My family of 4 adults stayed in the charming Woodwells cottage while we attended a family wedding at owlpen in June 2014. The cottage was peaceful, well equipped , beds comfy and beautiful setting and we were blessed with perfect weather. The Mander family, Mary and Bella were welcoming and helpful. No internet connection which made the weekend even more...

I stayed in Marlin's End for a week with some friends to attend a wedding at the beautiful Owlpen Manor in June. I immediately felt totally at home in this 3 bedroom cottage with charming sitting and dining rooms, functional kitchen, bathroom and utility rooms and lovely bedrooms with views of the valley. The peaceful garden had a table for...

We stayed in Peter's Nest while attending a marvelous wedding on the grounds. It was like a time warp, what with the peace and tranquility of such stunningly beautiful area. The only connection I could get to the internet was within 30 feet of the office, and that made it so easy to unplug altogether! We were blessed with outstanding...

If you want to get away from the rat race then this is the place for you. A beautiful estate set in the Cotswolds. There are several cottages scattered about on the estate, we stayed in Peters Nest, perfect for two and a million miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Very friendly people on site and very...

We have just returned from a week in Woodwells cottage, situated on the Owlpen manor. My husband and I arrived at Owlpen for our honeymoon after a week in Paris. We are from Australia so the English countryside is something we just read about in Harry Potter novels and see on 'Escape to the Country'. We had both been dreaming...

A perfect stay in the Owlpen valley. We stayed in a lovely house called Woodwell, nestled in the woods with uninterrupted views across the valley. Owls hooting in the woods at night, and buzzards wheeling overhead by day. The house was cosy, the staff were warm, and Owlpen is well situated for exploring the south Costwolds, which have far fewer...

We rented all of the houses for my sisters wedding, the houses we stayed in (manor farm and overcourt) were beautiful, perfectly located for all the lost relatives!! The estate itself was perfect for our 2 dogs and 3 children who loved going on the endless walks in the muddy puddles. The houses themselves were clean and comfortable and accommodated all...

Our annual pilgrimage to Owlpen has just come to an end (sad face). This year we were accompanied by my mother and sister so stayed at Manor Farm. Even though the weather was on the dreich side of the scale it certainly didn't dampen the spirits. How could it? We have seen this wonderful place on crisp, sunny winter days,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer holiday cottages in this magical Cotswold valley, which has long been recognized as one of the most romantic places in England. Come and relax in our nine Cotswold holiday cottages which sleep from two to eight guests (38 in total for larger groups). The cottages range from listed buildings and farmhouses to small romantic one-bed woodland retreats and a studio apartment, so there is something for everyone! At the centre of this secluded Cotswold valley is Owlpen Manor house, a medieval manor house which is lived in by the Mander family, and is described as "the loveliest place in England". We manage all of the properties ourselves, and like to feel that our guests are coming to stay with us when they arrive in this perfect corner of the Cotswolds. ... more   less

“We stayed in Woodwells, which worked really well for our family - Mom, Dad, two young adult children. Both kids had rooms of their own, and having two bathrooms meant no waiting. The kitchen is well appointed which made cooking easy. Bring groceries because shopping is limited. We spent Christmas there and loved every minute of our stay.”
