First of all - one must know what a 3 star is, let me remind everyone with this typical definition: "Properties in this classification place a greater emphasis on comfort and service, with many offering an on-site restaurant and bar. Baggage assistance is often available. Guestrooms typically feature more space, comfortable seating, and better quality bedding. Bathrooms are often larger,...

We didn't stay at the lodge, but we took the tour that we scheduled from our hotel room. It was awesome! Around the park we saw a poison dart frog, wild, tapirs, and of course the butterflies and humming birds. On the tram tour, we saw a sloth, monkey, and a different variety of plants and birds. We were lucky...

After a night in San Jose, we drove through Braulia Carrillo park and arrived at Rainforest Adventures. We were given a cabin in the forest and a guide named Jaime, who is an accomplished naturalist, who showed us sloths, birds, spiders, hummingbirds, orchids; all he knew about the rain forest. The food was included in our stay and very good....

Had a zip line tour with this place. Was a great experience. Great tour guide in Deniz, and great crew helping you zip through the rainforest. Overall great time, highly recommended doing the superman zip on the last leg of the zip line tour! The forest itself is so beautiful! Lush green trees and plants everywhere. See if you can...

Our agent booked us here for two nights, due to a cancellation in tortuguerio.. when we looked at it on a map, we saw that it was only about one hours out of san Jose, so we decided to stay in San Jose, and just do a day trip to the Rain Forest.. Boy are we glad we did!! after...

Greetings! Thanks for your opinion, we´re in fact a rainforest lodge for people who really wants to escape the city chaos…but we certainly offer other activities to enjoy during your stay like: zip lines, aerial tram, hanging bridge and more! We hope you´d enjoyed our country! Have a nice day!

A fantastic adventure! Even the coach trip from San Jose was interesting and informative. Our guide Ana Patricia was so lovely, and incredibly knowledgeable about every plant, animal, bird and insect! We had a short hike through the rainforest first, where Ana pointed out many things that we would have missed, then we went on the cable car going high...

Recently stayed 2 nights and was surprised by the lack of services. Sparse rooms with lights out at 9. Nowhere to hang wet cloths from the constant rain. The meals were cafeteria style and supper was a microwaved burrito. Very little of the advertised wildlife was seen on the guided hikes. Cost/Value of this lodge is low and don't recommend.

My 10 year old daughter is crazy about animals and she loved the idea of exploring the rainforest. The tram tour was interesting because our guide was very informative. We saw two sloths the first day. The food was typical Costa Rican food with little seasoning and the inevitable rice and beans, but the room was clean and the guides...

We wanted a place within 1 1/2 hrs. of SJO to stay our first night. We reserved a room at Rainforest Lodge, just past Braulio Carrillo National Park. It turned out that we were the only overnight guests that night. Our guide, Leo, came to the front gate to load our luggage and take us to our bungalow. Since it...

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved every minute of it. Leo, the guide, was exceptional. We saw sloths, tapirs, birds, dart frogs, 7 types of snakes, tarantulas, and numerous more wildlife. The accomodations were basic but nice, the food was good. Loved the tram and zip line. The only recommendation I would make is to wear long pants...
