My father and I spent a couple of days at this resort and everything was perfect. The Diamond Club experience is unmatched. We had 2 personal butler who were amazing from the time we arrived. HASANI is the man! He is funny kind and took care of all our needs. The Vibe Team is great. Whitney on the vibe team is so kind and an amazing team member. She really got us into the activities and interested in events on the resort. The resort is gorgeous and clean. I didn't see anything wrong with the grounds. Grenadian night dinner was great. There were local dishes and you were able to get a real feel for the Spice Island. Hasani, Kezia, & Whitney thank you for making our stay wonderful, you just don't know what that means to us. We will be back.
Before I start our review of the resort, I feel compelled to share a most wonderful experience . . . . We had the pleasure of meeting, and enjoying the musical talents of Bryan Zaldivar Aldama - - an extremely talented young musician working at the resort, who entertained us 4 nights on his Yamaha keyboard. His playlist was impressive, both in quantity and variety of songs. But the most amazing thing was his ability to play requests. Some of the songs guests requested, he had never even heard before. But within 3 minutes of pulling up the song on his iPhone, he played their requests as if they were a regular part of his playlist!! Using his tiny iPhone screen, he played them perfectly - - even adding his own embellishments as he went along. We were totally blown away!! Okay, now I can start reviewing the actual resort. Please keep in mind that 1. these are just our personal opinions and 2. the resort was probably less than half full when we visited. We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay, Wed. Nov. 3-10, 2021. Everyone we met (staff and travellers) were wonderful. We felt very well cared for, and the staff seemed happy in their various roles. The resort is not huge, so we never were far from anything. It seemed we could walk to everything in 5-10 minutes. ROOM: Our room was in Building 15, number 209. Second floor of a three-storey building. If negotiating stairs is an issue, keep in mind, there are no elevators. We had an amazing view and could relax to the ocean sounds. Other than nature, we did not hear another sound all week. Our air conditioning, plumbing, safe, mini fridge worked perfectly for our entire stay. BEACH: Because we love to snorkel, we were happy with all the “rocky” areas, knowing that “rocky” meant “coral” and that “coral” meant fish! But there were a few areas that swimmers could negotiate through sandy paths. But water shoes would make it safer for sure. There were always lots of beach lounge chairs available. There were times when we felt we practically had the beach to ourselves. When the sun shifted, we would just move to a different chair, rather than drag our current chair to a better location! SNORKELING: Although we have had better snorkelling locations, we were happy with the quantity and variety of ocean life we had the privilege to observe on a daily basis, whenever we felt like it. We enjoyed an excursion with EcoDive (arranged right at the resort, at the water centre down on the beach.) We went to The Underwater Sculpture Park and Flamingo Bay. The boat conveniently picked us up at, and delivered us right back to the beach. The Underwater Sculpture Park was very interesting, but difficult to appreciate for “surface-snorkelers” like us that don’t dive down. The sculptures were probably 15-20 deep. (But we spent some time on the internet that night and saw some amazing pics taken by underwater divers.) Flamingo Bay had some good offerings, the water was very clear and not too deep. We enjoyed the shoreline tour on the way home where the Captain and guide shared information about their country. POOLS: Both pools were clean and lots of loungers available. The pool near the Diamond Club is an infinity pool with a swim up bar, music and activities. The elevated pool at the other end of the resort, was very peaceful. GROUNDS: The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. So many bushes with colourful blossoms decorated the concrete pathway that meanders through the resort. ENTERTAINMENT: As you read at the very beginning, we were royally impressed with the Resort’s pianist, Bryan Zaldivar Aldama. The rest of the entertainment was okay, except for the Fire Dancers - - not good at all. FOOD: We enjoyed most of our meals and never went hungry, that’s for sure. The buffet selections were sometimes cool, and a few times not thoroughly cooked. We ate at all three la carte