First of all, the receptionist is one ignorant guy who doesn’t know that couples are welcome in the hotel if they have id of different state or country. Secondly, I think he has syndrome of couple phobia and does not even care if you stay or leave. I am a Buddhist and since I know this hotel is run to help a monastery, I wanted to contribute in some ways but really got offended by the receptionist. Lastly, every hotel receptionist has a duty to talk properly to the customer when they show up at the doorstep, but instead of evaluating the entire situation, without listening he just kept saying no. I hope the monastery staff will take this into consideration. P.s I am an old guest of this hotel.
Nice hotel with good view from the balcony. Service was ok and rooms were nice. Hot and cold water, LCD TV available. However their set-top box had only free channels. Food needs lot of improvement. It was booked by our travel agent on a packaged tour so I guess food provided to us wasn't up to the mark.
We are 3 Family stay there for one night, Room & food are good, View room have private balcony with excellent view recommend to stay either 201 to 205 or 301 to 305 room. Every room have LCD TV, Hot & Cold water. Staff are quite OK. Location in heart of the City Ravangla - Just opposite of hotel you get Medicine , Wine, Glossary, stationay shop with taxi stand within 100 meter.
We stayed here for one night. The rooms are clean but the bathroom had loads of mold in it ... pretty gross. There was hot water and the balcony has nice views over the valley. Service is pretty poor to non-existent even though the guys are nice. I wouldn't stay here for more than 1-2 days - Pelling is way nicer.
It is a clean, well maintained property, decent sized rooms with balcony. I got a good view from my balcony on 2nd floor. The menu offers a good variety but needs to be ordred well in advance. overall a good experince but the service can be improved.
