Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We just stayed a night after a conference nearby, but it was very good surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful. We tried the sauna and the swimming pool as well. The breakfast was delicious. There was already snow so the vista was beautiful.

We stayed here during our company party for a weekend. Here are the pluses and minuses: + good location if you want to go skiing + nice staff + nice bathroom + nice spa + clean - some rooms have bathrobes, some don't and it is unpractical without it - spa and the rooms are getting older, it would soon need reconstruction - breakfast wasn't as good as expected, small choice. - it was very warm everywhere in the hotel Overall it is an average hotel, but with a good location.

We went for a family ski trip for 1 week and had a very pleasent stay overall. The staff was very nice and outstandingly helpful (we had an emergency at 2 am and they called the paramedics for us). We had no issue with the service at the restaurant either. The rooms are as expected from a 3 star hotel, for some it might be a bit small. The welness center is above average. The darts room could use some refurbishment. The food at the restaurant is quite good and the breakfast is plenty enough for a good day on the slopes. Will definetly consider going back.

The Stouka is a good start point for some amazing Tatras trails. I booked on the hop at the last minute but still managed to find a room. The staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast was really good too.

We stayed in a big enough apartment, with a large bathroom, but the second room is quite small. Decent lines. Only two bathrobes in a three persons suite. No information panels in English language, only in Slovak. Best thing in this hotel is the spa with nice mountain view. Silence in summer, but can't guarantee during the skiing season...

We had the "Presidential Suite", the most expensive room in the hotel. To get to the room we had to drag our bags through the restaurant, outside and up stairs. No baggage help; no elevator (there was one but I think it was service elevator, I would not get in it); in the morning before 7 the restaurant door was locked and we had to traipse down another flight of stairs, go through the wellness area and up a flight to the lobby. The room, while large, had NO SHOWER, just a bathtub. It did have a very nice bed and decent lines, although the towels were linen service scratchy and thin. The breakfast was OK; dinner was OK, although a cheese plate billed as "aged cheeses: contained only Brie and some goat cheese (a rip-off). Service was not great, limited English, desultory desk staff. I would never stay here again and pay over $120 euros for one night! This was barely a two star hotel in my opinion. We tried to move next door to the much nicer (at least in public areas) Partizen, but they were full. Unless you like to stay in youth hostels, find another hotel!

I'm totally in love with this hotel. The rooms are clean, big enough and calm. I got the mountain view and pleasant bad. The SPA zone was the best I could get after skiing. My best recommendation for this place

I´ve stayed at this hotel during a business meeting. I was located at the dependence Golf, 100m from the hotel Stupka. Lets start with the location - lovely nature, quiet place. This was nice. The hotel Stupka itself is average. Meeting room was nice, but we have to walk 2 floor down stairs to the toilets. The breakfast was not so good. Choice not big enough. Just one sort of juice (grapefruit), coffee not good. The food for lunch and dinner was average. I was chocked by the service. Once we came for a lunch (they knew we will come) and we discovered, that all chairs are wet as they were just deep cleaning them. There was no dry chair to sit. So we got some towels to sit on them. I ordered a starter. They forgot it even if I remainded them twice. We were sitting all 10 people at the same table. They started to bring a meal for one person, then for another. So at the end, some people have already finished their meal, but the other didn´t even receive it. Then they forgot to bring some ordered drinks. When I have finished my main course, they brought me the starter :D. Well, it was a disaster. But not only during this lunch. The service was the same during the whole day. The room at dependence Golf - I didn´t like it at all. Dirty walls, dirty carpet, dirty tables, curtains with a hole, towels with a hole, trash bin full when I came first day. Well, this place is to be avoided!

Stayed here many times in past, last time one weekend in july 2015. The most important thing is, that Stupka is really clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. But the reason why I can't give more than 3* are rooms.. There is big difference between rooms on south and north. Big difference but NOT in price. And that's the shame! Rooms on south (for 2 persons) are bigger, has balcony and beautiful view. Rooms (for 2 persons) on north are small, maybe for little cat (after her head is off....), has no balcony, beds are from 1979.. Pros - renovated bathroom. Hotel should really consider difference in price.. No fridge, only in few rooms.. I don't understand...... But for oversleep, who cares.. Food is ok, nothing special, good ice cream, terrible coffee.. But the taste is matter of opinion.. Wifi in all area. Wellness clean, salty pool :) All in all, nothing special, but maybe next time again..

Average services, small rooms, but staff very friendly. Wellness: pool 12 x 6 m, jaccuzii for 8 people, 3 saunas, good massages. Breakfast very average, but dinner very good. Golf area near hotel. Hotel neighborhood not very interesting, but natural scenery excellent. Služby priemerné, izby pomerne malé, ale personál veľmi príjemný. Wellness: bazén 12 x 6 m so slanou vodou, vírivka, 3 sauny, výborné masáže. Raňajky nič moc, ale večera výborná. Golfový areál neďaleko hotela. Okolie hotela pomerne zanedbané, avšak príroda veľmi pekná
