The experience is mixed. The place is wonderful, beautiful, picturesque, the territory is well maintained, impressively scaled Lake Janisjärvi. The road to the asphalt complex, no problem. Be careful on the beach to rent the building Atlantic, an eco-hotel 15 minutes away in the territory of the Karelian Zoo. We lived in an eco-hotel, the rooms are fresh enough, the cleaning is quality, the furniture is free of defects, the plumbing is in decent condition. The room is small but cozy. Zoo view, no smell, no noise. Zoo delight, healthy, fed animals, grounds for a few days of exciting outdoor promenades. Swimming pool with a depth of up to 3 meters, well booked time and were completely alone, there is a Jacuzzi. The staff are friendly. From the downside, spooky breakfasts consisting of sausages and an omelette EVERY DAY, don't take the breakfast room, better go to the wonderful Saari restaurant, it's top class, more expensive, but choice for all tastes. I don't think a proper buffet breakfast would be expensive for a complex of this size, but that's the level the Black Stones need! The nearest store is 30 minutes away. In general, I advise, but on my next trip to Karelia, I will choose another place.

I visited the base last year, in the summer. The impressions are the most pleasant. I still remember the incredible sunrise and sunset views over the water of the lake, the amazingly fresh air and closeness to nature.
We lived with friends in a cottage on the 6th. There were no complaints about the arrangement of the cottages - clean bed sheets, sets of towels, disposable slippers and even toothbrushes with toothpaste (I couldn’t help but please, since some of our company forgot this incredibly important hygiene tool). The interior is made of wood, you feel very cozy, especially in the evenings when you go out onto the veranda and sit with a cup of tea.
Among the entertainments at the base, we especially liked the spa complex (there were more girls in the group, where else could we go to the spa)), the guys rode boats and even fished. You could rent a gazebo for barbecuing, or visit a panoramic restaurant on the lake. We went there for breakfast: stylish, tasty, beautiful. The staff is polite, neat, smiling. It’s even somehow unusual after many establishments in a big city.
I plan to celebrate my birthday at the base this year. The place is filled with some incredible, warm and soulful energy, you want to come back here. I have already advised everyone I could to visit the base, especially since the largest zoo in the North-West is located nearby, literally a couple of meters away - so it’s a shame for families not to go, the children will be delighted, and not only the children)

This is our fifth time coming to Black Stones. Overall a wonderful place to stay. It's nice to see how the base develops. I would like to point out a few things that could be improved. 1. Having closed the old Weeping Willow restaurant, you still should have kept its menu in the new one. To be honest, in the new Saari there is not much choice, and the style has become more like a show off. In Weeping Willow it was somehow more soulful: there was lard and bread, and potato pancakes with sour cream, and solyanka, and normal boiled potatoes with chicken breast (and not 2 spoons of mashed potatoes in a fancy plate)... Where is all this in Saari? In short, when there were fewer show-offs, it was better. 2. Something needs to be done about what is called a “gym.” There is obviously little demand for this service, but having an old wobbly bench press with foam coming out and a bar with an off center of gravity is a shame. A couple of new exercise machines are not so expensive that you need to save on it. Men should be able to lift iron while it's raining outside. Not everyone likes/knows how to hunt, fish, or drink beer and vodka. 3. There is not enough horizontal bar. It’s quite possible to dig in a couple of crossbars from Kangaroo Pro next to the playground. 4. Enclosures for small animals are very small. 10 rabbits cannot live on 3 square meters. Either we need to expand or not expand. 5. It would be a good idea to limit driving to the restaurant. It's not so far away that you can't walk there. We arrived, unloaded and headed to the parking lot. Let only official vehicles use the paths. There is already enough of it in the territory. Something like this. And I would like to wish the Black Stones to continue to develop.

A very nice hotel for the whole family! Comfortable and cozy room, plenty of entertainment for the child, huge area for relaxation, swimming pool, zoo, beautiful restaurant on the water, courteous staff. There are not enough “family meals” to feed a child after a day’s sleep or for dinner. Choice of dinner for three, thousands for 5, or for 1000 p in the dining room, but in fact not delicious, there is no alternative within a radius of 50 km. The nearest store is 40 minutes away. It is necessary to diversify the food system in the complex, open a small grocery store, and then this recreation center will be as autonomous as possible

I was at the base for the fifth time, but the first time in winter. The delights of summer are clear: fishing, sunsets, mushrooms...But how nice it turns out to be to get into a winter fairy tale! So warm and cozy! The paths are cleaned, the cottage has a decorated Christmas tree, the restaurant is warm and cozy. Very nice spa area with a large jacuzzi and a wonderful steam room. Here you can relax after a busy day of meetings. For meetings there is a specially equipped room where you can connect all laptops, normal Wi-Fi. A worthy summary of the year!

We rested with our family at your base. Wonderful place, cozy. Delicious cuisine in the Saari restaurant, service at the highest level, special thanks to the administrator Nastya, the waiter Veronica and all the other guys! The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, and 100% equipped. A wonderful zoo with a rich collection of animals! We liked it, we will definitely come again!

Expensive, but worth it. Very cool territory, gorgeous cottages, wonderful attitude of the staff, especially against the background of other hotels in Karelia in this price category, where they want to maximize you, here you also pay a lot, but understand what you pay for and it is worth it. Very beautiful lake, great Saari restaurant. Anyway, I want to get back here.

To our great regret, the base changed its vector of development towards mass service and its “soul and comfort” disappeared. For 14 years, our whole family went here 2-3 times a year. We celebrated New Year and birthdays here many times, brought friends and were confident in the high quality of our holiday. The changes of the last year (a new restaurant, complete oblivion of the pool area, a large outflow of kind and hospitable staff who worked here for years and made the “face” of the base) forced us to look for other vacation spots in Karelia. I have no desire to return here anymore.

Wonderful place!!! Service is 100% excellent. The equipment of the houses is excellent. Everything is stylized, you can look at every corner. The area has been treated for mosquitoes. The restaurant is delicious, the price tag is average, breakfast is included. We have been vacationing here for several years now and will definitely return.
