So disappointed. Had sailed the whole day in sun, good wind, no wind, dence fog. When finally reached the harbour and got settled wanted to have dinner. No chance. Have you a reservation. No, just very hungry. We were 9 person's, in 3 boats. Yes, you can come back at 8.30 😱 .We were exhausted, hungry. There was a lot of spaces but the problem was in the kitchen, not enough capacity. Are not recommending this place. No customer service what so ever. Maybe the owners have concentrated totally on the spa services and forgotten about the rest. Shame on you!

Hotel manager is very unfriendly and rude. He does not understand how to wellcome guests to this place. Even he is not able to speak or help his guests. We asked many questions from him as well as help, but because his very rude we didn’t get any answers or help from him. Restaurant is very expensive altought food is not special. Also the hotel rooms are cramped with small booths, but still expensive. You can swim either in the ocean or in the swimming pool with dirty water. We will never return to this place again, and we will not recommend it to others. Don't ruin your vacation here. There are even better places!

We visited HavsVidden for a company conference in May 2022. We took over a large part of the complex and it is an amazing place. Beautiful sunsets and spectacular scenery, especially the red granite roads set against the green forest and the blue sky. The villas were great, with lots of space, terraces and saunas / hot tubs. A few of the villas even had infinity pools on the terrace! Staff were super helpful and polite with constant effort to make us feel welcome. All in all this is an inspiring and beautiful place. It is calm and natural and the environment gives off a vibe that is almost spiritual. We talk about wanting to make the world a better experience, but in this case it was the world making a better experience for us. Location is perfect. Sea is amazing and sauna definitely worth visiting! We kindly asked vegan options for breakfast beforehand but all we got was a bottle of oatmilk. Dinner was also a disappointment. We were expecting something else than hamburgers.

After a slightly tangled start, the place turned out to be a real gem. The rock villa had stunning views and was both necessary and less necessary for comfort. The services in the area were first class and we had a great time.

Before our trip I read other customers’ reviews about very small rooms with terrible parking area views. We choose a standard room without the sea view because this time we didn’t want to pay for the sea view or a more spacious room. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. We had good sleep and enjoyed the sea views outside and at the hotel’s restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice but if you prefer rooms with sea views, terrace or space, we recommend to choose other room types. The room building has been nicely renovated. Our room didn’t include air conditioning, but its temperature was pleasant even outside temperature was +26 - +28. The room also didn’t include a minibar, but there was a shared refrigerator in the corridor. The hotel’s pool house and its surroundings were nice. There was also a pool bar and massage available. The biggest weakness of this hotel was that access to the sea was through the pool house and the house’s doors were closed until 10am. We called the hotel reception if we could get a code for the doors but received none. So it was not possible to swim in the morning. Breakfast was good, including for example warm bread, variety of fresh fruits and local apple juice. The breakfast area was quite crowded in the first morning when we ate breakfast after 9am. In the second morning, we went to breakfast an hour earlier and it was more pleasant visit. We also ate at the hotel’s restaurant once and food was very tasty. Please note that the nearest grocery store is 12 km away, but the hotel’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, terrace food and dinner and also pizza at the pool bar. The hotel’s staff were friendly and willing to serve. It took about 40 minutes from Maarianhamina by car and all the attractions and activities are also quite near if you have a car. The location and the whole HavsVidden resort are unique in Finland. We recommend this hotel for other travellers!…

I ate at Havsvidden with my friends on 14th July. The food was below average, portions very small and the service terrible. The views are nice, but I would not go back. We hit Stallhagen for more food as we were hungry after leaving the restaurant.

Reading the reviews from last year, we were just a bit reluctant about our planned four-night stay. So it all came as a really nice surprise - we loved everything! The Comfort room met well with the description. While the exceptional heat wave continued, the fresh sea air from the window (which we kept open throughout our stay) and a fan in the room kept it very comfortable, and we slept really well. The house ”Wind” where our room was located was nice and quiet even when fully booked. There was a lovely little terrace with a sea view for communal use. The restaurant really performed, both for breakfasts and dinners which we had for every evening (four) of our stay. Food was overall delicious (local cod and perch were superb!), wine pairings well thought, and the staff were both professional and friendly. Since it was so warm, even in the evenings, we had a rare luxury of eating on the terrace every day, enjoying the beautiful view to the woods and the sea. Even while the place was fully booked through our stay, everything worked calmly and smoothly. My husband enjoyed a dip in the sea every day, and we greatly enjoyed the lovely pool house and its decks, situated right on the seafront, facing a pretty guest harbor. And of course, the general location of the whole resort it simply breathtaking. Granted, we wondered why some of the houses where built so that many of the rooms only faced the parking area, not the sea or other beautiful nature surrounding it all. But at least the Comfort room with a partial seaview was just fine. And of course, the individual villas all seemed to have all the views one can wish for. In any case, there are plenty of lovely spaces, both inside and out, where you can relax if your room feels small or plain. Thank you Havsvidden for offering us great hospitality and such a beautiful base from which we could explore the lovely Åland!…

Very fancy villa in a beautiful surroundings. No services nearby, prepare to be pretty selfsufficient. Clean and functional villa, lots of room for a family of four. Felt quite isolated so prepare yourself. Great hideaway though. Peaceful and beautiful place. Nearest shop/restaurant (if the hotel restaurant is shut) within 15 km. Try restaurant, Pub Stallhagen, they excellent serve food and also takeaway.

This place is totally overrated. The lamb in the restaurant was dry and potatoes were overcooked. The place was totally empty, nevertheless the young waiters forgot us several times and didn't ask for our wine order. I had already finished my meal and had to call for the waiter to take my order. I complained and asked for complimentary deserts. She agreed but however at the end charged us for the deserts. We really had to convince her to rewrite the bills. According to her she was the only waiter and it was so busy, which was definitely not the case. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not cozy and you feel like sitting in a conference hall. Waste of money, not recommended!
