Although we live locally we decided to spend a night at L'Auberge de la Tour de Brison so that we could both have a drink. I asked for a room with a terrace and we duly had a fabulous room with a lovely shaded outdoor area and air conditioning which was very welcome in 30+ degrees of heat. The food was lovely and the hosts friendly. We will return.....

We have booked for 5 days, combining 3 days in a family room and 2 days in "la cabane". My 3 children (12-13-15 years of age) and I enjoyed a great relaxing stay, after a week of adventure in the Ardeche region. You can tell this is a family held business from the moment you arrive. Pascale and Claude, together with their daughter are devoted to you and do everything to make your stay pleasant. The view from the terrasse of the restaurant, the swimming pools (one of 14 meter... decent to do some lengths), the quality of the food, the garden, the quietness... It is an ideal place for persons who can appreciate and are looking for an escape from the daily rush and stress situations. Don't go there for the wow hyper sonic TV station or game machines. Go there with a good book, a pair of hiking shoes, a photo camera, and enjoy the sound of silence and nature, sipping a glass of wine of a local producer. Great stay and very happy to be able to recommend this warm place.

Selected this based on previous TA reviews and not disappointed. A bit out of the way but the views over the valley from the restaurant terrace were amazing. Small menu- not written but described. The food was outstanding and we went with the recommended wine. Beautiful food in a beautiful location. We were the only English people there!

Visited this pittoresq hotel and restaurant based on a suggestion some friends made. It excelled our expectations. Located away from the touristic villages like Vogue and Sampzon this hotel has it's restaurant situated on a hill, offering a beautiful view of the countryside. Reserved a table by email and got a confirmation of the chef within 30 minutes. Mentioned a vegetarian in our family. The restaurant catered nice veg dishes. We (family of 5) visited the restaurant and had a very nice evening. Started with an aperitif a la masion. Fresh champagne like drink served with cherries. Waiters did not speak much english, so we had to revert to basic French. The starters were: salad with bacon and a home made pate with toast. Both were very tasty. Main course was chicken with french vegetables, an egg omlet and a garlic tomato. Accompanied by an Archeche wine called Imaginerie (not too dry, fruity, good aftertaste). Next was a selection of cheeses. Espescially the home-made cachon cheese was an explosion of taste. Very nice ! Off course (local) goatcheeses and some mild cheeses were in the selection as well. 4th course consisted of profiterolles (cream pastry with chocolate) , chocolate mousse and a selection of cakes. Just as with the cheeses, the guests get the entire cake selection and can choose their portion. We were also served the home made merengues. Topped it off with a good coffee and we went home very satisfied. 2 aperitifs, 3 sodas, 2 kids plates and 3 adult plates, bottle of wine and 2 coffees for appr. EUR 170. We will definitely go there again.

We made a reservation for a one week stay in peak season (end July 2017) and unfortunately had to cancel 3 weeks later due to unexpected family matters, - Despite cancelling 2 month in advance of the stay and the property immediately after rebooking our room/appt to a another customer (no availability anymore) they still charged us 155 EUR. This was a surprise as it was not clear at the time of booking. Despite making a request to the family to only pay the cancellation fee if the room remained free - they immediately went ahead and charged us - so beware!

Cordialement
