I stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions on business. It looks at first sight like a nice old hotel, mellow yellow stone and surrounded by country, but when you get inside you find it is a bit tired. The rooms are adequate, with fairly new but rather cramped bathrooms, but the general décor of the bedrooms needs...

Friendly staff. The food was awful I had the lamb shank the vegetables tasted funny, as for the old English breakfast it should have been called well and truly burnt breakfast. The room was untidy and really dusty. The kettle had seen better days once I managed to get it out the wardrobe. Why put a bedside table next to...

2 meals ordered both terrible! Half a slow roasted chicken missing the coleslaw and corn on the cob, the corn turned up at the end badly over cooked, the chicken was slimy and lacked any other texture. The sizzling chicken fajitas turned up on a cast iron plate and were only warm, the peppers were raw, the tortillas should have...

We paid extra for a superior room - expecting a superior room. Admittedly the bathroom was very nice and modern but nothing else about it could be classed as superior. The room was located on the corner right above a main busy road at a junction with traffic lights. The traffic noise made for a dreadful night's sleep. Coupled with...

I stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. I had the Queen Elizabeth room which was a good size with a sofa. The bathroom was well appointed and looked like it had been recently refurbished. My big gripe was why refurbish and still have a plastic shower curtain? The bedroom furniture was bizarre. A sofa that had seen...

It's convenient for the M4 and towns around Tetbury, Bristol and BAth. Huge car park and pleasant grounds. The rooms seemed to be newly spruced up with great bathrooms and comfortable, vintage furniture. Tea, coffee and chocolate brownies were welcome and bottles of water were a quality feature. The service was erratic though and staff had to be asked every...

Lunchtime, we opted for the soup and the pulled pork sandwich. Well we were so glad that we went for it, as it was outstanding. We would of paid our complements to the chef, but there was no one behind the bar at the time we left. Hopefully, they will read this review :) 10 out of 10

Had a three night stay in The Cross Hands Hotel, arrived to a very friendly receptionist who was more than happy to answer my questions. Beautiful olde building with wooden sash windows, the staff are very polite and extremely helpful I stayed in a single room en suite was comfortable and contemporary. The sash windows didn't keep all the road noise out of the room but wasn't too much of a distraction during the night. Food was fabulous and served promptly/politely .. the bar and...
