Surprised to read the previous critical review as we all really enjoyed our latest visit to Les Fregates and have already booked again for early summer. The rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Enjoyed a really great meal on the Saturday night, great service and food even though the place was very busy.

Visited this hotel many times over 35 years, sometimes with the family but mostly as a couple. The hotel has undergone renovation over the years and the rooms, although small are now clean, modern and comfortable; the location and sea views are wonderful. The standard of food has inevitably varied during this time but until now we have never before...

We were delighted to return after several years absence after being told that new management had refurbished the place and also provided a couple of accessible rooms on the ground floor. We weren't disappointed, the new rooms were super and the bar and restaurant were lively and friendly. Nice menu with good value set menus as well as a la...

Have eaten here a few times - bad, good, bad - very uneven quality. Desk staff indifferent to complaints last time. But what's really off-putting applies to all the outdoor restaurant tables along the entire Veulettes seafront: they're surrounded by dog dirt. Veulettes, an otherwise cute little resort, must be one of the dirtiest in France in this respect. The...

had a room with a balcony overlooking a bay. White cliffs either side of bay. late Sept so very quiet. Hotel very clean and well equipped. Restaurant food was rather disappointing but 3 little places close to which were excellent.

We travelled here after a week in Picardy, booked after reviews on here. Always a worry but nope. Wonderful place. Setting ideal, decor and recent upgrades fantastic. Restaurant was packed and a step above the rest. Friendly staff and manager. Made to feel welcome. V few English here...is it undiscovered? Had a fab 10K run too from here up the...

Located almost on the beach and with extraordinary view of the sea, Les Fregates and the beach of Veulettes-sur-mer is a hidden gem along the coast of Normandy. The standard rooms (rooms with balcony are available as well!) are small but perfectly fine, wifi is working and all the staff is very friendly. If you dare to get a little...

We stayed here almost by accident, without a reservation we were heading for the other hotel in Veulettes, and then thought Les Fregates looked nicer as we drove past, so we stopped in for Dinner and decided to book a room, everything was great. Dinner was sublime, we had spent the previous night at the Royale Barriere in Deauville, and...

Stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean but there was mould around the bath and the window was rotten. Slept well and the bed was ok. Ate in the restaurant. Very good value Plat de Jour and very busy at lunchtime. Now for the but - Flies! Even at the end of October, flies in the restaurant. I don't...

We had a little difficulty finding the road as we travelled along the coast but it was an interesting find. It is a little French village on the sea where they have a good promenade to walk along. The staff were nice and we had a nice room overlooking the sea. The only problem is there is no lift but...
