Detailed Reviews
I live in the carribean and have traveled quite a bit in the region.
I arrived around 1900 as i communicated to the hotel when booking. When i arrived it was almost completely dark and the place looked closed. But in the bar there were 2 ladies from the hotel. They requested me to pay the 3 nights upfront?!
I said i would pay each night after the atm visit. It was not possible to eat anything because the restaurant had closed!!! So i went to the room which is next to the parking lot and seperated from the street only by a low gate. The tv showed only 3 french tv channels. Although i haven't watched any tv for 5 years this would have been one of those night it would have been nice. My french is adequate but not enough to watch a dubded movie in french. The refrigorator made so much noise i immediately pulled the plug on it because sleeping would be impossible. Although it seemed clean it was very old. The room itself was very outdated and smelled musty. Then it turned out wifi didn't work in the room but only at the bar. So i sat there for a while to anwser some messages. Back in the room the bed didn't look very clean i checked the bedding and pillow and found cockroaches INSIDE the pillow after pulling away the bedding a few small ones ran across the bedside table.
I then tried to find the staff which was nowhere to be found. The bar area was closed off with roll down gates and now wifi wasn't working at all anymore. No phone anywhere to use to call the staff ?! No security nothing. Needless to say i didn't sleep well although i used my sleeping bag.I spoke to 2 french couples the next day staying in another room and they showed me the roof had leaked durjng last nights rain and their bed had been soaking wet. The staff offered me a different room which i refused and told them i was leaving.I didn't have to pay for my breakfast (the only good thing about the hotel)

When we arrived here at 10PM (right after our flight landed), there was nobody at the reception, despite our reservation! We ended up sleeping outside, exposed to mosquitoes with 3 young children aged 5, 2 and four months old. Our daughter is covered with mosquito sores. The owners completely denied any responsibility and requested a full payment for that day. The second night we discovered a rat in our unit. The rat ate our food overnight. We had to pay for two nights, including the one we had to camp because of owners' absence.
