This boutique Inn is part of a complex that includes the restaurant El Tigre Vestido one of my favorite restaurants in Heredia. It's hidden but still close enough to Heredia to still be convenient if you have transportation. No busses here and most taxistas do not know of its existence. There are coffee tours here so take one of those,...

Hotel is in a quiet rural situation not too far from the airport. Rooms are spread out in large tropical forested grounds, with a nature trail. Our bedroom was large and had all the necessary features, but was gloomy, with heavy dark-wood furniture and an old-fashioned look despite being of recent construction. In general the hotel seems to need some...

A couple of nights here at Finca Rosa Blanca was the perfect end to a cruise through the Panama Canal which terminated in Costa Rica. A beautiful oasis, working all the time to be eco-friendly, good accommodation, good food and friendly staff. Top this off with a superb coffee tour, round the on-site 11 acre plantation, where as well as...

My husband and I stay in the Aves room 3 nights for the 1st part of our Costa Rica vacation. The rest of the trip will have high standards to live up to compared to the Finca Rosa! When we first arrived I was a little worried...I thought it was located further outside of the hustle and bustle of the...

My sister wanted to escape the summer heat in Houston, and so came down to visit me in Costa Rica. They chose to stay at the Finca Rosa Blanca Inn, high in the mountains looking down over the central valley. My son spent a few days with them in the Piedre (Rock) room, and we all joined them for a...

We spent 2 nights here on our arrival in Costa Rica. It is about 40 mins drive from San Jose airport (traffic permitting) It consists of a main reception block with restaurant bar and pool with stunning views over the valley. The rooms are vast and individually charmingly quirky ( our bed was built on and around a large rock...

We stayed here for our first night in Costa Rica after a long flight. It was a wonderful welcome to Costa Rica. We stayed in El Cafetal in the main building. It was a beautiful room with a great balcony overlooking San Jose and the mountains. The bed was very comfortable! I especially loved the large bathroom with traditional blue...

Stopped here only because it was near San Jose International Airport. Wish I had booked in longer. The rooms are all unique featuring hand painted murals, with a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. They have coffee samples in each room, which are grown on site. Had tuna steaks in the restaurant (which has an open air terrace section) which were cooked...

You don't check into this Inn, you are welcomed and greeted to an open air dining room where you are served coffee and cookies while your luggage is transported to your villa or room. Each space is dramatically set to inspire rest. The very best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel, the food was expertly prepared and...

What a lovely surprise when we arrived at Finca Rosa Blanca (White Rose Farm). It is a joy to the eye as soon as you arrive. Low rise buildings with white washed walls that blend in with the forest around it. Spectacular views towards San Jose as the land falls away. Lovely restaurant and bar area with an excellent menu....
