Discover the Fuerteventura Origo Mare resort, in the north of the second largest island of the Canary Islands. If it had to be summed up in two words, they would be water and fire. Water, of course, for its 150 km of beaches, but also for its vast aquatic space. Fire for its volcanic landscape, the sun that shines almost all year round, the warmth of the atmosphere and the large number of activities. Our resort is located in this protected environment, a paradise specially designed for holidays. The resort is divided into 5 zones, made up of villas with suites and studios. There are endless activities to do in and around the resort. Sports facilities include tennis and paddle tennis courts, a boules court and an 18-hole mini golf course. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing and many other activities are available at the Yolo Riders surf school. And those who prefer fresh water will have a great time at the Craterpark. This volcanic-themed aquatic area of 5000 m², of which 1000 m² are water areas, has it all: wave pool, slides, water tree and paddling pool. In addition, our heated pool reserved for adults is a haven of peace and quiet. The little ones can make friends and have fun in our clubs for children from 4 years old. It should also be noted that, for your convenience, the resort has two restaurants, two snack bars and a bar open all day long. There is algo a mini-market included in the village. Parking is posible on all the resort's exterior area. Pets under 25kg are welcome under an extra charge.

Great week had as a family of 4, 2 boys 7 & 10. The villas are spacious, clean (came in 3 times in the week) & on a large complex. Short walk to complex centre.Onsite Crater water park was great. Pools cold other than children's pool but once in its OK. Wave pool, slides for older and younger. Animation team have plenty going on day(games, yoga, aquafit, aquadance, cocktails, football, darts, ping pong etc)& night (quiz, animation team tribute show was brilliant, bingo, kids talent show, karaoke, pool and air hockey tables in the evening area), plus kids club if you want to use. Small arcade, sports bar. Karting onsite (€36 for the family for 1 hour) Great to head around the resort and down to the sea. 18 hole mini golf €5per club. Shop onsite pricey but fine for bits. Food is usual repetitive all inclusive but still reasonable options (fish, meat, veg, rice, pizza, burgers, nuggets, salad, bread, pasta, desserts, pastries). Gym small air conditioned with weights machines/bars/free weights/bench. Pool bar has icecream tubs, nuts, plain crisps as part of AI & sandwiches &additional pizzas/hotdogs at extra cost. It is remote but you can book the day before to go on the free bus to Correlejo (beaches/shopping mall/supermarket/bars/restaurants). The dunes &beach (the stop after Correlejo town) are amazing. The beach local has stones only. If its windy on your stay (we had 1/2 and 1/2, your shutters may rattle a little. Place towels/clothing between the shutters and doors and that seems to stop it. Staff were helpful and there's a QR code on the leaflet they give you on check in to take you to the app with event details. You can book excursions and watersports from the watersports centre or mini golf hut onsite. Drinks OK. Wine, beer and fruit juice in the restaurant and cocktails etc at the bar OK but you pay extra if you want the better brands. All in all don't worry about any bad reviews. You make it what you make it.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are thrilled to hear that you and your family had such an enjoyable week with us, finding the villas spacious and appreciating the cleanliness maintained by our dedicated housekeeping team. It's also wonderful to know that the Crater water park was a highlight and that our animation team's variety of activities added to your holiday fun. We regret to hear that you found the pools a bit colder than preferred. Our pools are maintained at a temperature that complies with Spanish regulations, ensuring they are comfortable for the majority of our guests throughout the year. Regarding the shutters, we are located in a naturally windy area, and while we strive to ensure the comfort of our guests, sometimes nature does have its way. We appreciate your resourceful solution and will consider ways to minimize this inconvenience in the future. Although our location offers a peaceful escape, we understand that it may be considered remote; hence, we provide a complimentary shuttle service to nearby towns for shopping and beaches, allowing our guests to explore the beautiful surroundings with ease. It is gratifying to learn that our staff's helpfulness stood out to you and that the ease of booking excursions and watersports activities enhanced your stay. While we acknowledge that tastes vary, we're pleased to offer a range of dining options to suit different preferences. We strive to provide a variety of quality drinks within our all-inclusive offering, and we're delighted that you seemed generally satisfied with the selection. At Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare, we are committed to delivering exceptional holiday experiences, and your insights are invaluable in this endeavor. Thank you once again for choosing us for your family holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

