This place is as remote and lonely as it comes. You'll find yourself at least 40km away from the nearest convenience store, and the mobile network coverage is limited. This resort is a place where one can truly escape the hustle and bustle of life. There is nothing to do except to walk on the beach, swim in the ocean, watch the gulls, settle down for sunset, watch the moon rise over the ocean, do some stargazing - and, if you are lucky - witness the wonder of bio-luminescent waves. It is likely that you won't even see other people during your stay, only the friendly men that work at the resort. The kitchen serves up good, but simple breakfasts and dinners. I loved this place. It was a restorative experience.
Excellent place. Far from city life. It's near to 35 km. away from nearest city Al Askara, more than 100 km from Al Kamil and Sur. Very quiet and pollution free. Sea water and beach both are very clean. Weather is excellent. Normally at August weather of Muscat is more hot. At night there is a feeling of little chilling breeze too at beach. Lot of colourful crabs and shells are there. As waves are little strong, keep an eye on kids while they close to water. Rooms are specious and maintained well. Staff are very cordial and tried their level best to assist you. Many thanks to Mr.Saood and his team for their constant effort. I reached at night 10:45 pm and almost lost. So please keep your gps handy. I used 'HERE WeGo', but hope all are equally good. Solar lights need little maintenance. Overall it's a very nice place.…
Located on the Al-Ashkara sea side this resort is truly a gem. If you want to spent some quiet time this place is ideal. Far away from hustle bustle of city Saqla resort will give you real holiday feel. Entire beach is almost yours. You walk, you play, you enjoy sunrise, sunset or just sit and listen to the rhythm of sea..everything you can do in private. So many crabs just playing in the beach, seagles get some private time here. Rooms are spacious, clean. Bed and linen are neatly arranged. Dinner is basic. The resort can improve the menu of dinner. You will better enjoy if you plan for barbecue party.
What a lovely surprise of a comfortable small hotel on this remote coastal road in Oman...We have seen this resort being built over the last two years and for this trip, we found it open. Constructed in stone, the resort has 10 apartments perched on a promontory on the Arabian sea.The rooms are large and comfortable, traditionally built in stone, sympathetic for this area, the views and shoreline surrounding the resort are magnificent. Bear in mind this is truly remote Oman, you are traveling in this region to experience a completely different way of life and immersing into the geology and landscapes of this truly unique country. Do not expect anything social outside of the hotel, but, there is a wonderful Morrocan chef, Nauman, whose interpretation of fresh seafood makes it worth stopping over in this lovely and unique place. You cannot expect too much in remote areas of Oman, logistics make it hard to supply, but rest assured, you are on a beach, go for fish, it's caught daily. My thanks to the lovely and gracious Omani owner for helping us out big time with a little problem we encountered, we will so definitely return to this little gem of a hotel in such a remote place, my thanks to all of you for a lovely stay...and it really was one night of sheer enjoyment in such a unique and lovely place...…
