Set on top of a mountain this is a quite a surprising restaurant. On the day we went there were only another couple in. The menu was basic but good and reasonable. They also hold a alcohol licence. I would think it best caters for walker bird watchers etc. It was quite a large dinning room given its location. To...

We arrived around lunch time & felt like we were interrupting the woman serving. She was having a cuppa & rather than put the cup down & serve us, she continued to finish it !!! Anyway, lunch didn't get much better, we ordered pumpkin soup, beef nachos & potatoe wedges. Pretty sure the nachos were the culprit because the 2...

We enjoyed our stop here for afternoon tea. Lovely service with fresh made food on offer. A little pricey however the portions of the food were large. We had Toasties, a pot of tea, and homemade quiche. The ambience of the place was very peaceful and when the cloud cover started coming down over the mountain...it gave the whole atmosphere...

Stopped here with my partner for tea and coffee as well as some cake over the last weekend. Was absolutely wonderful service and everything was perfectly cooked and prepared! The weather was also magnificent; the entire top of the mountain was in the clouds and had a magical feeling to it. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We had lunch at the Rainforest Inn in Paluma yesterday. It was lovely sitting on the outdoor verandah in the cool rainforest breeze eating delicious food. I had quiche and it was marvelous. My partner had the steak sandwich which he said was delicious. The service was friendly and casual; the staff were relaxed and easy going. Paluma is an...

We stopped off there for lunch only to be greeted by a girl named Helena who was serving. We asked for a menu as there were a group of 5 people in front of the menu container. She told us they were just there instead of handing one to us all of the people had to move so we could...

Large rooms, very quiet. Clean and well kept. Ask before drinking the tap water (probably will be advised not to). Restaurant on site (BYOB), be aware of hours, not like some countries, most stuff here will be locked down before 8pm. Breakfast and lunch also available. This is a more rural location on a mountain so dining options are limited...

After change of ownership a little while back, this cafe/resterant is defiantly on the improve. This day we went out to Birthday Creek Falls, great, and decided to have coffee and desert on the way home to Townsville via Little Crystal Creek, also pumping! Very nice, along with friendly and reasonably prompt service. I would now recomend this establishment.

A wonderful & relaxing place to enjoy scones & coffee from the cafe served on the outdoor deck. Very peaceful & well worth visiting. Be sure to visit Crystal Creek on route, there is a lovely old bridge and waterfall. Don't forget to take your bathers.

We had an upstairs room that was very large and comfortable. It was a very peaceful quiet spot. The restaurant has good and well priced meals. Beware the drive up particularly if later at night as it is a 22 kilometres road which is very windy and narrow that can be foggy at the top.
