Great place to stop over when travelling to the northern cape and border region. Food was excellent. Accommodation was perfect. Town and area was very quite and people friendly. Loved to walk around the town and meet new people.

We spent four nights at this Lodge and can honestly say that it was a great time. The hostess, staff and everyone in the lodge were friendly , helpful and kind. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the food was far too good for anyone trying to lose weight! A delightful place to stay over if you...

Truly horrible experience and overpriced for such an old place. Rooms inside are nothing special. Have been waiting for hot water more then 15 minutes in the morning. Owners dogs were barking since 6 am. You can't have proper dinner there either breakfast. Too noisy place. Btw: they charge for breakfast and it opens from 8 till 9 am. They...

This lodge is used to accommodate tour members on all nights doing one of the 4,5 or 6 night Namaqua Flower Tours. While this might seem odd comparing to other flower tours who typically sleep in several towns during their tours there is a very good reason for this: All the tours start and end in Cape Town and Vanrhynsdorp...

This is a good overnight stop on the N-7 Cape Namibia route. A special mention must be made of the friendly receptionist who went out of her way to check our progress en-route and kept the kitchen open even though we were a bit late. This is a family run business and it shows in the service level. Rooms are...

Don't be afraid when you see the outside of the lodge (which isn't bad - just not expected), the inside of the establishment is lovely. Rooms are clean and sufficient for an overnight break. Hotel also has dining room, secure parking, bar, slot machines and something for everyone. Very friendly and welcoming staff and management.

Met friends here on our way up the coast. The furnishings and decor are worn and dated but friendly staff and comfortable bed. The secure parking was appreciated. Dinner and breakfast traditional and OK.

We arrived very late in the evening and the staff were very accommodating. We had a very pleasant stay and the establishment were so kind as to provide us with take-away sandwiches for our road trip. We will definitely visit again in future

My wife and I went had a superb 5 day flower tour with Namakwa Toere. This lodge is part of the family business and it is where the tour group stays for the duration of the tour. Prior to arrival, we were warned that Vanrynsdorp was one of the oldest towns in the country and not to expect the typical...

Early in July 2015, I was in an unfortunate situation where I had to stay over in Vanrhynsdorp. I looked on TripAdvisor for places and the Namaqua Country Lodge caught my eye. I decided to go and check the place out before I make a final decision. The view from the front looked slightly impressive. When I walked in, the...
