Beds of Silk is a place for you and your partner, pals, parents or siblings to get away from your daily hectic lives and rediscover true nature by the Shannon Estuary. The peace and tranquility of the surrounding area is yours to discover! Beds of Silk Luxury Holiday Retreat is located in Labasheeda, a picturesque County Clare village nestled by the shore of the River Shannon. The Irish translation of Labasheeda is Leaba (Bed) Sioda (Silk) - the Bed of Silk. The Labasheeda Peninsula has a rich archaeological record, stretching back almost 2,000 years, with several stately homes, ancient churches, holy wells, Napoleonic Era military constructions and more, all within easy reach (and on barely-trafficked roads) by bike, car or on foot from your Beds of Silk base.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, I usually go camping but my boyfriend doesn't like it so we decided to try glamping and it was just amazing. The bed was so comfortable, there's a bbq, hottub, sauna, they have thought of everything!! They don't come near you annoying you you're left to it and have their number if you need anything. We were able to explore there is plenty to do it's a great base to have and it was just so peaceful and tranquil will most definitely be back again loved it 😍

The most glamorous Glamping ever! Perfect set up, everything you could possibly want for a couple of nights. Hot tub & sauna with a view was a great bonus! Lovely village, quiet but the local pub Casey’s added atmosphere. Bring some food as there is no where close by for dinner. Highly recommended.

My first experience of Glamping and I was completely won over by the Beds of Silk fabulous Shepherds Huts. They come fully equipped with all the comforts of home. Very comfortable bed, amazing shower, all the kitchen essentials complete with coffee maker. Each hut has its own BBQ and patio area with fire pit. Sitting out with a coffee at sunrise listening to the sounds of the birds, priceless. Whether you want a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life, or you want a base to explore the beauty of Co. Clare then look no further. Manus and Mary were amazing hosts. Felt so at home I struggled to leave after my 3 night stay.

Having just spent two nights Glamping in the Bed of Silk , Labasheeda, I can safely say I’m hooked. These luxury huts have everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. After a few pints in nearby Casey’s pub, a BBQ overlooking the Shannon estuary was a little piece of heaven. Will definitely return.

This was our first experience of glamping and we were very impressed. We stayed one night in April and found the huts to be warm, spacious and very comfortable. The owners had some excellent little touches like butter pats and long life milk in the fridge, nespresso machine, and crossaints and fruit on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the shower amazing which came supplied with shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. As it was a lovely evening we cooked steak on the gas BBQ and sat out side on the garden table & chairs. I would highly recommend these huts for glamping in style.

After driving 3 hours from Waterford in sideways rain, then sleet and snow to arrive at 10pm in the most welcoming place really was so special! Heating was on, lights were on and hot water for a badly needed warmup. We spent 2 nights in Beds of Silk and 100% enjoyed our stay. The huts are immaculate, clean and deceivingly spacious. The gounds are also immaculate and beautifully kept. We loved the little brook running through the grounds. There was outdoor seating, a fire pit and bbq right outside our hut but being February, we were quite happy to enjoy the indoor comforts of the hut. All the huts have a sunny aspect which would be perfect in the summer sunshine. The Hut had everything we needed. Tea, coffee machine, milk croissants butter fruit hob toaster fridge hairdryer etc etc (too much to list!) and wifi! Being February we just wanted a little time out somewhere quiet and it ticked all the boxes. For coffee and brekky in the morning we walked 1 minute out to the village to Charm Bee Studio and got amazing coffee and scones. In the evening, about 3 mins walk down towards the Estuary, we went to Casey's pub which, being an old country village pub, was very welcoming with a stove lit. We will definitely stay in Beds of Silk again when we head over to Co. Clare in the future. Georgina…

We absolutely loved it here!! The shepherds hut was really well equipped and absolutely beautiful inside. They are remarkably spacious (i think the layout has been thought through very well) and the shower was brilliant, powerful and hot. Lovely. This really is a special little retreat, its so quiet and the owners are lovely and on hand if you need them but you are left to your own devices which is great. We were the only occupied hut, but even if all of them are full they are spaced out and I imagine it would still be a very peaceful retreat. Thank you for making our trip really special.

This was our first time glamping, and we loved it! Really clean, cute lodges, with comfy beds and good facilities. Lovely shower with hot water, and the gas BBQ was handy to have. Set in a lovely quiet (very quiet) village, and a nice short distance to other towns, it was a great base for us to go exploring Clare from. And despite being beside two other lodges, we felt like we had loads of privacy. Perfect for couples. We will definitely be coming back :)

This is a beautiful luxury glamping site, the huts are very comfortable and cosy with soft towels and the shower was great. The location is walking distance to labasheeda village and pier where we were lucky enough to catch high tide and have a lovely early evening swim. This place really is a retreat, we will be back.
