Must Visit Place in Bekal. Very Beautifully Built with Spacious Rooms & Huge Jacuzzi in All Rooms Lalit Bekal is One Of Kind Property. Spread Across 26 Acres with Backwaters & Private Beach It was a Wonderful Combo all Together. Kayaking is Something you should Not Miss At This place. We had a Stay Here for 2 Nights & It was All Worth It. We Drove From Bangalore & It took Us 8 Hrs to reach Via Mysor - Kushalnagar - Bekal. Roads Are Good & Altogether a Different Experience.
Beautiful place great ambience. Very welcoming staff. Personal attention by the staff is really great. Great place for a getaway from hustle and bustle of the cities. Highly recommended but mind you i am a complete novice in such matters ;)
We travelled to Lalit Bekal in July 2021, the property is just superb but they just dont have the staff to serve the guests. We were there for 3 days and we had to eat the same food for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. When we complained the hotel people looked helpless and said that we are managing the property with 40 staff vs 125 staff at the peak. At the restaurant Neeraj served us well and to the best of his effort but he was the only guy to serve us. This is not the service we expect when we are charged at 5 star rates
2 star's for a claimed 5 star property or the Hotel for Interns Has the potential to be 5 star but unfortunately operating below 3 star standards. I stayed there for three night from 22.08.2021 to 25.08.2021. We were two families. The other family checked in on the 23.08.2021 First I would like to tell about the things I liked at the resort and then the things they need to work on to get to good standards. 1. The best thing about the resort is Mr. Joy...I do not know his designation but he is the one who helped me with reservations & check in process. He even helped us with the early check in. 2. The spa service there is excellent one of the reason you atleast got a 2 3. The destination is a photo Op paradise. (But there is flip side to it) Now coming to the bad sides. 1. The minute you enter the facility you will realize there is some thing wrong.....felt like that no one other than Joy was bothered with what was happening...that's when I started asking the staff about their experience...casually...to my utter shock almost everyone I spoke to told me that they where doing their internship and that they are hotel management students(its normal to engage interns but the numbers here I felt exceeded the resident staff..) when you are paying 16,000 per night you are expecting better service than this. 2. Communication issue....I prefer speaking either malayalam or English....majority of the staff here were hindi speaking(which I am not very fluent in) so even when you speak to them in English they were replying in Hindi(this would have been fine in a hindi speaking state. Here in kerala we speak only malayalam). Kindly look into this seriously. 3. Upkeep of the property & room is the most urgent need of theirs....other than interns & staff every thing is either outdated or broken. I have added some photos...can upload all the photos as it would be literally impossible to do it. So you photos can look bad at times. 4. Food & restaurant was a nightmare...yes I was informed that there wouldn't be Chinese & tandoori in the menu....but I wasn't informed that only north Indian food will be available & in that only half the items would be available as the pastry chef is the stand by chef....who didn't even know how to fry chicken & that it would take minimum 75 minutes to serve (could under stand if it was busy season but when enquired they had only 7 to 8 rooms occupied & at any point we visited the restaurant not more than two tables were occupied .....mostly it was empty. For breakfast when I ordered dosa...when they finally got the dose after 1 & half hours they did not bring sambar along with it...after asking for it by the time I got that is after 30min I had finished my dosa....I had got a dosa for my driver well... & they charged apprx Rs 600 for a dosa without sambar. So humble request to the resort is to get their act together and get things done in a professional manner and do justice to the amount they are charging for their services. & I am still at the resort when I am writing this review…
