I'm almost reluctant to give this treasure of a hotel a good review as I'm nervous it will become too popular and I won't be able to find a room. Ours was a late booking through an agent which I rarely do (Planet Africa Safaris - well worth using). The advent of Uber has made this home from home highly...

Stayed at the Clarendon hotel a couple of days ago. Amazing experience and great vibes. Probably one of the best hotel breakfast I Ever had where everything is homemade. The staff is brilliant and will get everything you need. Rooms and very spacious and very comfortable. Really amazing overall.

We spent three nights recently at The Clarendon. Very friendly and helpful staff and the venue is very well maintained. Due to road work, there was a morning where there wasn't any running water. But the moment we opened our rom door we found a letter from the hotel management and a huge bottle of water. When we had breakfast...

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our South Africa trip and this was the best of the lot. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and as others have said Emmy was fantastic. Emmy was 8 months pregnant and this seemed to have no effect on her bubbly personality and her willingness to help and advise at...

Great rooms, fantastic breakfast, lovely grounds but all this would be nothing without the fantastic Emmy who is the best manager any business owner could have - she runs it like it is her own ! Wonderful staff too - none of the staff can do enough for you. With peanut butter for breakfast.....what more could you want?

It was a pleasure to stay here with such an excellent service and personal care. Emmy is a huge asset - she, in particular, really made our stay special with all her help and advice. Every hospitality business that wants to succeed should have an Emmy!! Our room was spacious and elegant with good cupboard space, a huge comfortable bed,top...

Recommended by friends this was a little gem. We were bowled over by the incredibly helpful and polite staff and the quality of the whole experience. Breakfast was a flavoursome experience. The hotel is not far from the beach and Sea Point 'high street'. It is also a cheap taxi ride to the waterfront and central CT. We very much...

From the moment we walked in the door, Emmy and her team were nothing but hospitable and dutiful. Upon arrival they had some birthday cupcakes waiting for us and made us a fresh coffee. The first night they made the recommendation of eating at the Codfather, which didn't disappoint. Unfortunately I've forgotten our room number but we were in the...