The reception area and main facilities are ok although we opted to go self catering so can’t comment on the food. The big problem was the accommodation which is tired and below what we expected. Cleaning happens every two days and as a result bin collection is not frequent enough so there are ants and cockroaches in the ‘villas’. Not all facilities open, paths cracked and crumbling, not all pools open and limited options on site. Fuerteventura is nice but I would avoid this resort and would definitely not stay here again.

Dear Marley, Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We're glad to hear that you found our reception area and facilities to be satisfactory. Our team works diligently to ensure these areas meet our guests' expectations. We are genuinely sorry to hear that the accommodation did not meet the high standards we strive to provide. Although housekeeping services are scheduled every fourth day, we are always ready to assist with any immediate needs our guests may have. In regards to the natural wildlife, being in such close proximity to nature sometimes presents challenges, but we strive to manage these proactively. We understand that the availability of facilities and the condition of the paths are crucial to the overall experience, and we consistently liaise with the municipality to address any public area maintenance issues. Regarding the pool availability, we want to clarify that all the pools described in our hotel information are currently operational, and we have a variety of pools suitable for different guest needs. We appreciate that having a range of on-site options is essential for an enjoyable stay, and we are continually seeking ways to enhance our guests' experience. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we hope to have the chance to welcome you again and improve your perception of our holiday village. We hope to hear from you soon. Very good hotel, staff are brilliant and very welcoming and food is great and the complex it’s self is outstanding with the adult only pool being my personal favourite facility overall However I am disappointed in the 200 euro deposit I had to pay upon arrival, was told I would receive it back within up to 8 days after checkout and it has now been nearly 2 weeks and I still haven’t received it

We have just spent a week here and the resort had something for everyone. The free bus into Corralejo twice a day was brilliant. The villa was very clean and the staff couldn’t do enough. The only negative was the footpaths. They are in really bad condition. As a mobility scooter user they were so bad that I had to ride on the road. We were self catering so I can’t comment on the food. You pay a €200 deposit on arrival and mine was back in my bank the morning after we got home.

First of all the resort is very isolated the walk to the nearest beach is long. There aren’t any bars or restaurants within walking distance outside of the resort. On the positive side the resort offers a shuttle to Corralejo which was great it’s a nice comfortable air conditioned coach. The staff were amazing so kind welcoming and friendly. The children loved the waterpark. The villa was fine nice bathroom. We were a party of 10 and the staff kindly put us 3 families close together we were 2 doors apart. My only downside was the buffet. I didn’t find it very hygienic. I saw children picking up the food smelling it close to their noses and putting it back. Loads were talking over the food. I saw children drop food then picking it up with their hands and tossing it back in the food. As well as scratching their bum inside their shorts then touching the spoons to serve the food. Personally I do not think young children should be allowed unsupervised at the buffet. Also by the self serve soft drink machine. You need to press your glass against the tap to release the drink. I saw kids take a drink taste it then put the same cup against the tap to get another drink. There’s an ice bucket for the drinks I saw children playing in the ice with their hands dropping the ice cubes on the floor then putting it back in the bucket. I think the buffet and drink area should be supervised. This resort was ok for a quick getaway but I would not stay here again.

