Beautiful Hotel, Room was fantastic overlooking the River with small balcony to sit out on sunny evening. Breakfast incredible as was every meal we had there, Dinner, Sunday Lunch, each meal was delicious. Had no complaints on any points, Staff wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Assisted us with booking bikes for a cycle along the canal. Will most definitely be back.

Went for dinner last night. Have eaten there numerous times before. Always top class … last night was the exception. Prices have gone up. Service has gone way down. Never asked was food ok. Got order wrong. Very bland steak sandwich. Not even a thank you or goodbye when we left. Won’t be back

Purports to be a 4 Star eatery + prices at: Steak sandwich (6oz) @ €18.95 & a Sirloin steak (10. Oz) @ €28.95 you'd expect some quality. So hungry & tired that I did not complain. You need a new chef.

Myself and my partner went in for dinner in the restaurant. We were seated quickly and member of staff who seated us and took our order was polite but not very friendly. When we received our drinks and food however, the waiter had practically thrown the food at us. He was rude and had no manners at all. Did not ask if we were okay for anything else, no attempt to look at us or make any effort to be polite towards us whatsoever. My partner's dish was bland and not very enjoyable, my dish was lovely and very flavourful, but for the price the portion size was not great. It is highly unlikely that we will be dining here again.

At E17.95 for Wagyu burger, i was expecting a nice juicy burger. However it was overdone, hard and obviously not freshly cooked. The Southern fried chicken which was on special was also overdone. The chips were fresh and tasty. We have eaten here before and now think this bar is going downhill. It was a handy stop when travelling but I wont be eating there again, When paying the bill the girl asked if everything was ok. I said the burger was overdone and got no apology or reply from her.

Found Keenan's within an hour of home as we just wanted a night away for a birthday dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed Keenan's, the cosy seating beside the fire, the tasty food and very hospitable staff. Beautifully decorated and very clean double room with extremely comfortable bed. Freshly cooked breakfast in a quite location upstairs. Highly recommend if you want a stay over or just a stop off for food. Will definitely be returning.

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights in January. We were met by Annette on arrival who was so nice in showing us around the hotel and to our room. When we went to the bar we met Barry, Annette’s husband had a warm welcome and lovely conversation. We had food on both nights and the service was excellent. The room was fab and we had a beautiful view of the river, bed was extremely comfortable. Overall it has a lovely warm family feeling from Annette, Barry, David and staff. We both look forward to our next stay at Keenan’s.

Dropped in here on route back from Dublin for Sunday dinner, we were met by a lovely waiter who offered us bar or table locations for dining. We both had roast beef meals with the trimming. Excellent flavours, perfect portion sizes and a great view of the TV for watching the rugby. Perfect place to stop for re-fueling and breaking up a long trip.
