Discover the Fuerteventura Origo Mare resort, in the north of the second largest island of the Canary Islands. If it had to be summed up in two words, they would be water and fire. Water, of course, for its 150 km of beaches, but also for its vast aquatic space. Fire for its volcanic landscape, the sun that shines almost all year round, the warmth of the atmosphere and the large number of activities. Our resort is located in this protected environment, a paradise specially designed for holidays. The resort is divided into 5 zones, made up of villas with suites and studios. There are endless activities to do in and around the resort. Sports facilities include tennis and paddle tennis courts, a boules court and an 18-hole mini golf course. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing and many other activities are available at the Yolo Riders surf school. And those who prefer fresh water will have a great time at the Craterpark. This volcanic-themed aquatic area of 5000 m², of which 1000 m² are water areas, has it all: wave pool, slides, water tree and paddling pool. In addition, our heated pool reserved for adults is a haven of peace and quiet. The little ones can make friends and have fun in our clubs for children from 4 years old. It should also be noted that, for your convenience, the resort has two restaurants, two snack bars and a bar open all day long. There is algo a mini-market included in the village. Parking is posible on all the resort's exterior area. Pets under 25kg are welcome under an extra charge.

Nestled in a remote location, Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare Resort is often described as a family-friendly haven, though accessing towns and amenities typically requires a rental car, as some guests have pointed out. The hotel's amenities, including multiple pools and entertainment options, generally satisfy guests, yet there are mentions of potential enhancements. Staff interactions elicit mixed feelings, with reports of both commendable service and occasional rudeness.
Value perceptions are tainted by additional charges for on-site services. Room cleanliness receives kudos, but upkeep and maintenance call for attention, and the atmosphere is noted for its family orientation despite some repetitiveness in entertainment.

My son and I booked this as a last minute trip for my birthday. On arrival I was worried the resort was too remote and my 19 year old would be bored as the nearest town was 30minutes away but I was wrong. There was something for all ages. The entertainment is aimed at young family but we enjoyed it especially the big show on Sunday evening. The villa are clean, spacious and well equipped. All the staff from reception, bar and cleaners were friendly, helpful and work extremely hard to maintain a high standard in the resort. There are several activities to keep you entertained during the day/night. We were self catering and the shop in the resort is very expensive and does not have a good range but we used the free bus to town and then paid €28 euros for taxi back and purchased our groceries in the dino supermarket. We used the feee bus to Corralejo and spent a day there beside the beach on a different occasion. There is cleaning product, and equipment in the villa so there is no reason for the villa to be left messy and refund not refunded so don’t understand why people are complaining about this. I will most definitely go back to this resort but I think I would go all inclusive. We had a late flight so we paid extra so we could have a late check out which was a great additional extra. I did not mention to staff it was my birthday but they surprised me with a card and a voucher for a free cocktail, this small gesture really made me smile and was a lovely surprise. We paid a taxi into town for birthday drinks but we actually preferred the hotel entertainment than town. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated with ample seating areas, pool tables and a good choice of drinks at the bar.

Dear Guest, We greatly appreciate this review of your experience at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are delighted that you enjoyed the villa's cleanliness, our staff's friendliness, and the variety of activities available, ensuring there was something for all ages, including your son. It is great that our team's efforts helped maintain the high standards of the resort, contributing to a memorable birthday celebration for you. However, we acknowledge your concerns about the on-site shop's prices and selection. While we strive to offer convenience, we understand that self-catering guests may prefer shopping at larger supermarkets for a wider range and better value, and we're glad you could make use of the complimentary shuttle service to town. Nonetheless, we appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we continually work to enhance our guests' experiences. Finally, we are particularly pleased that the birthday surprise from our staff made you smile and that you enjoyed the hotel lobby's ambiance, the choice of drinks at the bar, and the entertainment provided. The complimentary bus service to Corralejo and the option for a late check-out are part of our commitment to ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for our valued guests like yourself. We sincerely hope we may have the pleasure of welcoming you back. Kind regards, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

