This was a return visit after two years, this time with my son. Easy to find and plenty of roadside parking. Again, the warmest of welcomes, good craic at the bar; charming young man waiting on; lovely, comfy room with good shower ... and nice food and beer (good selection of local ales and craft lagers!) And those two lovely,...

We chose the bankfoot inn as a stopover as we headed back to Yorkshire after a fantastic week in the highlands. Our one night stay rounded off our trip perfectly. Great location, warm welcome, comfortable room and delicious food. Ticks every box and can't wait to a call here again. Thank you.

We stayed here for one night and it was even better than expected. This inn is owned and run by a very nice couple. We checked in at the bar and were taken up to our room. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had quite the night down in the pub where we got to chat and drink with...

We visited the Bankfoot Inn on Wednesday 6th October 2016 at 7.30pm after reading some great reviews on Trip Advisor, The owner Susan and her husband made us feel very welcome, then we were exposed to some of the best Scottish food I have ever eaten, and I am Scottish. To start with I had haggis fritters with a whisky...

Quite satisfactory, the only thing we would have preferred would be proper coffee instead of instant. The room was clean and the bathroom had a good shower. The food was of good quality and served in good time. Thank you

We only had one overnight stay at this lovely old coachjng inn on our way to the Highlands. Very cosy and welcoming to us and our labrador dog. We had a great evening meal and traditional breakfast. Would definitely use it again next time in Scotland.

No pretensions here. Warm, welcoming, clean. Everything you'd want from a genuine old inn. Loved the home-cooked meals. We were lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday for the folk night - not to be missed. Highly recommend this inn.

This was a unexpected gem. Very cosy, the food was fantastic. The owners were good craic & our room was better than you'd get in a hotel & I've stayed in plenty! A well run inn can be so much better than any hotel & this is one of them.
