The hotel was lovely. My partner and myself only stayed for one night, but the staff were all very friendly and welcoming doing everything they could to make our short stay more enjoyable. We were blown away by how picturesque the hotel was. We would happily stay here again.

Stayed for 1 night in the superior double room, and mine had the garden-facing window as well which is always a bonus on a sunny spring day! One negative is that the shower temperature handle was stuck, but reception responded quickly to me and because it was late I used the bath instead. Oh and food was the restaurant was...

As a frequent business traveller with a budget of £125-£150 to spend per night (excluding dinner) I am lucky enough to stay in some pretty nice three and four star hotels. I tend to avoid the chains and use independent establishments as the service and food are usually better. Many do a good job but very few get it all...

I stayed here for 2 nights on business. It is a very attractive hotel. Unfortunately the only room I could get was £170 per night whether for 1 or 2 people. On arrival one is expected to pay the whole bill upfront which I find a bit bizarre when you can run up a large bill in the bar/restaurant. The...

Went here for a wedding and stayed over 2 nights so could have a drink. The room was amazing and the bed really comfortable. We ate here for the whole weekend and couldn't fault it. Great breakfast and really relaxed and friendly restaurant.

I was a bit sceptical before I arrived, as £50 for bed and breakfast on a Sunday night seemed ridiculously cheap, so I expected it to be a bit of a dump with terrible food and worse service. Nothing could have been further from the truth - this is OUTSTANDING value for a really delightful hotel in a beautiful setting...

Held our vow renewal here in the Orangery. Our day was well organised by both Becky on the run up and Shelley on the day. We had afternoon tea for our guests afterwards which was lovely. We had a fantastic day which all our family and friends enjoyed too. We stayed for one night and our room was large, comfortable...

Have visited here with friends/family for meals on several occasions. The menu is very tempting, allowing you to order just starters or a full dinner if you wish. The bar area is nice enough to have lunch in, but the restaurant which is open plan is beautiful with views out to the grounds. We love visiting here for the atmosphere....

Had never been at this time of day before, ie just after 5pm, but it was still warm and welcoming and by 6pm all seats were taken. relaxing atmosphere by a warm fire. Just right for a relaxing drink after work with a friend.

This is a great place to dine for lunch or dinner, wonderful décor, clean and welcoming and has a lovely area for drinks with friends. Lovely "smart casual" feel. I have not stayed here but it is now a favourite place to come for nibbles and drinks or a meal for a nice evening out, or even just a coffee...
