Like so many other life-changing experiences..I bumped into Volpaia backwards!! I stumbled into this teeny village eager to see the real Tuscany and was greeted by warmth, love, and great food!! ~ the beginning of my Dolce Vita in Volpaia!! Many times my friends and I have stayed in the beautiful apartments ~ with views beyond belief!!! And last year...

Lovely drive to La Volpaia and were greeted by a welcoming team who were very friendly and helpful. Great selection of whites and reds. Their reserves were quite smooth and were reasonably priced. Would definitely return. If you visit make sure you finish or start your visit with a meal at La Bottega next door.

I first discovered this idyllic setting and country house in the middle of Tuscan nowhere in 1999, and have visited many times since as it's become my ideal hub for Tuscan day tripping. My most recent trip this summer was glorious. Still owned by Andrea & Silvia, the property is currently managed by Giovanni & Paolo, and a young woman...

We were surprised to learn that this place was built in the 1400!!! Giovanna and Paolo are great host, we were treated like family, we felt like it was home. Beautiful and quiet, we booked only one night and finally stayed three nights and we could of stayed there for a week... You are 40 minutes from Sienna and Florence....

My partner and I, and my sister stayed at La Volpaia for three nights. Paolo and Giovanna treated us like kings. They are friendly, professional, and very helpful in every way. (The morning dew was wiped off the car every morning!) This is a very beautiful old farm house that has been renovated in a very elegant and tasteful way....

I came to La Volpaia some years ago and truly enjoyed my stay. The location is ideal, the setting and view magnificent . The rustic style farm house had been tastefully renovated and the hosts were courteous, kind and helpful. The food was excellent and the accommodation simple but clean and comfortable. Recently , I returned to Tuscany and decided...

Don't be put off by the negative reviews. As other have commented this is not a Hilton with polished marble, if that is what you want go to a hotel for 500. This is a wonderful relaxed authentic farmhouse in an idyllic location run by the nicest people you would want to meet. Just beware of the food, the quality...

This is a very quaint Tuscan retreat. Very comfortable and the host are delightful. Each night as we returned to la Volpaia we were greated with appetizers, fresh made bread, fabulous homemade dinners and pleanty of Chianti! Andre was very helpful in planning the next days adventure. This is a great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of...

Meeting Silvia and Andrea and their family made for a real Tuscany experience. This farm stay not only provided a convenient launch pad to explore the smaller towns in Tuscany but helped us truly appreciate local Italian customs and society. The farm was hard to find, even the GPS had problems. We should have followed Silvia's directions. Once we made...

Some of the negative reviews referred to overgrown, neglected, etc. If you expect a Hilton, don't go here. But, if you are looking for a down-to-earth, authentic, Tuscan experience where the focus is on country hospitality, you cannot go wrong with La Volpaia. We found the hosts to be fabulous people who are very knowledgeable of the area and its...
