Amazing stay in Vista hostel! 30 min far from Nainital, within a tiny village only accessible by foot, this is the best place to relax after some big busy Indian cities. The staff and the volunteers received us super nicely and few trecks start just above the house. Don't miss that!

Not that there are not other places like this in Nature however Vista Stays has that specific attraction of the serene surroundings coupled with amazingly sweet behaviour of Shantanu & the lovely people from the neighbourhood, always ready to guide you in exploring nature. The place & the time spent there pull you back to visit again for the place certainly has a unique characteristic that you effortlessly go into meditative state & start enjoying yourself like a child who just wants to explore. From the cot placed outside a lovely sunset is in view. A friendly dog chases butterflies and some interesting people. This is Vista hostel. Started by a bunch of young entrepreneurs, this place also has some localites who make us feel at home. I am a woman who traveled solo and this hostel was completely safe and kept me at ease.

Passing through Haldwani on my way to the Nepali border in Banbasa, I ended up staying 3 nights in Vista Hostel and am so thankful for those days. The hostel has *everything* you could dream of in a beautiful mountain area: - Good energy (it is palpable!) - Amazing mountains - Tasty local food - Friendly owners - Comfy dormbeds & Private rooms - Relaxing lounge area - Multiple bonfire places for stargazing at night - A beautiful sunset viewpoint trek - A vegetable garden with a beehive, two funny rabbits and Daniël a black labrador pup Whether you are a city person wanting to spend some time in nature, an artist looking for some reflection time or just a group of friends/colleagues wanting to have fun together, Vista Hostel is where it is at. Best place to start and end your trip in Nainital is at vista hostel in jeolikot. Bestest of food(home like), view, ambiance, trek, you name it, you have it here in minutes reach. They've have their own sunset point and believe me, it's totally worth it. By far the best I've ever been to. Kudos to team vista hostel.
