The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. They were able to assist with all of our requirements and went above and beyond to do so. Our stay was incredible as we were given a complimentary room upgrade on top of it all. A special thank you to Amanda for all her kindness and making us feel comfortable. Beau was very helpful and kind.

A bit late, but we'd just like to say how wonderful the venue, the wedding co-ordinators and the staff were when we booked our wedding with Oddfellows on the Park last year (May 2023). Would highly recommend! Everything went smoothly and I particularly enjoyed the ability to customise the menu and drinks- for instance the 'Mr & Mrs' cocktails, a Don Marco-inspired wedding breakfast and a sensational BBQ (I was too busy on the day to taste it, but I heard fantastic reviews from the guests!)

The problems started as soon as we arrived. There is hardly anywhere to park with only around 10 parking spaces dedicated to the hotel. There is a Stockport council owned car park a few minutes walk away, which you have to pay for and isn’t ideal as when it’s raining as it usually is in Manchester you get wet through and all your luggage whilst dragging it all to the hotel. I ended up parking in what actually wasn’t a designated spot but had obviously been used plenty of times previously as it looked like one, unfortunately the next day I had to walk through a massive muddy puddle to get back in my car as it had flooded around it. We checked in and we were handed the key and took our things up to the room (there isn’t a lift). Initially the room looked lovely but then we took a closer look. There was a short curly hair in the bath, mould on the ceiling, in the shower, on the tiles, cracked plaster on the ceiling. When we pulled the blind down, there were all red marks on it, which looked like blood. We weren’t sure what it was. Dusty radiators that you got a finger full of dust when I ran my finger along it. We needed an iron but there isn’t one in the room so we tried to call down and couldn’t find the number so asked on our way down for dinner if they could put it in our room. We had a bath that night but had to clean it first and remove the hair. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel are provided each, even though it advertised bathrobes. The sleep was awful, the mattress was too firm, very uncomfortable pillows (apparently there’s a pillow menu, no idea where that was) and everytime someone flushed the toilet, the noise came through our room so kept waking us up. The hotel is right under the flight path and the planes start coming over on their approach into Manchester from 6am so that’s pretty much continuous from then. The heating was also extremely noisy and came on at regular intervals. We didn’t sleep well at all. We fell back asleep and woke up around 9ish and tried to call down to ask what time breakfast finished but couldn’t find any where what the number for reception was again, after trying the usual suspects 100, 1 , 0, etc.. we gave up. We just got up and decided to go down for breakfast. We arrived at the restaurant, after passing the manager, who acknowledged us (so maybe she should’ve advised us then that breakfast had finished) to an empty restaurant. We waited approximately 5 mins and a young waitress turned up, by this time we had sat down and had some juice as we were fed up of waiting. The waitress informed us that breakfast had finished and it finished at 9:30. This is also very odd as you can book a breakfast at the restaurant for 9:30 on their website. Hotels.com where we booked advertises breakfast is served daily until 10am. We asked the waitress if they could still offer us some breakfast as the chefs were still there, she came back and said just toast or eggs, no cooked breakfast would be offered. We decided to leave it as my boyfriend loves a full English breakfast. We mentioned it to the manager on the way back to the room and she said she would speak to them and they’d listen to her (or something along those lines). It was very uncomfortable and we didn’t want to be in a restaurant where someone is begrudgingly making you some breakfast, it’s not a comfortable situation to be in and we certainly didn’t want to feel like this, especially on Valentine’s Day. We expressed our concerns to the manager, we told her that we had tried to calm down twice but couldn’t find the number . Apparently it’s 1000 and there’s a book in the room . We went back up and looked all over for this book but couldn’t find it. Apparently it’s in the cupboard next to the coffee machine, which is strange because I looked in there twice to try and find instructions on how to use the coffee machine. Maybe we are both going blind?? We had a shower but the 2 towels we were provided were still damp from the night before and as the towel heater was so dusty, I didn’t want to hang them on that, plus it’s in the toilet. When we checked out the lady on reception said she would refund us our breakfast. We told her about everything else and offered to show her photos of everything we found in the dirty room. She just asked me to send them in and they’d pass them to housekeeping. She then said she would clear our bill for our drinks and a service charge which had been added from dinner as a gesture for the filthy room and not getting the luxury experience we had been looking forward to. We forwarded the photos and asked for a phone call. My boyfriend expressed how unhappy and disappointed we were and the lady he spoke to said she would reduce the bill to 50% off everything. I then received an email with the updated invoice. I replied expressing our disappointment again and asked why you could still book breakfast at 9:30 and how it’s advertised as breakfast daily until 10, plus the other things of concern. I was told they would knock another £30.20 off. The whole bill including our drinks came to £371.81. The room was £268.01 for bed, breakfast and dinner (we knew we would have to buy drinks) . You get a set amount for dinner and then have to contribute to the rest so if you want a 3 course meal then expect to pay around another £30-£40 on top of your bill. I’m a vegetarian so my food choice is always cheaper and we had 2 courses. The extra was £2 for food, the rest wine and service charge of £15, which they include and you pay 10% on everything you’ve had, not just for the extra. With everything that they have “refunded “ I have received £30.20 back. So basically got £30 off an almost £300 room and they’ve given us a few drinks, not had breakfast and taken off the service charge. Meanwhile we’ve still paid £237.81 for hardly any sleep and a filthy room and a very unpleasant stay! We stay in hotels all over the world ranging from 3-5 stars and I honestly don’t know how they have got 5 stars! We don’t begrudge paying for what you expect and we expected a luxury stay as advertised and we’ve stayed in better premier inns and had better sleep! Wish we had just stayed at home.