Dear Bea, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are pleased to hear that our shuttle service to Corralejo was a highlight for you and that our staff made a positive impact on your stay. It is also delightful to know that the children thoroughly enjoyed the waterpark and that the villa accommodations met your expectations. We regret to hear your concerns regarding the buffet area and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We uphold strict food safety standards and will revisit our procedures to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests. The well-being of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. While we understand the resort's location provided a challenge, we hope the natural beauty of our ocean-side setting and the amenities within the village itself offered some compensation. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

We returned yesterday from a week’s stay here! We are a family of 7 - kids ages 12, 9, 5, and 2 yr old twins! We had a 3 bedroom villa that was clean with everything you would ever need (including a washing machine) for a self catering holiday - even though we booked as all inclusive! We rang a few days before to request a villa close to the resort if it was possible because of having the twin pushchair (after reading reviews of the dodgy pavements) which Tbf weren’t that bad really! This was granted and we were only a short walk away. The villa was survived once during the holiday - with fresh towels and bedding! It’s not a thorough clean like in a hotel but good enough. I would recommend spending the money to ‘hire’ towels for the pool as this is a one off payment and the towels can be changed as many times as needed through the stay for clean ones - great for €5 each. The pools are absolutely brilliant for the kids - all mine from aged 2yrs - 12yrs were loving the slides, climbing wall, wave machine and the younger kids slides and toddler pool. The lifeguards are very on it and make sure the kids are safe and following the rules - the bigger kids have to show they can swim independently to use the bigger slides - if not they need to wear a life vest. We took little wetsuits for the younger kids and glad we did as the pools can feel cold especially on a breezy day. The older two were fine and didn’t mind jumping in and out all day long. There’s an adult only pool that looked lovely and peaceful (we never had the luxury of using it 🤣). Food - it’s what you would expect for an all inclusive buffet restaurant - lots of choice of warm/hot food - the kids always found something they liked - usually chips, pasta, burgers, hotdogs. As adults there’s also always a choice of freshly cooked fish and meat (being cooked on a hot plate throughout the meal times), potatoes, salad, veg, and lots more. The puddings are always plentiful and breakfast was always really good - full English, cereals, continental breakie. Drinks weren’t branded - but good enough - help yourself to soft drinks, juices and water. I will say one thing that I was a bit disappointed with was the lack of choice for cocktails for all inclusive guests - you had to pay additionally for the nice cocktails you would normally expect to be included. Food was available from 8am until 9:30pm - either at the restaurant,or pool bar. Outside of meals times - sandwiches, crisps, donuts and ice cream was available at the pool bar. Hotdogs and pizza had to be paid for here, the pizza is very nice. One way to improve would be to allow all inclusive to eat in the addition restaurant once or twice during the stay like other resorts do. Location wise - you are in the middle of nowhere - but you normally know this when you book. There’s a free bus into Correljo everyday - it’s worth a ride out to go to the beach or a walk round the shops - if you aren’t all inclusive - you would definitely want to do this for a choice of restaurants and supermarkets to buy food - as the little shop on site is expensive but very convenient. Overall - this was fab holiday enjoyed by us all! We went just before the Easter hols started and it was lovely and quiet. It became very busy during the holidays so you need to be an early bird to get sunbeds. Please don’t be put off by the bad reviews - as I was a bit worried after reading these before we went! Oh and our £200 deposit has been returned already 👍

Dear Claire, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are delighted to hear that our family-friendly environment and the amenities of the villa met your expectations, providing a comfortable and well-equipped base for your self-catered holiday. It is wonderful to learn that your children enjoyed the variety of activities at our pool facilities, and that you recognized the diligence of our lifeguards in ensuring everyone's safety. Our adult-only pool area indeed offers a tranquil haven for relaxation, and we're glad you noticed it, even if you didn't get the chance to use it. We appreciate your feedback regarding the all-inclusive dining experience, particularly the variety of food options available and the convenience of having meals and snacks throughout the day. However, we regret to hear that the cocktail choices did not fully meet your expectations. Our goal is to provide a diverse range of quality beverages while maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves. The seclusion of our resort location is indeed part of its charm, and we're pleased you took advantage of our complimentary bus service to explore the local area and its offerings. Your insights regarding the all-inclusive package and the opportunity to dine at additional restaurants are valuable, and we will consider these suggestions as we continuously aim to enhance our guests' experiences. Lastly, we're relieved to know that the return of your deposit was swift and hope it reaffirms our commitment to transparent and efficient guest service. We look forward to welcoming you back. me, family and some friends decided to go to this beautiful resort. we went for 8 nights and 9 days, and if I could stay longer I would of. This resort is perfect for families with kids as they had loads of waterslides and pools to that are very safe and fun , breath taking entertainment for kids and adults , very clean villas that where very modern and the most amazing staff. The food wasn't the best but it could of been worse. This is my third time coming here and I cannot recommend this place enough and every time I go the better it gets.

