Rooms were bigger than normal and clean. Pool was great and highlight for my kids. The food was also very delicious, it included many local dishes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were local shows most nights.

We've stayed at Rex hotels in Antigua and (many times) in St Lucia so know what to expect - usually a 70s-built building in a prime beachside location, providing basic adequate accommodation and tasty buffet meals, and supported by helpful friendly staff. That's what we found here in Tobago too, but in many ways this hotel is the best of...

You have to remember this is a 3 star hotel, and in that respect it delivers. If you are looking for 5 star luxury with all the added little touches, plus excellent accommodation and service, then this is possibly not the place for you. Having said that, we have just come back from a really great two weeks of lazing...

The manager and his staff are lovely friendly people and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a good experience. The whole ambiance is very relaxed. Although the buildings are quite old they are continually being refurbished, our room had just had a complete upgrade and was superb. We were situated 2/3...

Was in Trinidad for business and made a trip over to Tobago for some R&R for a couple of days. Review a few of the options on TripAdvisor before selecting this property. Cost was reasonable and it was all inclusive so we thought we would give it a try. Location is great, about 15 minutes from the airport and the...

First of all I would like to say that I have stayed at the Rex Resort many times in the past, now when I was there they had lush tropical gardens which they removed part off to expand the pool area, which I guess is fare enough, but kind of a shame as I enjoyed walking around the palm fringed...

We were in the Caribbean for a wedding (in Barbados) and decided to spend a week in Tobago. The hotel is a little bit tired/dated in places but nicely laid out and very clean and tidy. Our room was spacious with good, effective air conditioning, and a beautiful view of the beach. The staff were all very helpful and friendly...

I actually visited here in 2013, but the option wouldnt let me go back that far! Tobago was amazing. Definitely go and explore the island! Highlight by far was seeing a female leatherback lay her eggs. It was one of the best things ever. And this hotel is right on one of the beaches they nest. It isnt what you...

I want to start this review by saying I think all the bad reviews on here are by those who have NOT been to the Caribbean before and do NOT know that's all you're gonna get in the Caribbean unless you pay a lot of money.. You do NOT get luxury unless you pay for it!! Fantastic hotel. Fantastic staff....
