The views here are breathtaking if you don't mind being a little bit outside Kandy, which was fine for us as the town itself is hectic. The service and staff were very nice, but the food was overpriced and not the best we had in Sri Lanka at all. However, the rooms need some attention and don't be fooled by...

A lovely hotel with fantastic views all around. Sun sets were amazing and being in or above the clouds was great too. Food was fabulous too. A wonderfully relaxing place to stay. Enjoy the winding roads up in a small car or tuk tuk.

It's hard to argue with the notion that the view from the Amaya Hills is the best in Kandy! From sunrise to sunset the vistas are awe inspiring. During my girlfriend and I's 2 night stay we also got to see thunder storms, which were spectacular from the balcony of our room. The breakfast and dinner buffets were what you...

Very warm, friendly & informative welcome. Excellent facilities all round. Breathtaking views & scenery. Positive, peaceful ambience. Very spacious rooms with welcoming pictures, bedding & facilities. Full scale gym. Excellent ayurvedic centre & facilities. Pristine gardens. Delicious food...many varieties. Amazing huge pool overlooking the mountains in the far background & the city of Kandy in the foreground. Great ensuite.

It looks lovely from the photos but the rooms were pretty average. The bathroom needed a refurb, was tiny, and stunk of sewage all the time. The buffet was quite good. Some of the staff were lovely and friendly but some were pretty grumpy. Glad we only stayed there 2 nights as a stopover in Kandy but would've preferred 1...

A one night stay at this stylish hotel, with incredible views over Kandy. The staff are attentive, helpful and very well dressed. The food does not quite match up to expectation however, on arrival we had a rather tasteless club sandwich with an expensive gin & tonic. The breakfast included everything you could think of from a Continental, full English...

A place with full of history and classy. According to what we heard the hotel has built to resemble an antient Sinhalese palace. Thus they don't have a lift and guests and room boys have to carry their baggage on steps. This is an echo friendly hotel and you might encounter non harmful insects in your room. Food was alright...

Good hotel although it could do with a face lift (a bit dated). Food varied and generally of a good standard. It would appear that the hotel is generally used for short stay guests which is just as well because when we where there, you couldn't get a sun bed for love nor money.
