The room descriptions are incorrect at Hotels.com. We did not get both A/C and a fridge, which were supposed to be in every room, and no kitchenette either. And we had to argue about getting breakfast included. But I would not hesitate to stay there again. The service was attentive, rooms clean and comfortable and the grounds just amazing. Take the trails and bring your camera. Plenty of birds, flowers and gigantic bamboo among other things. A great stopover point near San Isidro. A nice pool too.

I stayed here for one night with two of my friends after climbing Mt Chirripo nearby. The hotel owner stayed up until 0230 to receive us and was nothing but professional, accomodating and courteous. The breakfast at the restaurant Hacienda was very good. Moreover, the grounds are very well maintained and the pool is pristine... the perfect place to lay our feet up after the hike. For a relaxing stay in a family friendly environment, this is the perfect spot.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and really had a good time. We went hiking on the nearby Chirripo mtn, also we visit the jardin secreto, very nice, we now know there are other places to visit in this area, so that is for next time, we had an exciting time with 4x4 drive. Anyway, returning to the Rancho, a swim in the pool was fantastic and the food was very good.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and really had a good time. We went hiking on the nearby Chirripo mtn, amazing to see that the school buss drives that road every day. we had an exciting time with our 4x4 drive. Anyway, returning to the Rancho, a swim in the pool was fantastic and the food was very good. The owner told us about the archeological history and the mini museum added interesting value to this visit. Rooms were big and ok.
