move the sunbed beyond the trees, now we are not talking about pulling the sunbed into the middle of the beach and lying there, just move it half a meter so that there is shadow. On both sides of the hotel there are two stinking sewers in the sea that flow directly into the sea, and boat and hoverboard rentals are also based here. It’s very windy, I think this is a feature of this bay, there are a lot of people on the beach, sellers of all sorts of nonsense and people from other hotels lie just a couple of meters from your sunbed! There can be no talk of any relaxation or relaxation on the beach. It seems to me that more than 50% or even all 90% of the guests are Russian-speaking guests, but there is not a single employee who speaks Russian, this is certainly not a problem, but still there is a question - why not! Also, not once after check-in were we asked how our vacation was going and if we were all happy. I would not recommend this hotel as the best in Phuket.

This is a late review :) I am writing this while preparing for another trip to Phuket.
I stayed for a week in 2022, when Corona is not over yet.
The hotel hardware was really good, but the software
This is a place I have no intention of revisiting because I am disappointed.
The cleanliness at that time left much to be desired.
Give me the room slippers that someone else used
They provided slippers and the hotel said they would reuse slippers in all rooms. I was disappointed by the overbearing attitude and no-problem attitude, so I personally think it's one of the overrated hotels.

The kids cafe is not only pretty, but of all the kids cafes I've been to at resorts, you can just do your own thing (paperwork) and relax (there are traveler reviews with the same opinion as me).

There are many good hotels in Phuket.
I recommend it if you want to take pretty pictures and feel a good atmosphere. It is not recommended for older children to stay there. It is a bit boring and there is a club next door haha.

Still, I am grateful to the reception and restaurant staff for being so kind and warm.

Checked into a Pool Access Lagoon Villa (paid for room type) which smelt of vomit. Invited the “Butler” to visit the room for themselves. They agreed. 4 hours later, I was eventually checked into a similar but different room of the same room category. Limited apologies or gestures offered…………. A true butler would ensure the guest is comfortable and happy and follow up with the guest …….. this unfortunately did not occur.

Housekeeping and maintenance standards are very poor in this property currently - yet the room rates have more than doubled in the past 2 years. Public Areas as well as the room itself are no where near luxury standards.

Service standards have also significantly dropped. Previously, I was a raving fan of this once stunning resort - however it is now of a poor quality in both hard product and soft product, - as well as absolute basics such as cleanliness and maintenance standards. Club Lounge service menu options are also very poor, of limited variety and also very slow to be replenished in both food and beverage.

It is so sad to see once a world class resort deteriorate so quickly.

We, a family of 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby, stayed for 6D5N in One bedroom pool villa.

Resort has beautiful architecture, hardwares are new and modern. Hillside and beach side is connected with underground tunnel that comes with beautiful murals. There are buggy to send guests everywhere within resort shall they need and they usually arrive in less than 5 minutes. We noticed a lot of stairs in the resort, unsure how it works with stroller or wheelchair.

Our 1-bedroom villa is beautiful and huge. The pool is of generous size and have ample sunlight. Outdoor came with outdoor shower, two lounge beds and a sala area with sofa and fan. Inside the bedroom, there was sofa, huge walk in closet and beautiful shower area. They provide free 15 minutes massage on arrival. Club lounge access provided afternoon tea and evening cocktail with free kids meals which were very generous.

Food wise, they have few restaurants, we tried Jaras, Pinto, Pine beach club and in room dining. Unfortunately I must say the food wasn’t a highlight of the resort. It was nice but not outstanding.

What makes a stay outstanding is usually the service. This is the reason that I gave a 4 stars.
Make, our butler, is amazing. He is attentive, even in his off days and off work hours, he sent us messages to check in if we need any help. Always friendly. Other than Make, other services were hit and miss. Some of staffs seem not to be well trained, mostly are functional ie cold and follow protocol. Housekeeping was definitely a miss. Often dirty plates were left in room and a lady was very unhappy when we returned to room and she was about to start cleaning. We asked if she could come back 10 minutes later as our kids required diaper change. She reminded us 3-4x “10 mins only”.

Intercontinental Phuket had amazing hardware and service definitely needed an enhancement for a hotel at this category.

One of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at! The architecture is stunning, the service outstanding, the food delicious and the beach beautiful. I originally booked a premium club lounge access room, since we were celebrating my wife’s and son’s birthdays they called a day before our check in to let us know they wanted to upgrade us to a club lounge Laguna pool access villa. The new room was beautiful but unfortunately the first night we found a small ant problem, they did everything they could to solve it the same night and the next morning they upgraded us to a private one bedroom villa which was simply the best place I’ve ever stayed at! Our butler, Sophia, gave an outstanding service and helped out with everything we needed. Every single aspect of this resort is incredible and worth every penny! The breakfast delicious, the spa was amazing, the beach restaurant with Matty and his team, simply everything was just perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in April 2024. Thankfully, we were upgraded and situated on the beach side of the hotel. While the main lobby side is serene, it's a bit too quiet and requires a bit of a walk from the beach. However, the underpass provides a quick route to both sides of the hotel and the beach, and the buggy service is quite regular. The staff is kind and helpful. Joke at Pine beach bar was always smiling, happily taking photos for us (which, by the way, turned out amazing!) and was generally pleasant to deal with. Lance or Lass (not sure of the name) was also incredibly kind and an amazing photographer too! Lilly from the kids club was a superstar; we booked her to babysit our little one and would highly recommend her! She was flexible, caring, and went above and beyond!
Breakfast offered a good variety of options and drinks. However, we found the hotel's food and drink prices to be generally a bit high. The quality was good overall. Service at Pine could be slow during the evenings when it got busy. On one occasion, I ordered a daiquiri & it came without any shaved ice (at that moment, I only drank the 1/4 cup of alcohol thinking maybe that was their take on the frozen drink haha) and it wasn't until a few days later that I saw someone else enjoying their daiquiri properly. We ate at Jaras which was ok. Not amazing but decently priced. Service was a bit slow & they close early (last order was 930pm).
Beach beds were hard to come by as people reserved them early in the morning. However, if you notified the staff, they would keep an eye out and inform you when one became available.
Hotel itself is gorgeous with the most amazing architecture and landscaping. Despite also being a public beach it was well kept, open and amazing water with soft sand.
