Nestled in a picturesque park, Oddfellows On The Park is celebrated for its thoughtful amenities, including a customizable menu and attentive service, though the wine selection receives mixed reviews. The hotel's decor is stylish, adding to the inviting atmosphere that many guests admire. While pricing is generally seen as reasonable, some patrons find the cost of dining and additional services steep. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with rooms described as immaculate by numerous travelers. The service staff garners acclaim for their friendliness and professionalism, despite occasional lapses. Rooms are comfortable and clean, yet a few visitors note room for improvement in maintenance.

I love this hotel the attention to the aesthetics and how it’s linked to the heritage of the site. The original features that have been brought back to life can see someone has thoughtfully taken care and detail. The food was amazing too breakfast and evening meals and would love to come back for a vegan afternoon tea. As with anything in life it’s fair to give feedback and I think this place could be perfect through more thorougher cleaning standards as there was dust on skirting boards and old balls of hair and dust under desk area in bedroom but this is something that could be resolved easily. And with lick of paint on scuffed paint work, but I will definitely be back to support a local business. On another note the staff were also very attentive and helpful during my stay so thank you

Good Afternoon Thank you so much for your lovely review of the hotel. I am so glad that you enjoyed the food and you should definitely come and try the afternoon tea, it is very popular. I would like to compliment the staff who were so very helpful from enquiring about the venue and what we required to welcoming the party and providing a room so we could continue catching up with family and friends after the afternoon tea.
The wine I ordered was cold in ice buckets and the non alcoholic prosecco which was not in the wine list was catered for. The afternoon tea was certainly enjoyed.

Everyone had a lovely afternoon and the mum to be has added her thanks to the Oddfellows staff.

We needed a place to stay after needing to be in Altrincham & were recommended to Oddfellows by family who know them form another location in Chester.

We went for a Club room and got #12 on the ground floor. The room was nicely appointed and we’ve no complaints.

A drink in the bar before dinner was the order of the day and then we eat in their restaurant. The food was good, as in nicely presented, flavoursome and cooked with passion. The service was friendly and efficient.

Overall, a lovely location. Interestingly converted. There is one downside which has been highlighted before, it’s close to Manchester airport and so when flights start in the morning the noise of the planes taking off is certainly noticeable.

Iv stayed at some hotels in the past but I have to say this was the worse experience iv had at a hotel in a long time.

After paying for 2 rooms and 5 breakfasts being told we have to wait until 3pm until all the rooms were cleaned.

After going to the room we found that the room was not clean there was toothpaste all over the wash basis, used shampoo bottles in the shower, pubic hair in the shower it just wasn't clean and that was just the bathroom.

The sheets were covered in dirt as if they had not been changed and the room was lacking basics like milk for a cup of tea.

After that mess with the room I was frustrated, we were attending a wedding and we had a private bar but was told it wasn't serving cocktails and a staff member to told us to go to the residents bar and we were told we could not be servered as we were guests of the wedding so this annoyed me further so after a sleepless night because of the air conditioning constantly blowing cold air all night we went down to breakfast were I have to say the organisation skills were awful.

There were tables with 2 people and tables with 8 people and random breakfasts came out and only one or people would be eating breakfast.

We ordered our breakfast I advised the server that I had a major allergy to tomatoes and 20 minutes a rack of toast came but we had still not had our order but the table next to us had their breakfast and no toast so we pass on the the rack of toast as was only right thing to do.

10 minutes later my partners breakfast came and my 3 children's came all with things missing or under cooked.

Me sat there thinking were is mine. A couple of minutes later the server brought out a random breakfast that had tomatoes on even though I specified I was highly allergic to them I advised her again and she took it away. Another server then came and said they had misplaced my order so I had to order again, 15 minutes later after everyone had finished my ordered arrived I just couldn't eat it the bacon was under cooked the eggs were not too bad but the sausage had bubbles of grease floating inside I felt so sick as I cut into one and grease just covered my plate so I simple got up and left it as it was one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had.

I would not recommend anyone stay here at £175 a night I paid just shy of £400 on rooms and feel I could have got better service and quality at a premier inn hotel.

The hotel visually is beautiful but with the lack in hygiene and the poor quality in breakfast i would never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wouldn't recommend anyone with allergies attend a wedding with food here either as I am dairy intolerant and they servered me chocolate cake and ice cream for desert even though they were advised of it and they confirmed the allergy during the starter.

Seriously need to sort this out as not only is the quality poor the staffs attribute is also awful aswell.

I wouldn't never consider writing a review this bad but I was so angry after leaving

Having chose this hotel as its proximity to Manchester Airport we thought it would very nice. How wrong we were.

We humped our bags into reception after a 10 hour flight watched by a lady sat on a stool in reception. A gentleman came from bar and assisted with our luggage and left it outside the room and left. Very odd

We went to our room which must have been the last let one, probably sold a month ago, it was 9-10pm window was open with cobwebs and dust on, but as were were so tired from travelling we went straight to sleep. There was a plug in smelly in the plug next to the bed which I turned off, and realised why it was there when we were woken next morning. The damp musty smell was vile. Whilst trying to sleep there are three lights around the room, flashing in the dark (The air con, The TV and what looked like the heat/smoke detector) very off putting when you are trying to get to sleep

At 6.30am the next morning we were abruptly woken by delivery vehicles backing up against our window with it reverse beepers on ! We were right next to the kitchen/cafe. The window was frosted and now we know why !!

As we were woken we went for breakfast and walked into a restaurant with 3 business men having an appraisal at the breakfast table - This is not a meeting room but a restaurant and very poor

We also notice the chef wearing normal clothes (Polo shirt and trousers) and not chefs whites, why ? in an open kitchen.

