We didn't stay there, only visited the restaurant, which was a nice experience. Few guests, good kitchen, kind service, lush interior. The desserts felt a bit over-thinked and over-sweet though. The restrooms are just as luxurious as everything else. There are big armchairs for those only wanting a coffee or a dessert (but I suggest a good meal rather than their sweets)

From the moment we arrived in the region we could see the castle for miles. Set up on a large hill the view is amazing at all four corners of the castle. On arrival into the reception our bags were collected from the car by the concierge, the receptionist who spoke excellent English offered us prosecco or juice while we checked in. We were then shown to our room which was fabulous to say the least. The castle is newly renovated and opened in 2016 and this is evident in the condition of the rooms and public areas. To say our suite was excusite is an understatement. The bedroom which gave an almost 360 degree view of the area was out of this world. The wellness centre was beautiful with the usual sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and pool. There is massage available on request.

Breakfast was delightful, both continental and cooked are available and come included in the price. We had dinner in the hotel with family and this is also very well priced considering the quality of the establishment.

One or two points annoyed me, the ST. Nichlaus Bar and the rooftoplounge are closed for the winter. We were not supplied with this information until we went enquiring. Also the hotel shuts down at 22.00 except for room service.

To conclude, this is a fantastic hotel, the quality of the facilities and service and manners of staff are second to none

This castle hotel was a stunning place to stay, a beautiful venue with a number of discrete and impressive areas - the atrium restaurant, the cellar bar, the spa centre. The rooms were beautiful, the views gorgeous, and the gardens quite pretty. The room was large with a comfortable bed, and we had a nice view out of a small window. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which were both delicious and nice wine was available. I had a massage and used the sauna which were both excellent (very firm massage). Excellent service, wish we could have stayed longer.

We first visited the Castle Park below the main building, a hidden treasure with fishing piers, boating, tennis, buffet bar, sunbathing beach, children’s play area, heliport and more. Pity it is not promoted more at the castle. Then went to the main castle building to recover after climb back up.
We only used the restaurant as previous. The food is of the highest quality, matched by the prices, probably the most expensive in Central Slovakia.
The building is a must visit if only to admire the no expense spared reconstruction work. In more than 60 years of world travel I have yet to see any other building to match the decor of this superb building.
I have heard that it was dirty money from abroad that paid for reconstruction, still how the money arrived can’t detract from the end result.
Service and staff in the restaurant were A1, without any complaint.
Make a point of visiting sometime whenever in the area.
The hotel looks to be a superb experience but living so close we haven’t found a reason to stay overnight.

We stayed here in September 2021 for 2 nights. The hotel is very nicely renovated, as well as the park around it. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast could have been a bit more extended given that it is a 4 star hotel.

Our main problem with this place is that there was a wedding taking place the second evening we stayed there. We were not informed about this in advance. Due to the layout of the hotel, with the wedding taking place in the covered courtyard, and all rooms surround the courtyard, it was impossible to sleep until the wedding party was finally over. The staff did little to help us, apart from argue for a good 15 min that it isn't possible we were not informed. (After going through our booking they eventually concluded that we were indeed not informed).

If I spend this much on a hotel, I expect a decent night rest. If you can't guarantee that, then don't rent out rooms when you have a party or wedding!

We thank Galicia Nueva Castle Hotel for an incredible unrepeatable experience - our wedding. Everything was excellent. Food, accommodation, castle premises and willingness of the whole staff.
I would especially highlight the work of the wedding manager Mrs. Lepiešová. She was very helpful during the entire wedding preparations.
Thank you for everything, I have no other words. :)

Sincerely

Pamela & Igor Klinčákovci

The nicest castle hotel we ever visited, the hotel is very nice, all staff is great and very friendly. The rooms are like we went back in time but with all futures for 4 star hotel. Everything is perfect there and this is place that you must visit while in Slovakia. The food was also very good and tasty.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and have a very pleasant armosphare.

Deluxe rooms have different styles. Ours was called Antal Forgach, was in a renessaince style, was beautifully furnished and decorated and spacey (over 70m2). Elegant bathroom was basically in the middle of the room, separating it into three joined-yet-separate parts (which means partner can go to sleep earlier or watch a separate TV). Rooms were tidy.

The staff was very polite, professional and accomodating. Don't expect breakfast variety seen in big hotels but selection was good for hotel of this size (including sparkling wine and fresh juice) and the food was high-quality and tasty. Restaurant food the same. Like other staff, waiters were professional.

There was live piano during Saturday lunch (and later in the afternoon), which contributed to the pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. Guests could enjoy pleasant music in restaurant, atrium and corridors also at other times. Besides restaurant tables, there are also comfortable 'coffee/drink' tables in the beautiful atrium.

Wellness was a bit smallish, which was maybe the only thing where the hotel lagged a bit. There is one pool of adequate size, one small whirlpool, Finnish and steam sauna (the latter could have been a little hotter). Wellness beds were at their full capacity on Saturday. We also tried massages, which were very good.

Hotel is on the hill and there is a nice view in good weather.

All in all, we had a very pleasant weekend.

Visited for lunch with wife, daughter and grandson. When we arrived all tables were reserved, however the head waiter seated us with menus while they cleared a table for us. This is probably the most expensive restaurant in this area of Slovakia but the quality of the menu and food justifies the pricing. I had the rack of lamb, it was exceptional. Wife and daughter chose a pork dish, panenka in Slovak, one of the best cuts of pork. Grandson had a chicken dish. Dessert choice was extensive and creative.
I most highly recommend eating at this hotel restaurant.