My family and I stayed for 14 nights, self catering. There are plenty of good things to write about. The staff are really lovely and helpful. We stayed in a Superior villa which has a dish washer and washing machine which makes life easier during your stay. The resort is massive and our villa was 600 meters away from the pools, shops and bars. It can be cold at night due to wind so take a jacket. The pathways need some work, they are uneven and broken up. The water park is small but fun, especially for kids. The adult only pool is quiet and relaxing, however all pools are salt water and cold. There is one supermarket on site which is really expensive!! The restaurant on site is also expensive but the food is nice. You can upgrade to all inclusive which is €45 per day per person but the resort only allows a 4 days all inclusive upgrade. I can't talk from personal experience but other guests say the all inclusive food is average. The resort is in no man's land, which means you have to hire a car or use the resorts free bus. The taxi fare is at least €60 return. The free bus runs twice a day, 10:30am pick up and return is 3:30pm . Pick up 11:30am and return is 5:30pm. There is no evening bus, which means you are stuck in the resort unless you pay for taxi's. The entertainment is a little flat and boring but the younger kids love the kids disco, older kids seem bored. When we checked into the resort, we had to give them bank card details for a €200 deposit but they only take the money if there are any damages to your villa. The sea is some distance from the resort and there is no direct path down to the sea and it's very rocky and hard to walk there (not recommended unless you wear hiking boots) we took the free bus and went to the beach in Corralejo which is lovely. I personally would not stay here again but only because how far away the resort is from everything else. Over all it was pleasant enough

Dear Rachel, We are grateful for your feedback. We are pleased that you had a pleasant overall time with us and appreciated our team's kind attention and your amenities in the Superior villa. It's also wonderful to hear that you had fun at our water park and found the adult only pool to be a peaceful retreat. We have noted your whole feedback and do thank you for it. We would like to inform we are in continuous contact with the local municipality about the areas of our pathways that require attention, so as to maintain these public spaces at the best. Additionally, we empathize with your remarks about the saltwater pools and their temperature, and we continuously monitor this to ensure they are within the regulated range for our guests' enjoyment. We also would like to precise our guests have the option of visiting local supermarkets in nearby towns using our complimentary shuttle service. We are sorry that the entertainment did not live up to your expectations and are reviewing your comments with our team in order to improve our service. Finally, we are glad that the free shuttle service was beneficial during your stay, and that you enjoyed the beautiful beach in Corralejo. While we understand that our location may have seemed remote, we believe it contributes to the tranquil and natural ambiance that many of our guests appreciate. We always encourage exploring the surrounding areas of Fuerteventura, which offer a variety of experiences. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more enjoyable stay. Best wishes, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

Myself and 3 female members of my family shared a 1 bedroom villa for 5 nights. It would have been better to have had a 2 bedroom villa as there was limited space when the sofa bed was being used. Apart from that the villa was adequate for what we wanted. We had virtually everything we needed and the kitchenette was well equipped, including with washing up liquid, dishcloth and teatowel and even dishwasher tablets. The bin also had black sacks to use for rubbish. In the bathroom we had plenty of towels and toiletries on the wall in the shower. There were 2 things lacking, a handrail in the shower and a mirror in the bedroom. We needed extra pillows and we had an issue with ants but both issues were dealt with very quickly. We found all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very clean and well stocked at breakfast. As we were only bed and breakfast we found we were very limited when it came to eating out and going to Corralejo by taxi cost €35 each way so going out for dinner was quite expensive. The shuttle bus only went at 10.30am and 11.30am and came back at 3.30pm and 4.30pm and had to be booked the day before. If you want to explore the area a car is essential as the Village is in the middle of nowhere. Please be aware a €200 deposit is payable on arrival, we are currently waiting for it to be refunded. All in all we had a good mini break but any longer than that wouldn't have been for us.

Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are pleased to hear that our villas were well-equipped to your satisfaction and that our kitchenette met your needs with a complete set of amenities. It's wonderful to know that you found our team friendly and helpful and that the cleanliness and offerings at the breakfast service lived up to your expectations. However, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the limited space when utilizing the sofa bed. We understand that comfort is paramount and would like to remind future guests that we offer a variety of villas, including options with more bedrooms for additional space. Regarding the need for a handrail in the shower and a mirror in the bedroom, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We're also glad that we could promptly resolve your requests for extra pillows and assist with the unexpected ant issue. Your notes on the shuttle service schedule and the necessity of a car for exploring the area are well-received; we do recommend renting a car for those wishing to fully discover the beauty of Fuerteventura. We must also express our apologies for any concerns surrounding the deposit. Our policy aims for transparency, and we endeavor to refund deposits as swiftly as possible, although sometimes there are delays from banking institutions. We're honored that you chose Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare for your mini break and are glad that overall, you enjoyed your stay. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again, perhaps in a villa that better suits your space requirements for a more comfortable experience. Warm regards, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

