Reenskaug Hotel lies at the heart of the small town of Drobak. Enjoying a Central location on the Oslofjord, the hotel has been a popular holiday spot for more than 100 years. Over the time, we have come to understand the importance of nurturing traditions and preserving what makes us distinctive. The result is a modern hotel that melds the old and the New beautifully. Drobak has developed into a rich art and Cultural environment, and is often described as one of the gems of the Oslofjord. Our hotel is situated in the centre of Drobak, within walking distance of all the towns amenities and attractions such as the Christmas House, The Newspaper Artists museum and a number of galleries. The Ferry to Oscarsborg Fortress is also just a short walk away. Moreover, it is just 20 minutes to Tusenfryd amusement park, and 10 minutes to Drobaks attractive 18- hole golf course. You will find everything you need here for an experienced-packed and relaxed stay- holiday and Conference alike. We look forward to seeing you!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very small room, no place to unpack, closet was dark with no light; too warm (and noisy if we opened the windows for ventilation), no black-out curtains—it stays light too long and early, no shelving in the bathroom for toiletries, etc. I suppose it's a European thing, but I'd love to have just a sheet to cover me on the bed, not a heavy comforter. I have the feeling we were given the worst room-type of the hotel.

A very cosy, family hotel in a fantastic environment, near to the sea. Excellent breakfast, delicious Norwegian food. Very professional staff, good chefs, nice waiters. Comfortable beds, cleanliness. Domestic swans. Thanks for everything.

I spent four excellent days last week in the Reenskaug Hotel. Perfect location, nice architecture, professional and very kind service. I enjoyed very much the breakfast with seafood, fruits and sweets, and the traditional mussel is one of the best foods I ever ate in my life. Thank you! Hopefully we meet again.

Excellent breakfast buffet but poor quality coffee from push button machine. Room was small andneeded updating. Windows had to be kept open for some fresh air at the cost of much noise from street traffic and construction at building across the alley. Furthermore, we were given a room above the kitchen and had to suffer through the odors of food cooking, in particular bacon frying at 5 AM.

This hotel had it all: a great staff who was very nice and serviceminded, a great room (our room had a view to the fjord), a very nice breakfast with fresh warm breads and rolls, lots of good food and fruits to choose from and it had a very nice location downtown, but still a little bit away from noise (you can hear some, but not much). And lots of charm!

Small hotel with the «family-run» feeling nicely located in Drøbak center. Clean room, comfortable beds. Breakfast was fresh, however the coffee machine was terrible. Warm and friendly staff adds to the score.

Business and team building event was held in Reenakaug hotel. Rooms are clean and nice, it’s off-season so wasn’t crowded. Food was awesome and service was superb. There is outside sitting area, some rooms with balcony and bar with loads of options. Even tho street is close,it’s quite place.

I have travelled all over the world and I will say that Hotel Reenskaug and Drobak is the best place in the world if you want to be in a small town near the big city with lots of things to do. Hotel Reenskaug is charming and comfortable. The people that work there give you the best service you can wish for and the Coffee and breakfast are heavenly good. You will not find a better town to visit, It was close to Oslo but without the cost and tourist trap issues of a big city. For what it is worth--Drobak is the best place in the world to visit. And Reenskaug is the hotel. Its a rave review from someone that normally doesn't write review.
