We stayed at Les Rossignols for my daughter's wedding in Assier. Lou and John were most welcoming and made us feel at home. Their house and garden is beautiful and, yes, you can hear the nightingales if there at the right time. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was excellent - matching the conversation and kindnesses we...

We arrived after a hard days cycling and in desperate need of somewhere to stay. John and Lou instantly made us feel at home and took us to the pool to cool down, before bringing us drinks to rehydrate and recover. Our room was delightful and tastefully furnished as indeed is the whole house. Our bikes were securely and safely...

Lou and John instantly made us feel comfortable in their home. They were welcoming, warm and very easy to talk to over dinner/during our stay. We ate at a few different restaurants during our vacation in the region, but our favorite place for fresh, well presented, and delicious food (and wine - thanks John!) was staying put and eating with...

We spent a couple of days at les Rossignols which came recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. John and Lou are very welcoming and the accommodation is superb. The location is excellent for exploring the delights of the Lot and Cele Valleys and John and Lou were extremely helpful with suggestions on places to visit as well...

We enjoyed a four night stay at Les Rossignols this summer and could easily have stayed there for the rest of the year! The rooms are comfortable, spotless and tastefully decorated and the welcome provided by John and Lou is second to none. Lou is a fantastic cook, John serves up a great local wine and the surroundings are idyllic....

If you are anywhere near the SW of France, don't miss out on this excellent B&B near Sonac. When we phoned, we were pleased to hear that the owners were English (our French not so good). As they cook regional recipes, we thought it was the ideal place to have dinner and we were not wrong...we were treated to a...

We decided to stay in Sonac on our way to Toulouse and only 20 mins or so off the A20 we found Les Rossignols. It was a very hot day and so we were delighted when we were shown first our (very clean) bedroom and then the (sparkling blue) pool, which we had all to ourselves... bliss. Our French isn't...

My partner and I had the good fortune to stay at this fantastic hotel whilst in the area visiting friends. We, plus two other couples, took up residence at Les Rossignols for two nights and all were bowled over by the charm of both the hotel and our generous hosts, Lou and John. The hotel itself was immaculate and well...

4 of us arrived at Les Rossignols to enjoy my cousin's 70th birthday and what a party we had courtesy of Lou and John. They prepared a wonderful meal and produced a cake and the wine flowed. We had such a good time and enjoyed playing boulle on the village green the next day. A lovely house and garden. The...

This was our second visit to Les Rossignols, and we initially booked for 2 nights, but were enjoying ourselves so much we decided to stay an extra night. Lou and John are great hosts, and make their guests feel very welcome. We ate with them twice, and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed our leisurely breakfasts accompanied by John's...