Very disappointed with the overall experience of our Holiday The picture advertised makes the apartments look quite spacious, however they we quite small and for a family of 4 I felt like we were tripping over eachother all the time. The food was mediocre and they had the same options every lunch time and evening for the kids. ( Hot dogs and dried up pizza) The bar snacks in-between meal times were pre made ham sandwiches and plain crisps, definitely not what we were expecting......you do have the option to buy pizzas and hot dogs from the pool bar ( which are also included in the all inclusive package when the restaurant is open, so if I did wish to have a pizza, why I would have to pay for this is beyond me) If you wish to have a sunbed around the main pool ( that doesn't open until 10am) be prepared to have an early breakfast because you will be queuing from 9am and will be hearded like cattle through the gate when it opens and you will have to run otherwise you have no chance of sitting anywhere. The entertainment in the evening was a 30 min kids disco ( with the same 9 songs played every night) The drinks served were ok, lots of options for adults and kids. The onsite supermarket or rather mini market was highly marked up. The pathways were all broken and quite dangerous. The arcades had about 5 games only 2 were working, the same as the games room where only one of the 3 pool tables was in working order, air hockey was also out of action. The overall cleanliness of the resort cannot be faulted, it was always clean and tidy in the communal areas, the apartments were also cleaned, bedding and towels changed every 4 days. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Dear Guest Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are pleased that you found our resort clean and tidy, and that our staff were polite and helpful. It's great to hear that the variety of drinks met your expectations, offering options for both adults and children. However, we regret to hear that the apartment felt cramped for your family of four. We would like to point out that we offer a range of accommodations up to 63,5sqm for larger parties to ensure a comfortable stay. With regards to the dining experience, we apologize for the repetition in the menu and the options that did not meet your tastes. We are continually working to improve our food variety and quality. Moreover, we understand your frustration with the sunbed situation and would like to remind future visitors that our water park has ample relaxation areas and we encourage guests to enjoy the various pools and amenities. We are also sorry to hear about the condition of the pathways and the functionality of our arcade games. While we are in constant contact with the municipality to maintain public areas, we are committed to ensuring that our private facilities are up to standard. Finally, we are reviewing the pricing in our minimarket to ensure it offers value for our guests. Nonetheless, we hope that the positive aspects of your stay, such as our helpful staff and the cleanliness of our facilities, will encourage you to consider giving us another opportunity to serve you better in the future. Our resort offers a unique location by the ocean and is a perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of Fuerteventura. We hope to have the occasion to welcome you back for an improved experience in the future, Kindest regards. Jill Langer, Guest Manager

We returned from Origo Mare two days ago. We stayed in one bedroom villa no 551. Overal great experience and lots to do for kids. Food was good, different choice every day. The team on site very friendly and shared rhwir smiles all the time despite being busy running around. Our 9 and 4 years old loved the pools and slides on site. The lifeguard team was friendly and very helpful and immediately offered their help when noticed our little one slipping over in one of the pools. I would also like to mention that the deposit came back to us within 24 hrs from the checkout, which was great. The site is located further away which we were aware at the time of the booking and made a decision to rent a car therefore had no issues regarding the location. We were pleased with our experience and had not seen any ants (thought worth mentioning since seen some others commenting re issues with ants). All areas well maintained and cleaned degularly which was great to see. Couple things that should be improved: 1. Sofa bed was really unconfortable to sleep on and gave horrible noises each time you made a move; 2. Villa could really do with some fresh paint inside..3. We were not allowed to bring out breakfast for one family member who could not attend breakfast due to not feeling well (we were half board) so we felt it was a bit unfair since we paid for the service and it is not like we would ask to take unreasonable amount of foods out with us and explained the staff what situation/request we had. I would recommend to family with kids but would also highly suggest renting a car as this will allow you to visit beautiful beaches around as well as mountains, water park in Corralejo area etc.

After several attempts to book and not go due to fear of the comments. We have gone, but above all knowing the conditions of the establishment, such as the €200 deposit, check-in is at 5 p.m. and check-out at 10 a.m., towel or microwave rental...
Here goes our experience:
Upon arrival we were greeted by a girl named Carla, very friendly and explaining everything to us.
We go to the villa (by car) when we open the door we have a good impression and it smelled quite good, comfortable, good bathrooms, air conditioning etc.
We cannot comment on the food, since we did not use that service.
The water park and the lifeguards are perfect for children, although it is a windy area, and for our taste the water in the pools is too cold.
For us, the departure from the villa at 10, after asking and not giving us any option even if it was paying an extra, and the temperature of the pools, is more than enough to not repeat...but to like the colors ...
My advice is not to go without a car, taking into account that it is an area far from everything. And if you don't care about the temperature of the pools, it is ideal, especially if you are traveling with children.
Negative: Ants, if you are not careful with food scraps and do not keep everything clean, can be a big problem.
The last night a mouse entered us, we assume that since it is an urbanization and not very well maintained, it is normal. We called and technical service came to remove it (solved)
For us there is more negative than positive and we are going to return, but as I said before, to like colors, yes, I hope that our experience helps something and someone.

