Me and my boyfriend camped on this campsite for two nights. We did the "Route des grandes alpes". The campsite was super cheap, clean and we had a lot of space for our own even if it was July. The staff is very friendly. The only problem that there are not enough water closets, so sometimes you have to wait...

While reading the comments from other readers and considering the price I had to pay, I expected a kind of luxury tent. In fact, it was an ordinary tent with no bed but a simple mattress. The charged price has been slightly reduced (from 69 EUR to 59 EUR) after I showed that I was really disappointed by the level...

In this awesome place, you discover a nice little wood house. Cosy and complete, this is a impressive place to wake up in the morning in the valley with the mountain just front of you. L'accueil est très bon et l'équipement du chalet très complet. Un lieu bien sympa pour la randonnée et les nombreuses activités aux alentours.

We camped in August for 2 weeks. This campsite is massive with a variety of pitch types - some shady and many in the sun: all preferences catered for. There are two toilet blocks - both of which are communal which I didn't like to be honest, but you get used to it! There are French toilets and English ones....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camping Val d'Ambin is located in a quiet and spacious spot, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Located in the municipality of Bramans Val d'Ambin, rising to over 1200 meters above sea level, there are two towns: Bramans on the ancient Roman road that Hannibal and his 37 elephants would have taken many years ago and the village of Le Verney on the more modern mountain pass road of Mont Cenis and Iseran. Our campsite was first created more than fifty years ago, at which time it only had a few camping pitches and a single cold shower! Since then the site has evolved and has quadrupled its size while keeping its authenticity and mountain character. Today the campsite covers over 5 acres, and is equipped with every necessary comfort : ... more   less
