We spent 4 days at Demeure de Flore, as a base to explore the region. The hotel is set in a house which has been renovated with a lot of care and attention. It is relaxing and peaceful. The owner is friendly, courteous and attentive. My only small comment is that the swimming pool and gardens perhaps could benefit from... More

Anything but a 5 star rating for this fantastic place is a joke. Francesco cooked a set menu for us consisting of the best ravioli I've ever tasted, a delicious sea bream and a perfect tiramisu to end it. I think the key to the success was his family produced olive oil brought from Italy witch was nothing but amazing!... More

A beautiful house with interesting decor in the dining room. On the main road but ser well back made it a convenient location for part of our walking holiday. Francesco sets the menu for the day but readily offers alternatives if needed. Menu and wines not cheap but quality second to none. A welcome change from the average French hotel.... More

What an impressive hotel! We stopped here for the night as part of our motorbike ride across France and Spain. Francesco's efforts to restore the building have really paid off, it's a lovely and peaceful place to stay. Our room was spacious and right next to the car park, meaning we didn't have to carry our motorbike panniers far. The... More

Beautifully restored old house and gardens, full of Italianate features, run by a very friendly Italian owner. Comfortable toom and excellent set-menu dinner, with wines to match in their elegant dining-room. The owners were very helpful with my bike and a very early start (providing a breakfast tray the night before). Not much to see in Lacabarede but the hotel... More

Excellent accomodation. Charming staff. Well kept gardens. Spacious, well appointed, comfortable rooms. Meals expensive, I would rather have the choice of a one or two course meal than a fixed three course meal for €38. Small swimming pool neaded cleaning.

The service and dining experience are unmatched. I spent 5 weeks in the area and never found cuisine that quite measured up to Demeure de Flore. A wonderful experience. And the owner is meticulous having thought out every detail of his guests' stay. It is a truly authentic French experience.

Well appointed room with wonderful uninterrupted views to the Montaigne Noir. Dinner was beautifully presented using locally sourced produce. Chef/owner, Francesco, is clearly proud of his hotel and this is reflected in the attention to detail shown during our stay.

I have been to Demeure de flore already many times and I always like to come back. It is a pleasure to enjoy delicious creations of Francesco di Bari and to have a little chat with him about anything. This place has a real relaxing atmosphere. Food is excellent, service even better. Rooms are nice and clean, garden and park... More

A brief but very enjoyable stay at Lacabarede whilst drining from Provence to the Pyrennees. Compact but comfortable room. Highlight was the dinner - very very good, the highlight of my stay. Another purpose was to ride my bicycle for which the locale was excellent.