Great week had as a family of 4, 2 boys 7 & 10. The villas are spacious, clean (came in 3 times in the week) & on a large complex. Short walk to complex centre.Onsite Crater water park was great. Pools cold other than children's pool but once in its OK. Wave pool, slides for older and younger. Animation team have plenty going on day(games, yoga, aquafit, aquadance, cocktails, football, darts, ping pong etc)& night (quiz, animation team tribute show was brilliant, bingo, kids talent show, karaoke, pool and air hockey tables in the evening area), plus kids club if you want to use. Small arcade, sports bar. Karting onsite (€36 for the family for 1 hour) Great to head around the resort and down to the sea. 18 hole mini golf €5per club. Shop onsite pricey but fine for bits. Food is usual repetitive all inclusive but still reasonable options (fish, meat, veg, rice, pizza, burgers, nuggets, salad, bread, pasta, desserts, pastries). Gym small air conditioned with weights machines/bars/free weights/bench. Pool bar has icecream tubs, nuts, plain crisps as part of AI & sandwiches &additional pizzas/hotdogs at extra cost. It is remote but you can book the day before to go on the free bus to Correlejo (beaches/shopping mall/supermarket/bars/restaurants). The dunes &beach (the stop after Correlejo town) are amazing. The beach local has stones only. If its windy on your stay (we had 1/2 and 1/2, your shutters may rattle a little. Place towels/clothing between the shutters and doors and that seems to stop it. Staff were helpful and there's a QR code on the leaflet they give you on check in to take you to the app with event details. You can book excursions and watersports from the watersports centre or mini golf hut onsite. Drinks OK. Wine, beer and fruit juice in the restaurant and cocktails etc at the bar OK but you pay extra if you want the better brands. All in all don't worry about any bad reviews. You make it what you make it.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are thrilled to hear that you and your family had such an enjoyable week with us, finding the villas spacious and appreciating the cleanliness maintained by our dedicated housekeeping team. It's also wonderful to know that the Crater water park was a highlight and that our animation team's variety of activities added to your holiday fun. We regret to hear that you found the pools a bit colder than preferred. Our pools are maintained at a temperature that complies with Spanish regulations, ensuring they are comfortable for the majority of our guests throughout the year. Regarding the shutters, we are located in a naturally windy area, and while we strive to ensure the comfort of our guests, sometimes nature does have its way. We appreciate your resourceful solution and will consider ways to minimize this inconvenience in the future. Although our location offers a peaceful escape, we understand that it may be considered remote; hence, we provide a complimentary shuttle service to nearby towns for shopping and beaches, allowing our guests to explore the beautiful surroundings with ease. It is gratifying to learn that our staff's helpfulness stood out to you and that the ease of booking excursions and watersports activities enhanced your stay. While we acknowledge that tastes vary, we're pleased to offer a range of dining options to suit different preferences. We strive to provide a variety of quality drinks within our all-inclusive offering, and we're delighted that you seemed generally satisfied with the selection. At Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare, we are committed to delivering exceptional holiday experiences, and your insights are invaluable in this endeavor. Thank you once again for choosing us for your family holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Jill Langer, Guest Manager

