We have stayed numerous time in this hotel in the past 2 years with steadily decreasing appreciation. The place starts to look worn down, whereas the bathrooms look clean the carpets are dusty, the towels thin and worn out. The restaurant is still OK, not great food but quite acceptable. The owner is rather rude to his foreign guests and...

This was a great find. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good, the portions were not huge but personally I like that as it allows you to finish the meal without being over full with too many lettuce leaves and chips. The owners were both present for the service and were helpful and polite.

Rooms comfortable, the better are on the garden. The others in the main building are a little old fashion, but anyway all of them are quiet in the night. The restaurant has very good food, unfortunatly it closes rather early in the evening ( max 9 p.m.). Breakfast is o.k., but you don't find any cooked. Staff are really ok,...

We stayed at the hotel for one night on the way to visit friends. The hotel is in a pleasant town with a large park and stream. From the moment we arrived the owners were so friendly and accommodating. The room although small was very clean and ideal for a nights stop. What we didn't expect when we booked into...

Lovely hotel in nice little village with great market saturday morning and lots to do nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly, epecially Stella. Restaurant had great ambience, great menu selection and food was superb. Awesome salade perigourdine (don't go for the large one, the small is huge).

I phoned ahead and got a nice large room in historic annexe building where their restaurant is. Their car park was full so he had to park on main square which we try to avoid when travelling with fully loaded car. We arrived at 7.45pm so went to dinner almost immediately. Restaurant looked great, we had a lovely table. Menu...

Split into to separate parts, Le Saint Georges straddles Grand Rue. There is ample parking and the hotel is easy to find. The staff are really friendly and helpful, wished we could have stayed for dinner, the restaurant was still busy at three in the afternoon so must be good. The rooms are functional and clean but our room overlooked...

A very convenient stopover but that is about all. Room ok and quite acceptable. However the dinner was really below par. Bland was the word which is so unusual for France. Best part was meeting an Irish couple on the next table and spending a most convivial time drinking (to much) with them. A great crack! They felt just the...

Driving back from Spain, I wanted to stay in Vivonne which is a small town just off the A10 between Poitiers and Angoulême. My main reason is that there is a Super U Hypermarket on the edge of the dual carriageway selling the cheapest petrol I have found (up to 20 cents cheaper than the motorway! and the N10 is...
