Rustic chateau in a very rural area of Normandy between Bayeux and Cherbourg. Will need a GPS to find this beautiful property which is a 9th century chateau and a working dairy farm. James and Marie are delightful host and hostess who are more than willing to help plan your visi

We stayed here during out time in Normandy and I cannot say enough good things about it! This is such a special place partly bc members of the foreign press stayed here at the time of D-Day, 1944! Walter Cronkite, Andy Rooney, there are pictures of them sitting at their typewrite

This B&B is really worth a visit if you are in Normandy. The host is very hospitable and friendly. The chateau is beautiful and with its history of both before and during WWII makes it special to stay in. The surroundings are beautiful and a perfect site to explore the sightseein

The Chateau is down a dirt road and it's a farm in farm country. You need good GPS to find it. The house (circa 1700?) and garden are lovely. You will go to bed hearing birds and wake up hearing birds. The Orangerie room is a perfect set-up for a family, with a larger main bed

As others have indicated, a wonderful old Chateau with lots of history and a most gracious host. We are just departing and felt compelled to add our endorsement. We agree with the well deserved praise and notes of strong points.

Thank you James for a wonderful experience. B

I would like to know how far it is to Omaha Beach? Also, how far to Mt. St. Michel? did you fin this Chateau too isolated?
I would like to reserve a room for 2 people for 2 nights, arriving on 15 June and departing on 17 June. Please let me know if you have a room and the price. Thank you. Jim Bender

"Make sure the room has the garden view. Anything else and you'll get the smell of the nearby cow shed straight in your room!"
"I think they are all probably excellent"
"Any of the rooms would be fine, the room on the end has additional bedroom if with a family."
"We had the room right above the dinning room and could receive wifi in our room."
"The room (L'Orangerie) had a double bed and a small ante room with another single bed. There was a second small room with a bed, but it was "closed" for some reason, but it had a lot of flies in it, anyway so we never went in there. It faced the entrance side of the house. The bathroom had a tub only with a handheld shower handle."