Was lovely to get away for half term with the family but wont return to this hotel.
The water park was great for the children but the pools were freezing. The snacks at the bar by the pool were small cakes, crisps you place in a plastic cup and small tubs of ice cream.
The main restaurant we had great difficulty being a party of 11 finding a table big enough was difficult as they kept shutting off half of one side of the restaurant so we had to keep asking for them to find us a table and at times seemed frustrated with this and quite rude.
The children's food every night was hotdogs or burgers, chips and pizza that is it! I'm a vegetarian and they had only a handful of veggie meals. Not one piece of food in the restaurant was warm Luke warm.
One night around 9:30pm the bar staff removed all access to cups and hot drinks facility's and i like to get my children to have a drink before bed. I asked at the bar for cups and they gave me a frustrated look and slammed them on the bar, i had to ask for more as we are a party of 11 he got even more angry i have never experienced this in all the AI hotels I have visited.
Same happened to a child by his female colleague.
When visiting the shop a couple of the female workers were abrupt and rude.
The hotel provides a service you pay for and politeness and kindness should be compulsory.
We visited over Halloween and the hotel celebrated Halloween mainly for the adults and not advised for children over 12 terror house. The day after halloween kids were able to celebrate they put on a activity that started at 8:30pm you go to one area wait in a huge cue carry out a activity then get given a card showing the next location for the next part. Each cue was a 45min wait and with 4 children with ADHD was very difficult so we got to the last activity to win the prize around 11pm. My children tried really hard to complete a mini golf 6 and 9 they missed so the entertainer made us stand back in the cue for another 30 mins my children were crying at this point and tired being 11pm. I questioned this as we were the only family he did this too but he didn't care so much for fun for kids!
We absolutely loved the trip out in the free bus to the shops and beach and we even walked across the rocky terrain to the popcorn beach most days after breakfast heading for the stone elephant.

Dear Laura, Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare. We are delighted that you and your family enjoyed the water park and the trip on our free bus service to the local shops and beaches. It's great to know that the walk to the popcorn beach was a highlight of your stay. However, we regret to hear about the aspects of your experience that did not meet your expectations. We scored 3 stars mainly because our room was not serviced. We have stayed in one of the apartments for 5 days and on the 3rd day we contacted the reception in request for the bedroom to be service. I was advised they will be serviced on the 3rd day.
We came back late night and this was the 3rd day but it was still not service so we contacted the reception again and was advised someone will be around very soon for the room to be service and it was like half 7pm. I asked the reception whether they can just give me the bed sheets and covers and I can do myself but they didn’t allow. So we had no choice to just stick with it.
The whole experience of the hotel was really good like food and drinks.
Location was remote but we rented a car so it was handy to drive around and explore the island and locals are absolute gem.
The receptionist and room attendant really did let us down even though we paid €200 deposit on arrival and still not been returned.

The studios here are absolutely amazing, we stayed two weeks self catering and it has all the facilities needed to cook anything we wanted. Cleaners came round every day for our 14 day stay and emptied our bins, made and changed bedding, and changed towels. The terrace outside of our studio was just as nice, it had a great view and was blocked from the wind. We spent every evening until late hours sat outside.
We used the free shuttle bus provided to Corallejo to do our weekly food shops as the shop on site at the resort is overpriced but with the free shuttle bus it wasn’t too much of an issue. The adult only pool was lovely, but we spent most of our time at the pools dotted around the resort as one was only a 1 minute walk away from our studio and it was fairly quiet there with a big lovely pool.
Yes, the resort is quite remote but this is clearly stated on the website and through all booking agencies so this was expected when we booked the holiday and was not any issue, we only wanted a chilled holiday. I would advise if you are looking for a holiday closer to the main town, not to stay here.
The only real negative I had from the holiday was the pavements, there are very broken and it is a hazard, we weren’t able to pull our suitcases with the wheels constantly getting stuck. It would be more of a concern to those who struggle to walk or with prams for children.
Overall, we have loved our stay at the Origo mare resort and would definitely come again and recommend to others.

Response from Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare Resort
Responded 7 Apr 2023
Dear Ellie, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Fuerteventura Origo Mare holiday village. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your two-week stay in one of our self-catering studios and appreciated the daily cleaning service, as well as the terrace with its lovely view. It's also great to know that you made use of our free shuttle bus for your grocery shopping and enjoyed the adult-only pool and other pools around the resort. We understand that the broken pavements were a concern, and we would like to inform you that we are in constant contact with the local council to address this issue, as it is their responsibility to maintain public roads and sidewalks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. We are delighted that you would consider returning and recommending our resort to others. We look forward to welcoming you back for another relaxing holiday in the future. Best regards. Jill Langer, Guest Manager

There's a shuttle bus daily into Corralejo, apparently gets very full so I'd suggest hiring car from the airport check Autoreisen or payless & that would be less stressful than the transfer bus & you can go on day trips

Hi, I would be very loathe to recommend this resort for someone with severe allergy to go All INc. The food is very very basic ( i realise some families do like it like that) and there may not be a safe way to monitor your meals. Alternatively, we had some nice food down in Correjo Mall where the fre bus drops guests and also in el Cotillo ( free bus also) which has a lot of lovely eateries and cute shops. Good Luck.