The buffet was very meagre flies in the juices and flowers which we had to tell the staff, the music was unbearable loud and I am partially deaf, and asked the staff to turn it down. The cooked breakfast arrived, greasy and pretty inedible, we left as there was not staff in the restaurant

We had to climb over laundry bags to get to our room, we then checked out and were not even given a bill

We were clearly very disappointed and thought about it and thought we would e mail the hotel for a managers details, they duly gave us the details, and we e mailed that person, who has not even responded. hence the review.

Hotels cannot be run like this otherwise it will just close - please take with your paying guests.

we had a wonderful oval weekend here, you live in the lovely English countryside, like a noble in a castle, in the middle of a park, and everything is right, breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and great wines (although we missed a more precise wine list that also tells you the year and producer and not only says which vineyard in Burgundy the wine comes from, also somewhat high prices for the wine) Wine is taken seriously and there were large glass wine cabinets in the restaurant. Great big room with a view. The place is recommended.

Visited before flying out of Manchester airport. We stayed in the tower suite, which was nice but the shower was not very powerful, no dressing gowns, which you would expect or you’re just walking around naked. Top floor needs a blind on the seating area window. The chandelier needs changing for a lamp, just looks so random with bits of fake glass on the floor that’s fallen off it.
Restaurant was very nice for the evening meal and breakfast was abit of a disaster with over cooked eggs and cold coffee.
Overall still very good but some attention to detail needed when paying £300+ for a room, food and drink for night. I would return if the concerns raised were addressed.

Overall 4 out if 5 👍🏻

Good Afternoon Mark Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your evening meal and have passed your comments regarding breakfast to our chef. I have also asked maintenance to investigate the shower pressure in the room, as this should not be the case. With regards to the bath robes, as mentioned in the compendium, these are provided upon request. I am glad that overall you had a pleasant stay with us and I do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Oddfellows in the future. Kind Regards

Arrived 9th August for 2 day stay on arrival found room not ready although we had arrived early. Gave them time to prepare the room around 4pm was advised room available. Checked room and found toilet not flushed used face wipes from previous guest in the bin kettle unemptied 7 used coffee pods in machine and milk pods on floor. Evening meal was disappointing ordered fish and chips fish came luke warm and raw when cutting into it.informed waiter and sent back offered replacement but declined. Ordered sticky toffee pudding which came cold and unappetising. Only allowed to use stud bar which is the smallest and seating limited. Breakfast not much better waited 45 minutes to take order and meal not worth the wait. In fairness to the hotel they refunded the second night and the meal as we were not prepared to stay another night. My opinion is not 5star luxury far from it, woul not recommend

If you’re in the decision making process of deciding where to have your wedding, make sure Oddfellows On The Park is on your shortlist!

We had a totally stress free period leading up to the wedding thanks to the dedication and attention to every little detail by Liam, Ansah and the events team. You could tell how excited the team were to be holding our wedding and the pride that they all had in making the room look stunning both for the reception and wedding breakfast.

Nothing was too much trouble and every time we spoke or visited, Tracy, Hannah & Claire from the reception team and all the hotel staff made it feel so personal. Helio the general manager, has selected a great set of individuals as part of his team who make every stay memorable.

Co-ordination of timings and the order of the day was perfect and we had such a fun, enjoyable day, with even some of the hotel staff (Jade, Skye & Natasha) getting involved and having a dance with us in the evening.

I’ve not even mentioned the food yet but guess what, yet again, it was perfect. Each and every guests course was mouthwatering, hot and perfectly cooked. Not many places can get something so right when catering for a large number of people all at once but Paul, the Head Chef and his team nailed it.

After the wedding, we stayed an extra night to relax and enjoy our first day as a married couple - best decision ever! Again, it was so relaxing enjoying cocktails from the bar, with impeccable service from Hendrik and savouring more of the delicious food from the restaurant both at lunch and dinner, overseen by Tracy, Ryan & Katy. Little touches like Jade bringing us up some wedding cake and ice cream to our room mid afternoon are the little things that you don’t get unless you’ve got a team of people who love their job.

If you want an amazingly decorated, uniquely styled wedding venue in a great location, check out Oddfellows and you too will be left with happy memories forever of your day.

Right why am I crying? Stop it immediately 😂 We knew how important your wedding was for so many reasons. It had to be perfect and we worked so hard to make sure that was the case so I’m happy as Larry that came across. You’re right…. Helio is very lucky to have us all. Make sure you mention that to him whenever you see him won’t you 😀 You’ll always have a special connection to us and your family home. It was completely our pleasure 👌🏽 See you soon! X Liam

The property itself was lovely and has huge potential. The cleaning was not up to standard, a lot of the staircases were dirty and all the tables at dinner had food underneath them from lunch. The dining chairs were covered in hair. I also couldn’t use my in-room coffee machine because the water tank had dead flies in it. The hotel also quoted us a fine of £180 plus the new room cost to amend the date of the stay. I understand that not all hotels are big enough to offer flexibility but as we are a charity it left a bit of a sadness around the stay. The bar area was beautiful and receptionist was very helpful.

Thank you for your review. We are very concerned that the hotel didn't represent the standard of cleanliness we aim to achieve, and we will address this feedback with our housekeeping team. We are confused as to the £180 fine you mentioned, as we do not fine guests for amending booking dates. Please may we ask you to contact us directly by telephone, 0161 697 3066, or email reception@oddfellowsonthepark.com to discuss this further.

I presume from your location, that you’re not familiar with this part of England. I’d obviously recommend you hire a vehicle if you’re wishing to travel around, but Uber’s and taxis can take you there. Stockport isn’t too far away, with a railway station. I’m afraid I can’t answer the other questions, apart from, they definitely accept credit cards. You might wish to contact the venue direct, I’m sure they’ll be able to answer all of your queries. Good luck.
