I have stayed here twice in last 2 years. Everytime my stay has been wonderful. The rooms are spacious and extremely well maintained. The bathrooms large and fitted with modern toiletries. The hotel staff are super friendly. The restaurant cooks some amazing foods. I just love staying here every time. The only downside is the price, which is not extravagant but on the higher side.
You will love the solitude of the hills here. A bit costly but will surely love the homely yet professional behaviour. A perfect place to visit with a group. Food is awesome though we didn't try the indian cuisine. I stayed for 1 night enroute darjeeling.
When you first step into Lamahatta Residency, a bearded Binay Chhetri will greet you (no relation to Sunil Chhetri, India’s Football captain) ! He is affable and does not mince words. So book early and get a confirmation directly from the hotel, not only from your Travel Agent. Lamahatta Residency is a spacious hotel with approx 7-8 rooms that are 220 Sq ft plus. Recently done up so beds, bathrooms and decor is much above average from others in area. You will like the scenic views from hotel balconies, the walkable Lamahatta Nature Park (don’t forget doing the 750m pleasant hike to the top). The large Hall near reception doubles up as a TV hall, Games room, Card table, Gossip Den as well as lunch n dinner table. Best place to laze when u have a large group! We were 18 and loved sitting there. If you want to gaze at length at the early sunrises, work on your laptop by the lounge window that overlooks the valley, talk to the clouds that rest on your balcony in evenings, this is the place to be. Only downside is the food. Food is average but served up with great enthusiasm and hence tolerable. Make sure to carry a large supply of mineral water and your medicines as these two things are not available nearby. The other downer is that it doesn’t have any play facility for kids. …
I had bad experience at Lamahatta Druk Homestay so Immediately went to Lamahatta Residency. Extreme Good Experience . The Hotel staff so polite and worth to stay . Food is also good and affordable . Ideal place to stay at Lamahatta
I stayed one night with my family in April 2019. We booked 3 super deluxe rooms. Rooms were very clean and tidy with enough open space. We could see snow clad mountain range from the rooms. Hotel is located very near (less than 300 meter) to Lamahatta park. Hotel staffs are very courteous and polite. Specially the manager Mr. Vinay Chhetri is very young, dynamic and helpful person. I have reduced one star just because we did not enjoy their food that much. I am not saying food is bad there, but we ordered Bengali food at lunch and it was not very tasty. Then We ordered Chinese food at dinner and that was good. If you go there, I would suggest you to stick to local or Chinese food there.