Just got back yesterday from here, we went for my daughters 40th...10 of us, we had a brilliant time, when we got there our requests had been fulfilled, the villa was clean, tidy and the beds were fine, the studio next door was fine to...food was fine, my granddaughters are very fussy but found something every day... we upgraded to all-inclusive on arrival which I'm glad we did, it is out in the middle of nowhere, but we knew this when we booked... entertainment team where great, infact all staff were great , plenty of things to do ...the girls loved to go-carts.. the only negative I can give was the pools were freezing, it says the baby pool was heated, I'm prity sure it wasn't my great grandson was crying he was that cold... we just kept him out of it which was a shame he loves water....all in all I really enjoyed it.... if you have mobility problems I would suggest asking to be near complex, coz it could end up a fair treck....pity they don't have a little land train going round.....

Dear Mandy, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We're delighted to hear that your villa met your cleanliness standards and that we successfully fulfilled your accommodation requests. It's also gratifying to learn that the food was to your liking and that your decision to upgrade to all-inclusive enhanced your stay. We regret to hear about your experience with the pool temperature. While our children's pool is heated, we understand that individual comfort levels can vary and we will continue to monitor this closely. We appreciate your constructive feedback as it helps us maintain our high standards. Our team is thrilled to receive your compliments on their great service and entertaining activities, and we're glad that they contributed positively to your family's celebration. It's also wonderful to hear that the variety of activities provided enjoyable moments for all ages. We understand our unique location offers both tranquility and a natural setting, though it may not suit everyone. We aim to balance the serenity with accessibility, and our shuttle service is an effort to connect guests with nearby towns. We acknowledge the mobility challenges mentioned and appreciate your suggestion for a land train, which we'll consider for future improvements. We look forward to welcoming you back. My husband and I (both 60+) are just back last night from a fab 10 days in this resort. First thing I will say is it is remote so hiring a car is advisable. The resort itself was superb. We were looking for a quiet relaxing break where we could get the sun and totally unwind from the stresses of life and we found it here. Even though there were plenty of children around, the resort was quiet. We were fully self catering but did eat at both the buffet and the resteraunt on site and found the food lovely. The supermarket on site was expensive but there are plenty of other supermarkets in the surrounding areas that are more reasonably priced. In fairness we were also advised by the gentleman who checked us in to go elsewhere to shop for food. The adult only pool was a lovely area to relax and enjoy the sunshine and a dip... the only criticism I would have is that they could have a few more sun loungers and unbrellas around, but that's just nit picking. Though we didn't use the waterpark area, we both felt that it would be a fantastic place for our grandkids. The villa we stayed in (433) was superbly laid out and extremely clean and tidy when we arrived. We did have a small problem with the washing machine but once we mentioned it to the cleaners a new machine was installed the next morning. All in all we had such a good time here that neither of us wanted to leave, we will definately be booking a return visit.

We scored 3 stars mainly because our room was not serviced. We have stayed in one of the apartments for 5 days and on the 3rd day we contacted the reception in request for the bedroom to be service. I was advised they will be serviced on the 3rd day. We came back late night and this was the 3rd day but it was still not service so we contacted the reception again and was advised someone will be around very soon for the room to be service and it was like half 7pm. I asked the reception whether they can just give me the bed sheets and covers and I can do myself but they didn’t allow. So we had no choice to just stick with it. The whole experience of the hotel was really good like food and drinks. Location was remote but we rented a car so it was handy to drive around and explore the island and locals are absolute gem. The receptionist and room attendant really did let us down even though we paid €200 deposit on arrival and still not been returned.