What a hidden Jewel. I have stayed at several hotels by the Manchester Airport in the past, but will definitely return. The rooms were clean, unique, and tastefully designed. Everywhere in the hotel was a charming exploration. Wifi was great and the outside trails were a special treat. I ate at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals I have ever had in England. Absolutely perfect! The service and chef were top class. The dining room had maybe a dozen tables with great wine selection. THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT PLACE FOR A DATE. Couple of things to note: parking is small, limited and challenging all day - every day. Also, there isn't an elevator, so you might have lug your luggage up several flights of stairs depending on the floor they put you on. These were small inconveniences, but in my case - it contributed to the original charm.

We got married at Oddfellows on the park, Cheadle in November 2023. It was everything we could have hoped for. The venue itself is just beautiful. We loved its unique style, little quirks and general vibe. Victoria was our wedding coordinator. She’s an absolute delight and made the whole process a super smooth one from the very start. Nothing was ever too much trouble and our catch ups and regular check ins were always lovely. Vic is a fab communicator and very organised. I stayed at the venue the night before the wedding and I was looked after so well. I received a huge amount of help from lovely Liam who helped me set up the room. Liam went above and beyond the night before the wedding and on the wedding day. He was an absolute dream and I will be forever grateful to him. Our wedding day was incredible. To see all of the months of hard work and planning come together was amazing. The day ran very smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The team were fantastic. The chef and all of the kitchen staff did an incredible job with our wedding food. (Soup, roast beef dinner and sticky toffee pudding). The food was cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious, hot and generously portioned. All three courses were so perfect for our Sunday winter wedding. The venue itself is just beautiful. We loved its unique style, little quirks and general vibe. The grounds are so pretty and the driveway up to the venue still takes my breath away. The bedrooms are delightful and the beds are very comfortable. We cannot recommend Oddfellows enough. Gorgeous place, gorgeous team. So down to earth and personable. I’d you are considering booking Oddfellows for your wedding, do it!! If we had to do it all again, we wouldn’t change a thing. To all of the Oddfellows team that were a part of our wedding, thank you so much to each and every one of you!! You all helped to make our day so special. Much love, Natalie & Warren xx

What can I say, the staff here are amazing, warm, friendly, chatty and welcoming. We stayed for one night prior to a flight from Manchester and couldn’t recommend Oddfellows highly enough. Ate in the restaurant where we continued to encounter pleasant friendly staff. Food was very good, we would not consider staying in an on-site generic airport hotel again when this little gem is on the doorstep. Will definitely return when visiting Manchester for shopping trips or airport departures.

We had a fantastic Christmas event at this venue. The service, facilities, and food were excellent, and all of our staff had a great time. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully done. One thing I would say is that parking is limited and a nearby council car park can be used for a small charge , however the path to the car park is not lit and in the winter not the most pleasant walk.

Good Afternoon Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you and your team had such as good Christmas event and I do hope that you will be joining us again this year. My apologies for the limited parking and lack of lighting, it is something that we are continually trying to improve in conjunction with Stockport council and hopefully we will be able to achieve this in the future. After searching far and wide for a venue for our Christmas Party, we stumbled upon Oddfellows on the Park in Cheadle. This little gem is tucked away in the beautiful Bruntwood Park. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was the right venue for us as a business. It ticked all the boxes we needed - classy, not too big, not too small, a flexible space. We discussed our requirements with Ansah and were assured that everything could be met and there would be little effort on our part to get everything together - and this was the case. Communication with Ansah was great throughout, and she recommended certain suppliers where we struggled to find some ourselves (360-degree photobooth, etc.) A couple of us booked rooms to stay overnight and have the luxury of getting ready beforehand. There was very little for us to do on the day - everything was set up and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were fab, the party itself was fab - it was just fab all around. Thank you to the entire team, we'll be looking at having another party there again.

Absolutely perfect experience. We stayed for my husband's 50th. The staff were so amazing, delivering a glass of champagne when we arrived in our room. We had a meal in the Galloping Major which was delicious then cocktails in the Stud Bar. Callum was the perfect host in there. Thank you so much for making everything so amazing. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
