This place is like 1989, the meals are not too bad, the drinks are very cold and after a very hot day on the road it's a welcome stop ! If you stay the night, the rooms furthest from the road aren't so bad, but no where near a modern standard you would expect. Very limited reception for phones, tablets...

Restaurant meal was quite good. In our unit the beds were comfortable and clean. When I turned on the bathroom light it smelled of electricity, so I immediately turned it off. Only one light in the unit was operational. Not all power points worked. The fridge froze everything overnight, so obviously needed repair. The units are in need of some...

I am really tired, having driven all day for the last 3 days, and at check in asked for a quiet room. The car park was almost empty and I didn't think this was an unreasonable request to make. Settled into my worn but how can you complain about it room, no more than half an hour passes before the...

Been up and down to Alice since the 60's. Glendambo was built as a stop between Pimba (Woomera) and Kingoonya Pub before Bon Bon and the Twins, then onto Coober Pedy. 50 years on, Glendambo is a nightmare and I wish the bitumen never happened.

Hello, I've read your "review" a few times and every time I can not ascertain anything constructive from it. The purpose of this site is to provide feed back on customer experience. You have just stated the Glendambo "is a nightmare" Are you reviewing the Hotel, the Shell, or BP service station, or just the whole town in general? Did...

I last stayed over at Woody's in 1986 - it was at it's peak - earning much deserved State Tourism Awards - all freshly painted and clean, friendly staff and brand new Boy - how things can change - in 30 years I doubt if little has been done except clear out the money from the cash registers We just...

Hello and thank you for your review. Yes a lot has changed in 30 years, so let me begin by addressing a few of your points: 1/ Arriving late for dinner: we cannot keep our kitchen staff standing around doing nothing but wait for people who arrive late in the night, our preferred option is to look after our customers...

Staff were great! Rooms are not! So much general maintenance that needs to be done! No fire alarm. Curtains ripped. Dusty behind beds (yes, we do check when you have two asthmatic people in your family), & so on.

We arrived late in the evening after a long day on the road, we stayed in a 'standard' room which was perfect for what we needed - comfortable bed, fridge and hot shower. Even though there was other guests in rooms next door it was still quiet. The hotel is impressive and full of history and things to look at....

Considering this is in the middle of a very harsh environment the standard is good. Lovely expected welcome from staff who make the stay as comfy as possible. Lovely airy restaurant attached to nearby cabins. Watch out for critters and keep door to cabin closed as much as possible. Second visit here Well done to the staff.
