No even idea how to start, in resume was a tramp, never water, never internet, no good communication, no quite as they said, always employees blasting music, kids crying and serious trouble with drugs, plus the "manager" is super rude and uneducated, cats getting killed right in front of guests rooms, never an apologies for all the messes and drama....

We lived at Hotel Yare for 6 months during our travels through Costa Rica. We absolutely loved it! The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The owner is such a nice lady and is working hard to make yare even better! We loved the huge trees on the property and all the monkeys, sloths, iguanas and other animals we...

I stayed at the Yare for 3 days for a wedding. You could tell immediately that work was being done to the property, painting was being done and construction during middle of day. They have a quiet time posted of 9am to 9pm and they stuck to it. On speaking to the Administration we were told that they had only...

We visit the Hotel for the holiday season with a big group, we ask for 3 rooms and got the ones in the back of the hotel, the maintenance for the hole hotel seems like it have not been done in a long time, there are parts of the trail going back to the rooms that where falling apart or...

We stayed 5 nights in one of the jungle bungalows and we loved it. It was a large room with comfortable beds, fan, bathroom with warm shower, and a great outdoor kitchen and hammock. It is the kind of little place we could imagine living in if we ever moved to Costa Rica! The grounds and gardens with all of...

This place is located just minutes from Puerto Viejo in a great location. As it is continuing to be remodeled, amazing work has been done already, and I am sure this is just the beginning. Beautiful talent, hard work, and Pura Vida love is located at this place. What I loved the most includes the following; the art that has...

I haven't slept here but i had breakfast and the pancakes where great! I really suggest to come and eat here. The new managers of the place are remodeling everything and try to have always fresh and delicious food. The manager is really putting all her love into it and you can feel it when you get there. I stayed at Yaré while waiting for my choice. After 5 days in my 1st choice I returned to Yaré. Like coming home. The staff are wonderful, from the front desk to the grounds keeper top notch. Very clean and maintained well. Beds are comfortable and shower hot. Fridge is cold. What else could a man need. Feels like home.

If you're 18 to 25, with plenty of disposable income and thinking funky adventure travel than Yare is the stay for you. At $55 for the night in a small concrete shelter with ineffective fan it's definitely overpriced but probably just reflective of what the market will bear locally. Interestingly constructed, raised a couple of feet above ground level, the...
