My family and I have stayed at Chateau de Raray many times and we always love it. It is a beautiful historic building with so much exciting history. From the impressive entrance into the chateau grounds to the warm welcome, it's a pleasure to stay here. Many of the rooms at the back of the hotel have gorgeous views over... More

Just 60 minutes north of Paris, this chateau is situated in a rural area. It is not a full-service hotel, but comparable to a "chambre d'hotes". There is no restaurant or reception after 19:00h in the evening. In the morning, a well organized breakfast is served. Rooms are large and well equipped, including a water cooker and a hairdryer. At... More

This place is beautiful on the outside and fine for a one-night stay but not for longer, except if you play golf, as there is absolutely nothing to do. There is no spa, no pool, no restaurant at dinner time, and minimal service. Expect to carry your luggage upstairs to your bedroom, there is no lift. Staff left the chateau... More

Okay, we stayed here for just one night. That's all I can base my opinion upon. The castle and surroundings (a.o. a golf course) are very pretty and beautiful. Quiet in a relaxed sort of way. When we arrived in the afternoon we could order a nice refreshing drink with the working staff. Very friendly & helpful. Diner was not... More

The age of grand country houses and chateaus is long past (decades - or centuries - past), and unfortunately Chateau de Raray exemplifies that. The building and grounds look beautiful from the outside, but upon entering, the lack of care is evident. The room was very sub-par, and not in the good golf-terminology manner of speaking. The lack of elevator... More

The bedroom was huge with a gorgeous view. We ate lunch in the dining room and had a feast. The chateau was gorgeous as were the grounds. I understand that the golf was good. Bedroom: carpet was dirty; we had to ask for toilet paper and towels; there was no handsoap; room was not cleaned unless we asked; tiles were... More

A group of us stayed at this impressive chateau. Kate Marechal and her team made us most welcome and were very flexible when we needed to extend our stay. The rooms are in the process of being updated which will make the Chateau a perfect place to stay. The golf course is beautiful and well maintained.

Playing golf at Golf de Raray with 6 friends we decided to have lunch after our round and were not disappointed. Excellent and very reasonable menu with top-class service in the April sunshine. The chateau is also an hotel with 10 spacious and well-appointed rooms and a gastronomique restaurant "La Belle Et Le Bete" (Jean Cocteau's film of the same... More

I arrived when it was dark and had to make a determined effort to find the entrance as there's no external lighting by the Gates, along the Driveway or illuminating the Chateau itself. i then used my phone to find the steps leading upto the entrance (whose sign is also NOT illuminated). The Foyer gives no impression of being a... More

No cleaning, no decent room, not as was described, not worthy, not nice caretaker. No thank you. That review is regarding what they call as studio and not the regular rooms. The golf court looks very nice, as does the castle from outside.