restaurants. Our favourite was the outdoor Grazie (Italian). However, Taj (Indian) and Ma Maison (French) were also good. Air conditioners are running on high, so take a cardigan if that bothers you. We had good service at all restaurants. We also enjoyed the 2 outdoor themed buffets. The chefs at the omelette station did an amazing job! I have never been able to walk right up to the station and order my omelette and have it cooked immediately. BARS: We never had to line up for drinks and found the choice of cocktails refreshing. The bartenders were pleasant and open to trying new concoctions. I know most resorts these days use syrups, but it would really take a resort to a five star rating if it used fresh fruit such as bananas, pineapple and strawberries. ACTIVITIES: I participated in 4 aquafit classes. And although I enjoyed them, they were only 20 minutes long . . . . barely a warm-up and cool down. I also felt like the leader just wasn’t into it. There were also lots of pool side activities, and assorted games, such as Connect Four, ping pong, large chess set on grass, ring toss, but we spent most of our time snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. SHOUT OUT TO STAFF: Since we enjoyed every staff member we met, I hate to do this, because I know I am forgetting some names, but I still want to recognize a few stand outs: Everyone at reception and bell boys who had to lug our very heavy suitcases up to and down from our second floor room. Swoonjay (lifeguard) who put up a flag and buoy right away when I told him about a large concrete block in the water right where people were snorkeling. DJ Fluffy was lots of fun. Dexton and Lizannie in the watersport area who were very patient as we tried to organize 6 people into a snorkel excursion. Carlson (Ninja) and Atonio (VibeTeam members) who tried, unsuccessfully, to keep up with my 64-year-old-self, on the dance floor!! (Nice try though, and your moves were impressive!!) Shawn (bartender extraordinaire) who helped me invent new tropical cocktails. And of course, Bryan on the piano!! Amazing pianist!! So talented!!…
Great walk with Kelso to Black sand Beach. Very informative. Genuinely nice guy. Also want to me Theresa …. Fabulous service with a smile on our Cabana Day. The food is great. Love the buffets!!!!! 💕💕💕
This resort is beautiful! Went to celebrate my son's birthday and the two of us had a blast. The food was great. Special shouts to Adrian and Chris! Never disappointed with our meals. The cleaning service, wait staff and bartenders were also amazing. Just to name a few of our favorites around the resort... Simon, Jovanna, Jaheim, Kerl, Akim, Shawn, Ronichelle, Whitney, Antonio, Prince, the other Shawn who drove us to & from when needed and so many more. Thank you!! There were daily activities and a theme every night. Seven days of total fun!
Gym is very clean and spacious and Kelson was very helpful and knowledagble! The rooms were also well maintained and spacious. Food options are extensive and the food is well made. My family and I enjoyed the service and our stay!
My favorite part of the day was doing aqua fit classes with Kelson! I was able to cool down in the main pool and make some room for lunch 😆😆. His energy was great for the duration of the class and his music playlist matched the vibe. I highly recommend the class.
This resort is gorgeous! Went with friends for a birthday trip. Butlers Koil and Kezia were friendly and attentive and went the extra mile, decorating my room and my room door! The food was delicious at the buffet AND at the soecialty restaurants! Activities were fun too. Would definitely go again! Only complaint - too many mosquitoes. They graciously sprayed our room after we complained but we were definitely bitten.
The hotel staff are professional and very accommodating. Service is always offered with a smile. A vast variety of entertainment including sports (yoga, gym classes, pool activities etc) run by an amazing instructor, Kelson. Quality of food is excellent.
Kelson did our yoga class and it was so relaxing. It was clear he knew what he was doing and I had a great class. However I would prefer if the routine was switched up as I returned the next day and it was the exact same - I would be more encouraged to come next week if it was different yoga poses/types each time!
Kelson was our fitness instructor, he is amazing, exercises were really good , We love him and we will back for him. If u ur are in the realtor you can try Jeremy Kelson . My Battler were amazing my bartender Kerl went beyond to please us.🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
