I stayed two nights in "Takkatupa", which was beautiful, spotless and equipped to perfection! The spacious apartment is an open space consisting of sleeping area with comfy bed with fireplace right next to bed, fully equipped kitchen with dining table for 4, spacious double shower and a toilet. Everything seemed brand new! During my stay i tried the sauna, which is for sure the biggest one i've ever been to, with a monsterous stove, that i heard takes nearly 10 hours to heat up! Absolutely something to try!! First night i was lucky to see the northern lights just in front of the cottage (see the photo) it was absolutely magical! All in all, it is a perfect place to feel the real wild lapland away from the hustle of the levi resort nearby! Took about 20min to reach the cottage from the airport. My main goal during my trip was to snap some good photos, and i couldnt have chosen better! The host couple Anette and Matti were extremely helpful and gave me a lot of information about the place and surroundings! Definitely the place to stay in Lapland! Thank you!

The perfect place to experience the Finnish Lapland and unwind. Peaceful place far enough but still not too far from Levi and Ylläs ski resorts and the airport. Cozy and well-equipped Takkatupa log cabin worked very well for our family of three (travelled with a 1-year-old)
