Learned that B & B's in Europe are not obviously signed however directions were good and Andre made us welcome offering a drink and cake. He was friendly, happy to chat and proved helpful in getting to know the area. Our room was very simply furnished but adequate. Great location for war Ieper and war graves.

Andre welcomed us on our arrival with drinks and cake. He is a wealth of knowledge and would offer advice on what best to see and do. The B&B was immaculate with parking outside. This is our second stay at Amaryllis in 2 years. We are Australians interested in WW1 history and found it to be a perfect location for those wishing to explore the western front around Ypres without the traffic and parking problems. You can walk to the excellent Passhaendale museum as well as to the supermarket, food shops and cafes. Breakfast...

Four of us stayed with Andre for 4 nights in his super 2 ensuite bedrooms from Sep 9-13 2015. We enjoyed mostly sunny weather throughout our stay and Zonnebeke and Amaryllis provided an ideally located central base from which to visit the many well kept museums, cemeteries and memorials in the Ypres Salient. Together these helped us gain some understanding...

We stayed with Andre, a fantastic host and wealth of information on the WWI battle sites. Excellent breakfast(way too much food!) and Andre was so helpful in advising places to go. The town of Zonnebeke is quite sleepy but so central it was easy to get to the many villages and monuments in Flanders. A great place to stay and...
