Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I spent a lovely night away in this fantastic warm welcoming house....George the host is an absolute gentlemen and cooks up the best breakfast you will ever taste..all the staff are really friendly and couldnt be more helpful and nice....
The house is so full of character...the bed was soo comfy....ensure you get the wellies on and take a walk around the forest where you might get a few nice surprises..We will be returning for sure...great place to spend a relaxing time away from the hum drum of everyday life...

My husband and I had the joy of staying at Mearsecourt. If you are seeking to reconnect with nature, enjoy the solace of being away from it all, this magical place is quite the special place. It may not be for everyone as it does not have hotel-type amenities if that’s what you are seeking but we thoroughly enjoyed our time - it was most comfortable and relaxing. Shopping and restaurants are about a 20 minute drive. The host is very welcoming and by the time you leave you will feel like you are saying goodbye to a dear friend.

A stunningly beautiful house, in lovely grounds. We stayed in an enormous bedroom, in a 4 poster bed. Breakfast was relaxed and casual in the kitchen. Would have loved to be staying longer. The house is a large Georgian mansion, with free access to the living room and the kitchen for cups of tea/coffee, whenever guest like.
