Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful small hotel. Nice room, welcoming people. Dinner was outstanding, all with local products, although a bit expensive. Breakfast was amazing with homemade jam and local fruit bread. And the village is also stunning. Will be back.

The hotel is in a lovely small town. It is easy to find on the main road, but also very quiet at night. Our standard room was a good size with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom ( shower). The staff were all very professional and the owners, Andrea and Chef, were especially welcoming. Their English was quite good and we managed everything without difficulty. Aside from their warmth, the other outstanding feature is the restaurant. Don’t miss the opportunity to dine there with the award winning Chef. I also recommend the breakfast, standard fare but well presented and we were well looked after. We would definitely return should we go back to this area again. We enjoyed good hiking from the top of the gondola which we boarded in Sedrun ( 10 min by car- free parking). Gorgeous views

We were traveling and I was feeling awful. We stopped in the middle of the afternoon and I was able to sleep off my cold. The room was clean and nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and had a shower big enough for two people to share. The price advertised from the road was 65 Euro. It turns out that it’s per person which I found kind of annoying. A room is a room, does it matter how many people are in it? The restaurant in the hotel was good and romantic and I felt bad that I was bringing the place down by being sick. The soup was good just wish it were bigger. The views would’ve been great if it were a clear day but that wasn’t the hotels fault.

The landlord is an excellent cook with a very sophisticated wine list and some confortable rooms with a view. I spent there 4 days up in the mountains during the day, than a short bath in the near "bogn" and an excellent dinner with local specialities mixed with a "cuisine de marché". The team was very welcoming and seem to like their work.

We were travelling on a motorbike in the pouring rain when we saw a board outside the hotel which said "Rooms from 65chf". We stopped and went in to ask if there was a room for 65chf and were assured 3 times that the price of the ROOM was indeed 65chf. As it was still raining the next day we decided to stay an extra night; expecting a final bill of 130chf + tax. On departure we were shocked and rather annoyed to find that our bill was in fact 270.80chf and that the manager would only let us pay on credit card in sterling not local currency. The motorbike was locked in his garage so we had to pay even though we disputed the bill. I sent several emails to try to resolve the matter, but only received one in return. The manager was sorry that we had been misled and if we drove the 1000 miles back to the hotel and BOUGHT a meal in the restaurant, he would give us a free drink! ! !

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in August 2011 and thorougly enjoyed it - truly very nice family-run hotel with just a few rooms. Booked a standard since our stay was short and thought it would be no problem even if the room was small, but on the contrary; it was really big, so indeed very well suited for the week-long stays that would be common either for skiers or hikers. The only thing to be noted - it is located outside Sedrun, in another small village called Rueras. Walking time to Sedrun approx 20 minutes. And the restaurant is superb! High prices, just like elsewhere in Switzerland, but really good food. Last not least, pets are welcome :)
