Wazza may seem grumpy at first, but he is the life and soul of the party! So many stories and so much laughter! My partner and I stayed at PBC for a week - we got along with three other people who had the same love as we did for this little jungle jem! It's so organic and resourceful! If... More

This place is a haven, nestled in between the beautiful forest and river. For camping and hiking it is the prime location! If you're after something clean, organized and civilized or if you're a bit of a glamper (glamorous camper) then this is not the place for you. There are cold water showers which are open air and amongst the... More

We were going to stay only for a night with our tent...we ended up spending 2 weeks there. We absolutely loved it, the landscape was amazing, set up in a rain forest, aside a beautiful river where you can swim. At first Wazza can seam like a grumpy man but you have to spend more than a night to know... More

Very beautiful place, too bad the owner of the camping is just a grumpy old man that doesn't give a crap about as long as you give him his money. We were lucky to see a few platypuses in the viewing pool around 7 pm.

We had a wonderful two nights in the "honeymoon hut" at platypus bushcamp. A very rustic place but full of charm and what can beat cooking and sleeping in the open air listening to the sounds of the forest around you and seeing a platypus just below you at dawn! Great hospitality from Wazza and Woofers. A must for outdoor... More

I spent a few days here in this peaceful corner of the world and decided to extend. The place is paradise and the rooms awesome when you want to wake up to playful platypus in the morning a wicked outdoor kitchen surrounded by nature. Perfect getaway for a weekend into the wilderness of finch hatton

It's a strange place. The nature is beautiful however the showers over two nights were not hot, toilets don't flush and the 'camping area' is uneven with tree stumps everywhere and you can't park by your tent to pack. For $20 per night I expect this. I recommend either staying at a caravan park or do true bush camping for... More

2 km short of Finch Hatton Gorge (Eungella National Park) we found the Platypus Bush Camp. Some fellow campers had already set up camp in the camp ground which offers limited sites for camper trailers but lots of space for walk-in tent camping and campervans, a communal fire place and a kitchen shelter. Wazza asked a very friendly Canadian couple... More

This place is a real time Bush camping/sleeping experience. The are no frills, no luxuries and no electricity but that adds to the experience. The owner Wazza, ensures your stay is a good one and the surroundings are stunning. We would suggest that 1 night is enough and opt for the double cabins by the river...
